## What is Candor?

Candor is a private journal that lives on your iPhone. Every entry is encrypted on the device with your password — even iCloud sync stores ciphertext only. The on-device AI runs through Apple's MLX framework, so reflections, summaries, and  conversations never reach a server.
Free: writing, on-device AI, voice notes, mood, categories, full-text and semantic search, recovery via .ilbk backup, and Obsidian   
vault import.     
Pro ($2.99 Monthly) or $24.99/year (7-day free trial).: iCloud sync across your Apple devices, all exports (.ilbk, ZIP, Markdown, Obsidian).                                      
No accounts. No tracking. No telemetry. If you delete the app, your data goes with it unless if you back up with iCloud in cypiertext that even apple cannot see your note.

  Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription
   renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the
  current period. Renewals are charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the
  current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account
   settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when
  purchasing a subscription.
