## What is CanIApp?

How many times a day do your kids ask, “Can I use my tablet?” “Can I watch YouTube?” or “Can I play a game?”
And somehow, those questions always seem to come while you are making dinner, on a phone call, trying to get out the door, or doing something else that already has your attention.
Before you answer, you run through the same mental checklist. Is there any reason the answer needs to be no? Is homework finished? Are chores done? Is the room actually clean?
If something is not finished, you explain what still needs to happen. If your child says everything is done, you may have to stop and check. Then comes the next round: “Is my room clean now?” “Can you check again?” “What about now?”

Can I takes that entire back-and-forth and puts it in one place.

Problems Can I helps families solve

• Constant interruptions from “Can I?” questions, usually while you are already busy doing something else.
• Running through the same mental checklist before every answer: Is homework finished? Are chores done? Is the room actually clean?
• Whether or not the kids have finished their chores.
• Repeating the same rules and expectations over and over.
• Hearing that everything is finished, only to check and find that something was forgotten or was not really done.
• Being pulled into the “Is my room clean now?” “Can you check again?” “What about now?” loop.
• Turning a simple “not yet” into a negotiation because your child does not understand what is standing between them and a yes.
• Keeping track of different expectations for each child, including whose turn it is to handle a shared chore.
• Remembering when rules should change for weekends, summer break, custody schedules, or other changes in your family’s routine.
• Becoming the only person who can answer every request, even when your child already knows the rules.

Can I solves these problems by letting you set your family’s expectations once and putting the mental checklist somewhere everyone can see it. When a child asks to use a tablet, play a game, or do something else, the app checks the responsibilities, chores, schedules, restrictions, and rules that actually apply to that child. It then gives a clear answer: Yes, Not yet, or Ask a parent. If the answer is Not yet, your child sees what still needs to happen. If the decision genuinely needs you, it is sent for parent review. You still make the rules and keep the final say. Can I makes those rules easier to remember, apply consistently, and understand without repeating the same conversation all day. For simpler tasks, you can still use child check-off or parent confirmation. The goal is fewer arguments over what “done” means, fewer trips to inspect it yourself, and fewer rounds of “Can you check again?”

Can I has premium verification tools for the jobs that cause the most back and forth. A checkmark only tells you that a child says a job is done. Photo Check and Live Scan are smart verification methods where Can I is able to know if a task is actually done. Photo check is great for verifying things like the dishwasher was emptied, while live scan is great for chores like a clean room, where one carefully framed photo may not tell the whole story.

Can I is made for real family life. Responsibilities can apply to multiple children, chores can rotate, and schedules can adjust. Children are not blocked by work that was never assigned to them.

The parent dashboard brings requests, pending reviews, restrictions, and anything needing your attention together. Notifications tell you when a child is waiting for your decision, so you do not have to keep checking the app.

Whether you are making dinner, working, on the phone, or simply tired of answering the same question for the fifth time, Can I helps replace repeated negotiations with clear expectations.

Can I can never replace you as a parent. It gives you tools to make the hard parts easier.
