This app is in dire need of an update. It’s supposed to serve as a live view-finder and it can’t even do that, which alot of the more recent reviews are saying as well.

The app should connect once and have all the new photos there and saved on the app. If I were to lose the camera and hadn’t downloaded all the pictures, the app is useless. It is not as productive as it could be. Please improve the app. I cannot even see the gallery anymore, need to use the SD card. Disappointing for so much money spent on the camera it self.

If only we can give a 0 Star. I downloaded the app, put the sd card in and let my grandkids take pictures. When I tried looking at the pictures with the app it says disconnected. The app just keeps closing itself. Total waste of time and money. Lesson learned don’t buy anything Canon

I have tried multiple times to get this camera to work, or to use the app on my phone (iPhone 11). This set up is pure junk. I can’t see what I am shooting, I can’t access the library when I am done. Worthless and a complete waste of money. Don’t buy it!

After previously using canon camera and the apps that correlated with them I was eager to try out this new easily handheld camera with a seemingly user friendly and functioning app. Unfortunately after downloading the app it became clear that it was not user friendly, after tinkering with it for a bit I was able to connect my camera, or so I thought. Although the camera “connects” every time I go to try and access the photos (which is the whole point of this app) my device attempts to and then fails as each time the device disconnects. It is extremely frustrating because one of the main appeals to this device was the app, hopefully they will improve upon this

コンパクトで操作もシンプルでどこにでも持っていけるのがいい所なのですが、スマホとの接続が悪すぎです。
接続悪くて撮影した写真見れないしな〜と思うとカメラを使用する頻度も減りました。
調子がいい時は一回で繋がるのですが、ほぼ調子悪いです。何回やっても繋がらなくて面倒になって諦める事がほとんどです。
撮りっぱなしで確認してない写真がたくさんあります。

親がテレビ番組で宣伝されてるのを見てこれ対応のカメラを買ってきてしまいました
あんなシンプルな構造なのに起動が遅いのがヤバいですね
カメラモードにダイヤルを合わせて数秒待たされます
本体も滅茶苦茶熱くなります
あと写真見ようと思ってもカメラとスマホのペアリングに数十秒待たされます
アプリの問題なんですかね
画質が悪いのは値段考えれば仕方ないけど…
設定してる間中「これスマホのカメラでよくね？」って考えが頭をよぎり続けました
口には出せませんでした

60代の母から設定を頼まれたのでやってますがひどい。
Bluetooth、Wi-Fiをオンにしてシリアルナンバーを入れて、と説明書通りにやってますが認識しない。
シリアルナンバー見間違えかな？と0をoで打ってみたり8をBで打ってみたり何度も何度もやりました。こちらのシリアルナンバーの打ち間違いではないようです。
Canonという大企業がこんなアプリでいいんですか？という思いでいっぱいです。
楽しみに待っている母になんていえばいいのか。
久しぶりに父がこんなプレゼントしてくれたのって、嬉しそうに言っていた母に

これ使えないよって、いえますか。

怒りに震えています。

あと私の時間を返してください。

家族みんなプリンターはCanon派ですが
私はもうCanon買いませんから

追記
一度アプリを落として再度チャレンジしたところ接続できました。
そんな事でできるようになるなら一言説明書に書いておいてください。

The most annoying part of the app is that you need to save every single video to your camera roll in order to watch it. Why wouldn’t you be able to watch them in the app? Who has 10 minutes at a time and unlimited storage to download all these videos?

久しぶりに写真を撮って画像を確認しようと思ったらWiFiが繋がらず、繋がったとしても画像が消えていました。
アプリとデバイスの情報を消してまっさらな状態からやり直すと、昔撮った写真は出てきましたが最近撮った写真は1枚も出てきませんでした。
これはSDカードには保存されてるんでしょうか？
インスタントカメラより不便です。
販売終了したらそれで終わりなんでしょうか...？

After updating to iOS 17, every time I connected to the camera's Wi-Fi, the app crashed and quit, making it unusable.

It hasn't been updated in 3 years, so I no longer feel reliable, so I'll probably never buy a Canon camera again.

再起動してもスマホ本体を最新バージョンにしても繋ぎ直したり初期化してもとった写真は一枚も反映されない。
何が悪いのかはわからないけれどmicroSDの外側のSDカードどこにぶん投げたか思い出せないのでもっぱら本体は板タブのちょうど良い角度をつけるのに使われている。

Bought the camera. Downloaded the app onto my iPhone. Made the Bluetooth connection. Then we descend into the circle of buffering and software errors. Does not retain the connection. Does not upload the photos into the iPhone. It does nothing. And the instruction manual has no instructions on downloading by or displaying the photos on your iPhone. Come on Canon. Sort it out.

あまりデータサイズが大きくないアプリなのが好印象。ペアリングもスムーズでした！
ただ、たくさん写真を撮って楽しむカメラなのにアプリでのスマホへの保存は一枚ずつ開かないとダウンロードできないという。最低限一覧から複数選択して保存・削除はできるようにしてほしい。
2/21追記… 写真10枚ずつまでしかできないけど複数できるようになりました！カメラ本体のアップデートがきたけれど接続中のまま止まってしまった。

The app doesn’t work. The unit connects on iPhone through Bluetooth and you can change some settings but as soon as you click on the remote capabilities and image gallery where it connects through WiFi it disconnects the Bluetooth and fails to connect.

The app doesn’t work with iPhone, hard to connect, constantly drops out.
However it works great on my Samsung phone.
No issues on that phone with their app.

Sorry in Japanese...
「Wi-fi接続できませんでした。後でもう一度お試しください。」のメッセージが表示され、二度と繋がらなくなりカメラの中身も見れない（Version1.0.3 build40）。

iPhoneXsでは電源再起動でもダメ。アプリの削除&再インストールで繋がるようになりました。アプリ内のデータ初期化で復旧したよう。
恐らくカメラとアプリ間の何らかのパラメータが同期が取れなくて発生しているのでしょうけど、一旦発生したらアプリデータを消さない限り2度と復旧しません。

カメラ接続時のアプリデータの初期化処理が無いかバグってるのか分かりませんが対処&バージョンアップは必要なレベルですね。
カメラ側のパラメータと辻褄合わんからエラーにするんじゃなくて、毎回カメラ側パラメータに合わせてアプリデータを更新しないとダメじゃない？やってるんならバグ直さないと。

とりあえず復旧方法を見つけたので使います。

モノとアイデアが良いだけにスタートでコケたのが非常に残念。
限られた予算の中で何とか頑張って出荷に漕ぎ着けたのかもしれませんが、リリースしたからには修正しないとイカンですね。心折れずに頑張って頂ければと思います。

あ、あと、Wi-Fi接続中の動画撮影中に、iPhoneの画面OFFで撮影が止まらないように出来ないですかね。。。

撮った画像が綺麗に表示されるまで時間がかかるし、１つずつダウンロードして次を見て表示されるのを待ち、またダウンロードして…と複数まとめてダウンロードできないのがストレスになります。
改善されたら嬉しいです。

子どもとツーショットを撮るのに楽しく使えました。
