The issue was that once the window where you type in the code you receive pops up, as soon as I tried to type in said code, the window just disappears, essentially freezing me out of the app. Having said all that, if the app's anything like getting on through the website, it's horrendous. Another reviewer mentioned the lack of being able to view pending transactions, which is something I very much liked about the previous platform. Another issue I've been facing is that my transaction history is not up to date with my account balance. But, to avoid being completely negative, there is one new ability I like: being able to deactivate/activate any debit cards associated with your account with one tap of the screen. But, beyond that, my opinion is best summed up by "If it isn't broke, don't fix it." ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2021-11-10, version 8.0.3* It worked once after much effort, iPhone app is only slightly better. ### 1/5 — Canvas CU app for iPad *2020-09-28, version 8.0.3* Right to the point - this is a lousy piece of app design and implementation. App freezes often and offers no solution to reset the app without restarting your device. The design is pedestrian at best and with all the other financial apps to use as templates it is inexcusable. I’d like to give it a zero stars but that doesn’t seem possible. ### 1/5 — Useless — still *2019-04-05, version 8.0.2* Still doesn’t work on new iPads — crashes on startup, even after redownloading the app. Even after the April 2019 update. I enter my login information at the front screen and it crashes every time. I can't say if it is the app or due to the older iOS 9. The app won't let me set a password and all I get is that meaningless message. 1 star. But nothing but problems when you've got 2 logins. App and the website I have to repeatedly enter a security code. Cannot change your password, can only forget or reset which requires acct/mbr number, son, bday. Then there's the issues with linking it to quicken. Were customer types even thought about when creating these? Was it even tested? Which, frankly, mirrors the overall deterioration of the credit union itself. Get the app if you must, but a better idea would be to do what I did: move my money to a different institution that is customer-focused. ### 4/5 — Canvas *2022-10-14, version 8.0.3* Been with PSCU aka Canvas now, over a decade. Seen a lot of changes in that time and been to lots of branches! Financed 2 cars through them and got a better rate than other places. Love my credit union, most ppl that work at branches treat you like a person not a number. Canvas app works great now, maybe just add to homepage when you are having troubles or outages so we members know whats going on. It does the basics, but the functionality is very limited, the display is poorly designed, and it was a huge step backwards from what they had before they rebranded.
