### 4/5 — Great app

*2014-02-05*

It's a great app but needs some bug fixes

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2013-09-03*

So far so good of an app.

### 4/5 — It's great

*2013-07-27, version 1.5*

The idiot that gave one star just doesn't understand the product or he hasn't read the manual (if £1.49 is a big deal he hasn't launched a company yet either!) . This is a brilliant app and allows you to use the clean canvas model easily.

Using it on the ipad means I can adjust and make changes to my models easily and update any new information I find quickly.

This isn't a game app it is for those that want to create proper business ideas quickly so that you can see if they are viable or not or if you need more information. It also shows you immediately where you need to test.

A great product based on a great idea.

### 4/5 — Simple but useful

*2013-01-13*

Good, useful, inexpensive. Alternatives are expensive and less flexible.

Two small tweaks requested:
* Ability to models built with the clean model template
* Bug fix: text color selection doesn't display on canvas.

Keep up the good work!

Especially appreciate the clean model template, so users can create own models. Please add the ability to title the clean model sections.

### 4/5 — Really simple

*2012-12-16, version 1.2*

does one thing and does it well.

BUT (and its the reason it doesn't get 5 stars) - why doesn't it auto-save? The number of times I've lost work as I switched to another app to check on something; if I wanted to deal with that nonsense I'd use Microsoft Word.

### 4/5 — The tool I've been looking for since reading Running Lean

*2012-11-24, version 1.1*

This is becoming one of my most used iPad apps. It's worth 10x what I paid for it. So much better than using web based canvases and Keynote templates. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it needs to auto save like other iOS apps and the templates are missing instructions to remind users what goes in each section. Really looking forward to seeing this develop.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No iOS11 support?!

*2017-11-13, version 1.7.0*

Was a great app, I hadn’t used in a while. When I tried to use it this morning I saw that I couldn’t even open the app b/c it was not available. I’ll re-rate once it’s up and going again.

### 1/5 — Canvas model design

*2012-10-26, version 1.0*

Probably the worst app that I have ever had the misfortune to download. Doubly bad as I downloaded it after seeing the ad on the Internet. Features on the Internet aren't present in the app. There are NO features on this other than a weak post it note interface and an e-mail function. Bad, really bad.

I've had this app for less than 9 hours and it's about to be deleted. £1.49 down the drain.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2013-08-03*

The app works well enough, but it's disappointing that it's useless if you want to add any meat to the sticky notes. The notes don't display very much of the information you input (only the first two or three words). Additionally, the sticky notes are too big for the boxes - one runs out of space quickly. I was hoping this would allow for inputting a lot of depth, like the actual canvas model and book suggest.... But it doesn't.

### 2/5 — Ok but easy to do with any tool

*2013-06-03*

I really don't see the big value of this. It provides a basic structure and simplified graphical framework that you could easily do with a ppt slide and a word doc. I guess it's ok for play but really, is a great example of a tablet app replacing what one could do with just an editor and a drawing program.

Not bad at all and a nice try' maybe even great potential as a unifying 'cabinet' for pulling together multiple docs but again, a moderately competent person could build a better system using standard tools.

### 2/5 — Needs work

*2012-12-15*

1. Add a link in the App for support PLEASE!
2. Canvas layouts included are not as advertised - unacceptable
3. No explanations for the processes
4. No tappable links to sites offering usage or process guidance
The developers need to explain how to use this tool in addition to showing the feature overlay

### 3/5 — Mediocre

*2013-07-04*

The app is a decent implementation, better than the official Osterwalder app, at any rate. It has several functional and feature shortcomings that knock it down two stars.

1- It has a tendency to forget where postits are placed when you move in and out of a canvas or the app. Sliding a bit up or down in Value Prop is ok, but covering another or accidentally moving to Channels is not.
2- It cannot group canvases together. I have a set of canvases for one business, and then a different set for another. In this app, they are all lumped together. This is a simple to implement but crucial feature.
3- It has a tendency to lose postits when you leave and return to the app. It is infrequent, but it happens.
4- Support is non existent, although that is common for ios apps.

### 3/5 — Has promise, but it's not finished yet...

*2013-05-06, version 1.3.1*

This is a nice, easy app top get started with business model canvas writing. It has good hints for each section and the "post-it" note function works really well.

The #1 thing it needs is some export / sharing functions beyond the existing "email an image." I want to be able to export the text as well, in *some* format (almost doesn't matter right now). Would also be very useful to have Dropbox or iCloud support.

I hope the devs keep going because this is a good start and it will need keep improving to retain a place on my iPad. :)

### 3/5 — Great app...

*2012-10-24, version 1.0*

I was looking for something like this on a mobile platform and I think this it! After buying and trying for a week, one of my canvases has stickies that are growing larger in size! It still has all my data, but aesthetically, it doesn't look as good anymore as stickies overlap each other on the canvas making it hard to read. Other than that, it's a great tool for "whipping up" a canvas to help validate ideas during discussions. Good job.

### 4/5 — Articulate ideas easily

*2016-02-28, version 1.7.0*

Very easy to use, and a great way to explain ideas you have to others due to the way it organises each part. Also as the user you get the important details fully developed quickly.

The only issue I found using it on an iPad Mini was the drawing function, as the limited size of the resulting stickies means it is hard to get much of use down in graphical form. Would be great to be able to import a .png/.jpg, etc or perhaps have the sticky increase in size while drawing takes place.

But my favourite app currently, using it daily.

### 4/5 — Well put together! Dropbox support yeah!

*2015-07-23*

Thanks for this tool, as it is great and now shareable via Dropbox!

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love the experience

*2020-04-16*

Easy to use, looks good and works well. It’s given me more confidence in my ideas.

### 5/5 — Needs full iOS 11 compatibility: split-screen, drag and drop;

*2018-03-16*

The app is simple in design and use. It works well from everything I’ve tested so far.

The drag & drop within the app works well. I used it to create a simple Kanban (Scrum, Agile, etc) board.

It needs full compatibility with iOS 11 like adding split-screen and drag and drop from other apps (text, images, handwritten notes). Also it would be nice to have some integration with Apple Notes and Apple Reminder apps.

### 5/5 — Brilliant and simple to use

*2015-05-24, version 1.7.0*

This is so easy to use. Brilliant and so visual.

### 5/5 — great app

*2013-05-16*

The app is very easy to use and useful if you want to set and share your business idea!
More than I expected for the price

Looking forward for collaboration features.

### 5/5 — Business Canvas

*2013-05-05, version 1.3.1*

A fantastically easy tool to use either individually or with a group.
Clarifies options and makes it easy to start and track any project. I wonder how I managed before.

### 5/5 — Easy to Iterate

*2013-04-29*

One of the cool things about this particular one is the inclusion of the Validation Numbers, this help me to know if a particular model has been tested. Cant wait to see the collaboration options. But so far its easy to create canvases.

### 5/5 — Great Usability

*2013-02-14*

One of the most important things in an app for me is the user experience. The gesture-based interface and animations for this app make it a joy to use. I'm really excited about the work I've been able to do with it so far.

### 5/5 — Great idea new update crashes it

*2012-11-06*

Nice simple app
But so buggy that it crashes on save every time
Bought it a few weeks ago and managed to use it
Although you must remember to save. No auto save.
Unfortunately the last update has killed it. Now can't save at all.
