All of the layers. Being able to make your own brushes and texture/stamps! Nice starting brushes! There are already textures you can explore! Good layout! Things that I would change, but you don’t have to :) Copy and paste buttons show a bunch of random options when you click it instead of immediately copying/pasting (Add drawing layer, etc..) More Layer Options. Bugs: Undo button doesn’t undo immediately on some try's. Onion skin goes over drawing but goes back under when drawing or it fixes itself for that frame. Sometimes it’s a bit laggy drawing/erasing if your too fast/rough with it. Overall you all did an amazing job! But it could use some updates please :) thank you so much!! I would like to have that fixed, or instructions on how to fix it. Other than that, this is a really good app! It feels very natural to draw in. I would like some features added, like blending modes, but it’s not missing much, and it’s probably the best free app! ### 4/5 — Why can’t you cut the audio *2022-03-04* When I was about to make the animation I wanted to edit the audio and cut it to make it shorter Because well I’m was making a short animation When i realized there was no cutting option for the audio I had to do it the longer way This is just a suggestion but maybe could you add the option to cut the audio so we can edit the sound and possibly make it shorter if we wanted too ### 2/5 — Deletes all my frames *2022-02-14, version 2.7* This is probably the best animation app I’ve seen, except for one huge thing. If I press play to preview my animation, it will erase every frame. It will also delete every frame if I exit the project and go back in. Animating in the app was pretty fun. But there are some cons but I’ll explain the pros first. The first thing I like about this app is the set up, it has a nice to look at setup and it’s easy to navigate. It have an option where you can import audio which is nice. You can add frames and layers easily. The brush, eraser, and paint bucket tool work fine, could be improved but still good. The key frames work fine. That’s all I could think of at the moment. Now onto the cons which are more important. So the first con is the layers, it’s hard to tell if you’re on the right layer since there’s no picture in the layer area to show the drawing on the layer you intend to draw on, also you can’t change the layer opacity. I drew on the wrong layer multiple times. The next problem is the brushes, the only ok brush tool is the hard brush, it’s too pixelated though. I think less pixelated brushes will make the art look better. Also the “lasoe” tool isn’t great. It’s hard to select exactly what you want. The transformation tool is hard too, it meshes instead of making it smaller (it hard for me to explain). The onion skin is also a bit annoying, you can’t turn it off, I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off. I also with you could change the background color without having to paint bucket an entire layer. Also whenever I used the colorpicker doesn’t colorpick the exact color. It alters it. Also I couldn’t use the audio feature since it crashes my iPad. Also when I exported my animation it completely altered the colors. They were completely different, they were opposites. I couldn’t fix it. In the app when it wasn’t exported that wasn’t a problem. That’s all I could think of. Overall I like this app, I had fun animating, and I have high hopes that this’ll be a good app! (Ps sometimes the undo and redo wouldn’t work, and I think it would be nice to have a line stablelizer.) ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible User Interface *2024-12-21, version 3.0* The interface is pretty unusable on a MacBook, here is what I experienced: 1) Any action I do the EDIT->UNDO is always greyed out. 2) There are 2 Undo/Redo buttons that do something sometimes and works temperamentally. 3) I click on “A” to add text, click on the screen it adds “TEXT” but then click on the text to edit it, it would create another “TEXT”,… 4) Undo does not remove it, and using the SELECT tool opens up another menu of Apply/Cancel/Copy, nothing seems to be helping to change the text. 5) I click “+” in the keyframe editor thinking it would create a Key, annoyingly the whole text disappears, and another 5 layers are created. 6) Clicking DELETE on the layers does not restore my original, 7) Clicking the “+” on the left to add a layer, I select “Drawing Layer”, add text, is no longer editable, by far clicking the arrow icon would create some lines to “select” but that’s about it. I have no idea how the business agreed to release this, has anyone done any “quality control” checks for such software!?!!? ### 1/5 — Overall not good *2024-07-05, version 3.0* Laggy choppy and keeps crashing it was good at first but honestly the only thing going for this is the features but only if the app actually lest you use it ### 1/5 — I can’t even use *2024-03-30, version 3.0* I keep crashing every time I click it ### 1/5 — WHAT IS THIS *2024-01-18* bro whenever i go over 72 frames everything just starts lagging, and when i try to do something about it, i can't. it will not let me click on anything when it has started glitching. also somebody tell me where is the copy and paste stuff. ik that you can copy and paste in the same frame but it seems like i cannot when it is 2 fraems. ### 1/5 — Never buy anything from this man!!!!!! *2023-05-13, version 3.0* All of his apps crash when you try to open them. There's no manual, and the support link in the App store is broken. I can't get anything on the app to stay - I import a picture, it is there and then when I do anything it disappears. I draw a circle, do something, it disappears. I admit that I am a beginner with these programs, but there is nothing intuitive about this one, and there is no help to be found. It has a simple interface. I really hope that soon they can have a tweening type feature (Similar to ToonSquid) I’m not sure If there is a watermark (I hope there isn’t or it isn’t too big) But overall it’s good **Developer response:** Tweening is coming in the next update! ### 5/5 — Layers *2021-10-18* I gotta say this is one of the best free animation apps I have used! But there’s just one little problem that stresses me a bit I wish there was a way to control the layer opacity! Is there a way you guys can update that? Thanks for the feedback! ### 5/5 — Vectors? *2021-06-21* Is it possible to have an option to use vectors instead pixels, and object drawing options(separate strokes or combine strokes(?)) also, maybe more shape options? What i’m saying is that maybe integrate adobe animate features into this app, like the bone tool. Overall, if adobe animate features could be integrated in, this would be the best animations app for iPad and the Adobe animate fro iPad. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2021-06-02* Probably the best free animation app ive found that isnt flipaclip. heck maybe even better than it! ive been searching for a good while for a different animation program that has similar features to flipaclip, especially one that lets you add audio. i was very surprised to see there was already a colored onion skin you didnt have to pay for as well. the way it works definitely gives me medibang vibes which is out of my comfort zone but im for sure willing to get used to it :) ### 5/5 — Great but… *2021-05-11, version 2.7* The app is great just I can’t draw with the black color for some reason. ### 5/5 — It’s great! Just a few things, though.. *2020-10-10* I love this app. It has so much potential, and I love how many things are available to us, as opposed to other animation apps. However, sometimes the app will freeze and exit me out, making me lose some of my work. Most of the time it happens when I use the fill command. When I try and zoom in on something the app kind of bugs out and will zoom in too close or zoom out, or flip the canvas. Occasionally with the brushes, the line will break up as you draw it.
