Better to call, but lost discount. Not fit for purpose atm… 🙄 ### 5/5 — Lovely driver *2023-12-24, version 34.5.9* Perfect lovely driver. Thank you ### 1/5 — App from 2007 *2023-06-23, version 34.3.8* The app feels from 2007. And now you cant no longer use it without registering, and i cant register because they dont like my passwords. Back to the 90s and book taxis via phone. Those were better times. Just kill this app, it makes your company look bad. ### 2/5 — Great company and drivers, terrible app *2022-07-15, version 33.7.4* I am in Edinburgh for one month and I need to use capital cars twice a day for work and to complete the financial investigation work required( part of a contract and account ) . I have have however tried dozens of time trying to get the app to work but after putting my telephone number in the app it comes back and says it will send me a confirmation text which I never receive. There is no way around this annoying and frustrating issue and considering my company will be paying at least £500/£600 in the next 20 days in fares for myself alone you would have thought a simple thing like an app would have been easy to organise. Please either resolve or remove this app as it is doing untold damage to your companies credibility to outside financial institutions and companies. ### 2/5 — Please fix.. app crashing when adding payment card *2022-07-02, version 33.7.4* Removed an old payment card and trying to add a new one - app crashes ### 1/5 — My taxi didn’t show up *2022-06-05, version 33.6.13* App repeatedly said taxi was “10 min away” before I eventually managed to call the driver who informed me he wasn’t coming. No update via the app. Absolute joke. Will avoid at all costs in future ### 5/5 — App *2022-04-13, version 33.5.37* I love capitals cars and all the drivers are normally nice and friendly. The app on the other hand is not worth. There are a lot of issues with it and if you need a taxi is easier just to call them and book it. I get that this is the way they want to go from now on but until the app is working properly I am avoiding using it. Payments, waiting times, the map that shows where the driver is, etc all those things are not working properly. A better investment on the development side of the app needs to be done for it to be effective and efficient as currently is not. ### 1/5 — Not functional *2020-11-30, version 32.1.30* Have used this company & app in the past, but since upgrading, it first insisted I wasn’t registered (despite a history of getting emails/texts of journeys previously) - then on trying to register, was unable to complete by verifying my phone number since no confirmation text ever arrived. Have switched to using City Cabs instead - their app was quick and easy, and from experience their pricing is far more transparent (Capital Cars claim you get 20% off their fare price, but drivers frequently ‘forget’ or ‘estimate’ this discount) ### 1/5 — Confusing *2020-11-27, version 32.1.30* I really don’t like this new app......it gives you the option to pay by card but when the journey is finished the driver is saying to pay by cash honestly so annoying please fix this error😕 ### 2/5 — Beware! *2020-09-27, version 30.1.2* The app is alright, I’ve never had a problem with it, however I’d recommend you be very alert when dealing with the final cost of any journey and electronic payments. During recent journeys drivers have not correctly calculated and applied the 20% discount from the meter fare, as advertised.
