We were quoted for a £60 ride and immediately charged £72 to the account; Scam! ### 1/5 — Driver doesn’t use indicators and uses phone while driving *2025-03-03, version 335.17.0* First time customer and I was hoping for a great service as many here suggested. Instead their “professional” driver didn’t use indicators and used phone while driving. Not coming back. ### 1/5 — No text verification *2024-07-27, version 335.10.0* Updated app required text verification. Tried multiple times text never arrived. Thus I cannot install app. ### 1/5 — Overcharge *2024-06-05, version 335.10.0* They always overcharge. The app states one price and they deduct further money after the journey. Not recommended!! ### 1/5 — Awful capcha that doesnt work! *2023-12-14, version 335.10.0* Couldnt even register, as the apps dreadful capcha not only used american terms (for a uk-based app) and didnt even work when i completed it! Tried twice with zero success ### 1/5 — Unprofessional, abysmal service *2023-07-24, version 335.3.1* Pre-booked a cab to take us home in the evening from a village on the outskirts of Reading. Waited around for 20 minutes without any sign of the cab, then tried to call – no answer. Eventually someone did bother to answer, but when I asked where they were they told me they weren’t coming because they didn’t fancy the traffic. This left us stuck in a village, in the dark and in the rain. We booked in advance because we wanted the peace of mind we had a lift arranged and to avoid being stuck in the remote countryside. Not only is it appalling that a taxi company would just choose to abandon a customer, to do so (a) WITHOUT any contact and (b) using TRAFFIC(?) as an excuse (which was a lie – the roads were fine) and (c) when said customer booked well in advance, is completely unacceptable. It’s obviously not a service we could ever rely on, or feel comfortable booking again – imagine if we wanted an airport drop-off to meet flights, or to an event with a start time, or to/from hospital? That they might just decide they didn’t fancy making the trip, and just cancel a booking without word – we just wouldn’t have any confidence in them. If traffic was a problem (it wasn’t) then its up to them, as a transport service, to plan for and work around it. If they don’t have the cars, booked appointments come first. And finally, if circumstances make it difficult to arrive on time, you don’t just go “oh well, forget it” and abandon the customer – you make an alternative plan to ensure they aren’t left stuck in the middle of nowhere late at night. Absolutely criminal behaviour; my advice – don’t give these crooks your custom. There are plenty of alternative services to use that you CAN have confidence in. Capital Cars will just dump you if they don’t fancy the trip when it comes to it. They ruined our evening and left us in a dangerous situation a long way from home with no other means of transport, because we thought they had us covered. My daughter and I were very tired and the lovely driver picked us up with no fuss and just let us sit in silence as he could tell we were tired. This is about the fourth time we have used Capital Cars. ### 5/5 — First Class Service! *2023-04-06, version 335.2.1* I recently used capital cars services and accidentally I have left my sons scooter in the boot. The journey has been amazing and the driver was very kind and professional. We have rang the company the next day and ask about the scooter and the driver kindly dropped of the scooter the next day. I apologise that I don’t remember the drivers name but I want to say that he is a great asset to the company. I can highly recommend Capital Cars to anyone and I can guarantee that we will use your company again! Best regards!!!!!!
