## What is Capitec Merchant?

As a Capitec merchant, you can accept customer payments with our new merchant app anywhere anytime.

It’s the best way to transact – secure, easy to use and available on most smartphones. 

Once you have successfully applied as a Capitec merchant, simply download and install the app and you are ready to transact.

Use it for card machine payments. 
 • See your payment history
 • Share payment receipts 
 • View your sales data

- Previously, the Merchant App always searched for card reader devices using a 20 seconds timeframe. This behavior was improved so that the user can immediately choose a card reader as soon as it was detected, which usually is around after 5 seconds.
- Added biometric / fingerprint authentication to the Merchant App on supported devices. 
- Users now have the ability to choose a user login email when performing a transaction history on the Merchant App.
