Definitely having to grind it out, but also keeping up with leveling up, I also feel like the game is more surrounded in the arena and not the story. There is a lot of pvp areas and that’s alright. Im assuming thats how they wanted the game, the characters are great but also i feel unfair to achieve unlike others because some characters are op than others and when in arena especially ranked I feel the fighting can get a bit unfair. Superb character designs and the gameplay is simple and fun. The gacha is terrible. You will have the option to choose hero itself or the main S rank hero shards when you hit the guarantee step(10 pulls). I suggest the shards option. If you’re not a whale then just stick with the A and B units because S rank is purely p2w. You can normal combo juggle your opponent in corner infinitely in pvp. They need to fix that. Either after the 2nd or 3rd combo then you break free or your substitute meter should build up as you’re getting damage so you can vanish. This game can be f2p so give it a try. It’s not a bad game. However, i paid about $50 in-app purchases and never received what I paid for. I even went to the discord chat to ask for my goods and or a refund. No one helped me. I showed pics of my purchases and even went to Apple Store to request a refund and nothing. Now I’m disputing my charges with the bank so I can get my money back. Horrible customer service. Everyone wants to take our money, but it’s a problem when we want it back for lack of customer service. ### 1/5 — Foremost the pvp is trash *2023-06-14* Just like the toxic and childish shills that made this atrocity. What they DONT tell you is how unhinged the psuedo “PVP” mode is. Being told i had to “ cancel out of a greater than 5 second queue just to face real people iver bots us both pathetic for the games quality and community. They charge and entire TWO months if you want a likewise battle pass. To all the players in that discord…you can hold up the small manhood of every beta who flaunts a bot heavy ranked system, but im not even sticking around to see the eventual death if an already weak community. ### 1/5 — Could’ve been good *2023-06-03* Fun gameplay but it’s an expensive p2w. They give you outrageous deals like 200 dollars to unlock one S tier hero. Or 50 dollars for an A tier hero. It’s such a greedy gacha. if you tried to unlock an S tier hero normal it requires 100 shards and you only have the possibility of getting one shard per box. Speaking of possibilities they don’t even provide chance rates. I really hope they turn this around because it could be a good game. ### 1/5 — Character collecting/rating system is Trash! *2023-05-31* It is all but impossible to get any of the “S” characters without spending $100 LITERALLY! Such a shame too because this game is actually amazing! Needing 100 pieces for a character when the gatcha only gives 1 at a time is quite honest the best way to kill you’re brand new game! These developers are SOOOO DISCONNECTED from reality anymore nowadays! Every new mobile game will die in the first year, so sad…. ### 1/5 — iPhone kept crashing🤦🏾‍♂️👎🏾 *2023-05-29, version 1.3.5* Right after it finally downloaded🤦🏾‍♂️, the game kept making my whole phone crash. I couldn’t unlock my phone couldn’t swipe up to close the app or nothing. I’ll be on FB or IG & my phone would go black with a loading sign then it would come back to my Lock Screen then I would go to unlock it, it would repeat the same process of going black, loading then back to Lock Screen. The game was kool for the 4min I had a chance to actually play the dam game.🤦🏾‍♂️ fix the glitch & give me a few characters from the start & I’ll come back to change the rating to at least a 4⭐️ Like I said the game was kool but not worth the trouble. This game is running an “event” where they reward players who submit a screenshot of them posting a 5 star review. I downloaded this game on the first day and there are a LOT of red flags. I am an avid gacha gamer and there are a lot of scummy practices happening. First and foremost, they do not reveal the gacha rates for pulling high-rank characters. This is not only scummy but illegal in most countries. The gameplay is also repetitive and I lost interest very quickly. If you do download this game, please be careful. As someone who does spend money to support some gacha games, I would caution against doing so for this game. ### 1/5 — 3 words, pay to win *2023-05-24, version 1.3.4* This game I just started playing and I’m heavily seeing the difference between people who spend money and those who don’t, I already see people at level 100 with battle pass and also see people who have spent 60ish dollars on a single character that makes them overpowered, there is a tournament that I’ve been trying my hardest in but I’m instantly seeing time and time again that the characters that are paid for are the ones who win, fix that or award other characters on other people spending, like giving cubes or giving other players something that helps balance out the field, then I may give 5 stars ### 1/5 — The concept is great *2023-05-22, version 1.3.3* The gameplay is super fun and feels great to play. The pvp is great as well, skill based gameplay. The big issue is the gacha aspect. It’s extremely greedy you need an insane amount of shards just to get 1 unit and your pulls more often than not will give you 1 shard and units after acquiring them can go to 6 stars, starting at 1 or 2 stars. It’s sadly another greedy game, which is a shame because it’s extremely fun. ### 1/5 — Pass this game as it appear to be a scam *2023-05-20, version 1.3.3* Realized after I bought the season pass as it goes for 2 month and game came out a few days ago. So they give you a battle pass that’s already close to halfway done. The pass is time consuming to complete as you have to spend all day every day to complete it. Honkai star rail at least gives a battle pass that you can do the dailies in 10 to 15 minutes to reach the end. Kind of dumb for the devs to have a pass that’s hard to complete unless your unemployed and can spend all day pvping to grind exp for pass. Pass has 200 levels. Needs to be shrink to level50 maybe 100 max ( if easier ) and can complete by doing dailies for 15 minutes a day. Kind of a scam with the pass. So I recommend people smash the 1 star button. ### 1/5 — Worst gacha and performance I’ve ever seen *2023-05-20, version 1.3.3* The performance of the game is just awful. Long lag to the point that the game freezes everywhere. The free in game currency is almost null. Only tickets and diamonds at the end of each chapter and amount not enough for a x10 pull. If u value your time and money stay away from this game. This is a heavy cash grab.
