It is listed all the way at the bottom of the app description by an asterisk but I had to search. I understand it is a marketing method to entice you to keep the app, but it really was a waste to create for me personally. ### 3/5 — Must pay to use without info on $ *2026-06-15, version 1.3.1* I love the games where there is motivation to buy your pet something or decorate. Like the apps Finch or Bitepal. However these games have a free version and premium add on features. I chose to use these apps because I got to check them out without premium features and see if this app works for me. When I got this app I immediately had to do a free trail and I could not see how much the actually cost was. Bitepal does the first year premium $2.99 a month while this app charges that a week. It seems like there is also a $5.99 per month option too. ### 4/5 — Guidance with features *2026-05-24, version 1.3.1* I am loving the app, the capybara is adorable. I am having trouble figuring out how to progress to the Amazon fish season even though I have finished with the Atlantic. As well I have not been able to figure out the bing chilling and bonjoir achievements. I contact support and no one responds back. ### 4/5 — Very great app *2026-05-03, version 1.3.0* I am using this app with my young daughter for health reasons.This is the only app I’ve found that appropriately calculates an intake for a person her age. (Others calculate unsustainable/unhealthy levels because they are for adults) the only comments I have is that food logging is a little clunky if you are trying to log something a day later it tends to auto add it to the current day, I wish you could edit the date in the “edit entry” section. I also wish more of the food selections could be broken down into gram servings instead of just whole packaged servings ### 2/5 — Cute but that’s it *2026-03-24, version 1.3.0* The app itself is adorable. I love animals and the ability to decorate the Capybaras home and change outfits however the food database is not vast, it’s impossible to enter calories accurately for certain things. In general it doesn’t have the things that My Fitness Pal has. I have sent multiple messages to customer support regarding the possibility of a partial refund and get no response whatsoever. ### 4/5 — Adorable Calorie Counter *2026-03-10, version 1.3.0* I have already seen progress after a short amount of time using this app. It's so great and really convenient to use! My only wish is that it had better furniture /decor options. It feels like they haven't really given much care or thought to that part of the app, which to me was the selling point. I use the Finch app and it has furniture /clothes for every place you visit and depending on the month. There's a new theme every month and it's super cute! No way to complete a goal. Not possible to even reset a goal or try another one. Only way to continue is to reinstall the app and lose all of your progress (including gems and purchases) or stay frozen. Reached out to support multiple times, but never heard back. I like the tracking. But one of my motivations is being able to purchase things for my Capy. It’s been well over a month and there is nothing in the shop to shop for! Please refill the shop!!!!! Also, when there is a story to read, parts of the story get cut off and I’m unable to scroll to read the full script. I’m on an iPhone. I’d also like to be able to see a progress chart that covers a longer time period. ### 1/5 — Forced to subscribe *2025-10-14, version 1.2.6* I just downloaded the app and when i was filling my information they asked me to review the app (how? i haven’t used it yet to have an opinion) then to actually use the app they made me subscribe. there was no “X” button and no way to not subscribe. this is a very bad dark pattern, if you expect all users to pay then make the app payed, do not make it “free” and then force them to pay after they already downloaded it. I’ve been looking for a weight loss app where I can track my weight, calories, and one that has a meal planner. With CapyDiet it can track your weight, exercise, calories, and plans your weekly meals for you. The meals are very easy to make, are low in calories, and very selective. You can even change them to your preference on there! It also gives you feedback on your daily meals,exercise, and how you can improve it. What makes it even better is that you have a little Capybara companion that you can dress up and play mini games with.
