## What is Capz HQ?

Capz brings your fraternity, sorority, or student organization into one app - group chats, events, and invite lists, without the scattered group texts, lost spreadsheets, and screenshots of someone else's notes app.

GROUP CHATS THAT STAY ORGANIZED
Create separate chats for your whole chapter, your exec board, your new member class, or the house. Send messages and photos, see when someone is typing, and edit a message you already sent. Admins choose which roles can see and post in each chat, so announcements stay announcements and the group chat stays the group chat.

POLLS WITH REAL ANSWERS
Ask a question and get a real answer. Vote counts update live as people respond, and you can open the results to see exactly who picked each option - no more counting reactions or scrolling back through fifty replies. Whoever created the poll can edit it, and admins can clean one up if it goes sideways.

EVENTS AND INVITES
Create an event with a cover photo, date, time, and location, then choose who gets it: your whole chapter, a specific role, a saved invite list, or another organization entirely. Members RSVP in a tap, and you can see who is coming before the night starts. Past events stay available so you can look back at what you ran, and you can set an event to disappear from feeds automatically a few hours after it ends.

INVITE LISTS
Build lists for the people you invite regularly, then reuse them instead of rebuilding the same group every time. Share a code that adds someone to a list, and set exactly how many times that code can be redeemed so it stops working once it has gone far enough. Anyone can paste a code straight from the Home screen to join a list - no account juggling, no link that opens a website.

ROLES BUILT FOR CHAPTERS
Admins, members, and new members each see what they should. Admins manage roles, add and remove members, create events and chats, upload your organization logo, generate invite codes, and moderate content in the chats they run. Everything they do is recorded in an activity log, so your chapter can see who changed what.

VERIFIED ORGANIZATIONS
Organizations verify with identity and membership documents before they can invite people outside their own membership. Verification is reviewed by a person, not an algorithm, and the documents are stored privately and never shown to other users - so the group inviting you is the group it says it is.

NOTIFICATIONS YOU CONTROL
Get notified about new messages, event invitations, and event reminders. Every category has its own switch, so you can keep the invites and mute the chatter, or turn the whole thing off from your device settings.

PRIVACY BY DEFAULT
Your username is what other members see. Your real name stays hidden unless you switch it on, and even then only members of your own organizations can see it. Photos sent in a chat are view-only - Capz gives no one a way to download or forward an image someone else sent. Block anyone whose messages you would rather not see, privately and without telling them. Delete your account whenever you want, right from the Account screen.

BUILT TO LOOK RIGHT
Light, dark, or match your phone. Capz defaults to dark.

Capz is invite-only by design. You join an organization with a code from an admin - there is no public directory, no discoverable member lists, and no way for a stranger to find their way into your chapter chats.

Made for chapters that are tired of running everything through a group text.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-22

New in this version

• Media gallery — tap the photo icon in a group chat to see every image shared in that channel.
• See who's in a channel — tap a channel's name to view everyone who can read it.
• Admins: RSVP breakdown — on any event, swipe between Going, Not going and Not answered to see exactly who's responded. Updates live as people reply.
• Links in messages are now tappable.
• Profile photos now appear next to messages, and messages from the same person are grouped together.

Fixes and improvements

• Swipe a message to reply or check its timestamp — now works at any speed, and scrolling a chat no longer fights the swipe.
• Fixed adding a cover photo when creating an event.
• Fixed usernames rejecting capital letters.
• Fixed leftover text staying in the message box after sending.
• Tapping a chat notification now opens that chat reliably, including from a fully closed app.
• Members who join an organization are now invited to its upcoming events.
• Removing someone's access to a channel now hides it from them properly.
