### 4/5 — Anxious

*2026-05-11, version 2.0.34*

Ok guys you make me nervous. Seems after each update I have crashing problems. Sounds like I’m not alone. Can’t rely on backup data if the app won’t stay open long enough to backup. Please help. Is there something I should be doing differently? Is it time to find something more reliable?
Update:
thanks for the effort guys. Just downloaded the newest version (5/7/26) and so far it seems worse. I could open and use the app for a minute but now as soon as I open it it crashes. I have faith that you can get this.
Next update 5/11/26 Thanks guys things seem good now. Thank you for your attention.

### 3/5 — I want to love it but the constant bugs and crashes makes me nervous!!

*2025-09-03, version 2.0.30*

I do love the features of this app, but the constant crashes makes me really nervous to put all of my medical records and information solely on this app. For something this important when it comes to people‘s health, you would think that there are constant updates to fix these bugs. I was at the hospital and couldn’t get the app to stay open w/o crashing so I couldn’t pull up the info needed. Now I am trying to upload medical results (pdf) by uploading it through my iPhone and it crashes every time. Ah! So frustrating!

### 3/5 — Love the app, hate this update- 2.0.28

*2025-08-08, version 2.0.28*

Stopped working on three devices with this update, my fourth device, not updated still works

### 2/5 — Crashes

*2025-06-19, version 2.0.26*

Keeps crashing a lot nowadays. Sometimes I need to relaunch 11 times before app remains open.

### 2/5 — Not worth the increase in price, which was doubled.

*2025-06-17, version 2.0.26*

This app has proven to be quite beneficial, particularly because of its seamless integration with calendar functionalities, which stands as the primary reason for my continued use. Recently, I made the decision to switch over to Tidy Health, a service that offers a competitive annual fee of just $13.99. Notably, this cost covers not only my individual subscription but extends its benefits to my entire family without incurring any extra charges. Unlike my previous application, Tidy Health provides a greater level of detail in tracking health metrics and managing my daily tasks. However, it’s important to note that it lacks direct calendar integration; instead, it compensates by syncing appointments with the reminders feature on my iPhone, ensuring I remain organized. I have relied on Capzule for more than ten years, and the reasoning behind the company's decision to double the subscription price remains perplexing and disappointing!

### 3/5 — Update Did Not Work

*2025-06-12, version 2.0.25*

I like the app but just updated and now the app opens and shuts down. Please help!

### 4/5 — My Medical Records My Way

*2025-06-01, version 2.0.23*

I love this little app for keeping up with my records. I’ve always digitized my own records and have each one of them as .pdf files, photos, etc. And I love that I can organize them in this app by date and find them quickly when I need to refer to them for whatever reason. This app is almost perfect!! Then only thing that annoys me to no end is the fact that I have to use a computer to get my files onto my iPad. I know the instructions say you can add files from “other apps” but every time I try to pull in a document from my iPad “Files” folder, the process crashes every single time! If somebody could figure out how to fix that, it would make life a lot easier. Also, I’m getting used to just dumping my documents into Capzule’s File section but it would really be cool if I could actually store all the files with the actual appointment so I’m not having to look in multiple places to find information about a single incident. For example, today I had a Drs visit, a chest X-ray, and a prescription pickup (because of the X-ray results). It would be nice if I could store all of those together (with the original visit notes) since they relate to a single incident instead of having to figure out why I had to get this particular prescription or what made me have to get a chest X-ray. All of that would have been explained in the initial doctor’s visit notes, eliminating the need for all the extra record research. But other than that, this app is just what I need to stay on top of keeping good track of my own medical information (rather than always depending on my practitioners to do it for me)

### 4/5 — Loved This App For Years!!

*2025-04-02, version 2.0.23*

I love how you are able to customize even the slightest details!! I have been recording my records, weight, BP for years and love it! The easy feature to print off your records in PDF format is awesome, just like the one tap option to email records. The calendar integrates with iCloud Calendar, so events show up on my calendar and reminders.
I backup my info to Dropbox and iCloud, but I wish the ONLY option they did have, which they don’t, is integrating into the Apple Health app. It would be so nice to see years of data integrated with all of my other Health Tracking apps. Regardless, please never leave the App Store!

### 4/5 — Very nice app

*2024-07-26, version 2.0.22*

Love this app - it takes a little while to find where to put data. Also note that entering from the Sharing feature with your computer is so much easier than the phone interface - simply from the screen size and complexity of the data (e.g., entering in blood panel results into the flowsheet section).

Hope they offer a contact link on their website. Little things like Chloride (Cl, not CL) and Sodium (Na, not NA) - sure, it's petty, but tiny fixes for the elemental symbols to a chemist matters :)

Overall, it's a handy app and so much more flexible than Apple's closed-off Health app. Thank you, coders.

### 4/5 — Inputting appointments

*2024-06-27, version 2.0.22*

Great app. Would be a bonus if appt can be retrieved from calendar instead of having to re-input it.

### 4/5 — Please Fix Bugs/Update!

*2023-11-07*

Always used this app for years and have always thought of it as 5/5; however, every time I open the app lately it crashes on me. I have so many years of logged entries in here that I would be devastated to lose anything — backing up or not. It was working fine with iOS 17, but I’m not sure what happened. What good is backing up if the backup only works on the app. I’m so afraid if like app doesn’t do well they will get rid of it in the App Store like they do with every other good app you start using and then get screwed over with.

I wish more than anything it would integrate with the Apple Health app — please let that be a feature and I guarantee you so many more people would be hooked on this app, even though I already have been for ages.

### 4/5 — Stable, use it to print summary report before Dr appointments

*2023-06-25, version 2.0.15*

I’ve use this app for a couple of years, and with no bugs/issues. Data entry is fairly intuitive, and like the summary report with meds and conditions listed in the summary report. Also includes graph showing trends (e.g., A1C).

### 2/5 — No ability to reach Developer

*2023-02-08, version 2.0.15*

Just started using this app. Was very hopeful but disappointed in the basic FAQ and lack of support. No way to email developer or anyone in support. Online stuff is basic. App freezes and crashes, can’t edit an existing doctor, user interface isn’t logical. Could be great. Bummed.

### 4/5 — All in all, good

*2022-10-26, version 2.0.12*

All in all, this is a great app in which to keep all my medical records. Yhe bad news id thst I ised to have EGD photos so I could compare on a triennial basis, but those pictures are no longer available. What happened to them???

### 1/5 — App no longer useable, support gone

*2021-09-26, version 2.0.10*

I used this app in its earlier incarnation, but after it ceased being supported, I moved on, so I was very happy to see it back when I rediscovered it a couple of months ago. I got it downloaded, and found I was unable to recover an old backup — but given the age of the backup, I couldn’t complain. However, in the last week, the app started crashing on startup, and I have not been able to get it working. I tried going to the posted support page only to discover the capzule.com domain is no longer responsive. Once again, it looks like they are just gone without warning. I’d have given this review zero stars if I could have.

### 1/5 — Crashes on import of CVS file

*2021-09-24, version 2.0.10*

The app crashes trying to import a cvs file created by My Medical app.

### 1/5 — Previous version was great

*2021-09-21, version 2.0.10*

Read the reviews carefully. The early version was great. I told all my relatives to use the app. The current version 2.0.10 is a major disappointment. Functions that used to work do not work now. In version 1.x I entered data on my linked Windows PC to update Capzule on my iPhone. The current version links but I cannot transfer data to my iPhone. I have tried for 5 hours too transfer data from one iPhone to another iPhone. The instructions for Share Data do not match the screens of Version 2.0.10. I could not get Merge/Copy between the iPhones to work. I thought that I could backup to Google drive and then Restore. Google warns that “Google hasn’t verified this app. Until the developer verifies this app with Google you shouldn’t use it.” Summary: it is now difficult to enter data, you must renter the same data into each device, the instructions do not help, and you cannot contact the developer. The original design was good. Unfortunately, the developer has not been able to continue developing this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-05-08, version 2.0.33*

I have updated my initial review. Told me to update to latest version. Checked and updated and Still crashes. I’ve had this app for over 6 years and now the last 6 months it crashes when I open it. Now all my info is useless.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2026-02-26, version 2.0.30*

The app is crashing when I open it, there is no way to contact app support on the website and there isn’t a way to export info if this app doesn’t get fixed. I’ve loved this app and would continue to use if it gets fixed.

### 1/5 — New update

*2025-08-08, version 2.0.28*

Once again even within update it crashes immediately upon opening. I dont understand why they don’t fix it

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-08-07, version 2.0.27*

Crashes on start, every time.

### 1/5 — I want to love it

*2025-06-10, version 2.0.24*

I will change my review once it’s fixed. I absolutely love the app and it does everything I want it to, except the app crashes all the time and won’t let me back in. I’m afraid to put all my info in with the fear of not being able to access all my saved info.

### 1/5 — Worst update

*2025-06-03, version 2.0.24*

Last update and app crashes at startup.

### 1/5 — Way overpriced

*2025-02-22, version 2.0.23*

The app description says it’s $12 a year. Pretty reasonable.
But when you download it it’s actually $50 a year!!! For a pretty basic app. Waaaaay overpriced. Lost a customer here.

### 1/5 — keeps crashing

*2024-03-03, version 2.0.21*

paid subscription but keeps on crashing

### 1/5 — Orphaned App

*2023-09-17, version 2.0.15*

I think this must be an orphaned app. It used to work fine but now you cannot merge data between your phone and iPad. Worthless for me if that doesn’t work.
*Update* They were both on the same wi-fi network and they did find each other and loose each other over and over again. When I did get them to connect to each other, I click “Start” but always get the Timeout error “No permission to merge within the allowed time”.
I tried over and over again and finally gave up in frustration.
Frankly, I don’t know why this app can’t keep all the data on all devices on the same account up to date automatically like most of my other apps I have on more than one device.

### 1/5 — Share between two iOS devices

*2023-02-03, version 2.0.12*

Tried to follow your help instruction several times it does not work! Please check.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2025-01-15, version 2.0.23*

Great App!
Support staff are super efficient and friendly

### 5/5 — My go to app for our medical info.

*2024-09-04*

I have used this app for several years now. It is by far better than any other app I have tried. I am able to create appointments, and then see those appointments in my calendar and be reminded with an alarm. The app has all of our test results and any notes and attachments I need. Our family and medical history are all saved in the app. Allergy & prescription information is at my fingertips. The free version requires you to watch a short ad occasionally, but it isn’t bothersome. You can pay to remove ads. I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Super app

*2021-12-30, version 2.0.10*

I have used this app for a few years now and I have all of our family’s medical history in one spot. The are amazed how much information I readily have on hand. This is the best personal health record I found to date. Not thrilled with the ads popping up now and don’t plan on paying a recurring fee to get rid of them. I guess it is just business. I can live with them. Again, best app to record and track your family’s medical history. Would highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Personal EHR Application

*2021-06-24, version 2.0.10*

This is a fantastic app. I have used it for years and because of this application I can provide accurate historical information to my providers as it contains details I may forget to share. Despite the prevalence of provider portals, I aggregate my own data here.

I appreciate that the data is stored in the device and not on a server somewhere.

Thank you Capzule team!

### 5/5 — Extremely impressed

*2021-06-15, version 2.0.10*

My expectations come from being a My Medical app user for years. I’ll freely admit that I was reluctant to switch to a different PHR app. I mean, who wants to waste time revisiting all your old medical records? The fact that the old app had effectively been abandoned by its developers left me with no choice.

I researched a handful of potential replacements but most of them were just variations of the Apple Health app. I found and downloaded a couple of likely replacements and took them for a test drive. It didn’t take long to figure out which was the superior product.

Capzule quite impressively fills a gap that Apple Health doesn’t address. Editable (and updatable) lists of medications, family history, and most importantly: info from doctors not in Apple’s database.

The UI is a dream. So much easier to navigate than the albatross I was used to using. Although I enjoyed Capzule’s ease of use, I initially attributed that to the evolution of the current app standards. After living with it for a few days, I only appreciate it more.

There were a couple of minor issues figuring out what info should be posted where but after spending a few minutes in the app I’ve decided that their system is logical and intuitive. I was probably just stuck in an old mindset. That being said, I’m not going to further mention what my specific classification issues were.

I also want to take a minute and address their in-app ads; They have a bunch of them. Save yourself the bother and just buy the ad free subscription right up front. While we are on the topic, I am very happy to pay the subscription. It just means that the Capzule developers have an incentive to hang around and keep their app updated.

### 5/5 — Comment vous joindre...

*2020-10-05, version 2.0.8*

J'ai téléchargé la version 2.0, j'ai une question et je ne trouva pas comment vous joindre...

### 5/5 — Confusing status of application

*2020-06-11, version 2.0.7*

Great application but am finding references that developer is no longer supporting it. Last reviews are 2 years old. Last application update appears to 6 months ago. Application developer’s web page offers no communication options. Developer’s web page time stamp is 2020. I wanted to contact them about the availability of a version usable on my desktop, but I find references from other sources that support has been discontinued. This application is still fully functional and I’ve been using it for years, and appears superior to other apps available.

### 5/5 — I love it

*2020-05-02, version 2.0.7*

Is you want to keep all your health information in the same, use this app. You can where with your doctors before each appointment.

### 5/5 — Great App for integration

*2020-04-27, version 2.0.7*

I have been taking care of my aging parents and use this app as my main PMR for them. It does not depend upon a external service or vendor. Historical Online PMRs have shut down, the other options do not integrate well with other software. For example the ability to link to Google drive where I store medical images and downloaded clinical data from my parents Physician office/Hospital portals.
Being able to use the Http link from ones PC to add data into this App is a great feature and works well.
Thanks developer people!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2019-02-08, version 2.0.5*

I was looking for something to replace My Medical app which does not seem to be supported anymore. Great place to keep my family’s medical info.
