## What is Car Identifier?

Car Identifier reads one photo of a car and returns the make and model, the generation, a year range and an estimated used-market value band for that model.

WHAT ONE PHOTO GIVES YOU
• An estimated used-market value band in US dollars, at the top of the result
• The manufacturer and the model nameplate, as specifically as the photo allows
• The generation, and the pre or post facelift window when the lights settle it
• A year range rather than a fake-precise single model year
• The likely engine and driven wheels, hedged the way one exterior angle justifies
• What the visible details suggest about trim, as inference and not as a finding
• The cues the identification rests on, and the siblings it could not rule out
• Ownership notes widely reported for that generation, including weak points

THE VALUE RANGE LEADS THE RESULT
The question comes up in front of the car or a listing photo, so the estimate sits in its own card under the name. It is always a band, never a single figure, and it can honestly come back as Varies widely. Mileage, condition, service history, accident record, title status and the options fitted all move the real number, and none of them are visible in a photograph.

IT WIDENS THE RANGE INSTEAD OF INVENTING A YEAR
Generations run for years and a facelift splits them, so a single model year appears only when the image pins it. Platform siblings and rebadges share a face on purpose, so when two candidates cannot be separated the app names the likely one and lists the alternative instead of overcommitting. A wrapped, debadged, damaged or night-shot car lowers confidence, and aftermarket wheels are never read as a trim level.

WHAT IT READS ON THE CAR
Any exterior angle works, and so does an interior shot. The badge comes first, then the light signature, which usually dates a car more tightly than the body does, then the grille, roofline and wheels.

ASK ABOUT THE CAR YOU JUST IDENTIFIED
Premium adds Ask AI, a conversation scoped to cars. How to read a badge or a lamp signature, what separates two siblings, and what to check before you buy.

YOUR GARAGE, KEPT
Every identification is saved on your device with its photograph in the Garage, so an afternoon of listings reads back later. No account needed.

WHO IT IS FOR
• Used-car buyers standing in front of a car or a listing
• Spotters who want the generation and not just the badge
• Sellers wanting a sanity check before they set an asking price
• Parents answering the question coming from the back seat

HONEST ABOUT WHAT A PHOTO CAN DO
This app is an AI reading of the photo you take. Any value it shows is a rough market range, not an appraisal, an inspection, or an offer. Trim, engine and facelift often cannot be settled from one exterior angle, so the app gives ranges instead of false certainty. Notes about common problems describe how a generation is generally reported, not the condition of your car. Before you buy or sell, get a pre-purchase inspection and a vehicle history report.

The app does not read number plates, does not identify people in your photos, and does not look up owners, registrations, or vehicle history.

This is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer. Manufacturer and model names belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the app identified.

Identifying a car needs an internet connection. Results you have already saved stay on your device and can be reopened at any time.

The app interface and the results are available in 33 languages.
