It’s really hard to put it on the right card! So w/e. ### 3/5 — Good fun, needs some fixes. *2024-01-14* I love Caravan, always have - probably always will. Most of my friends don’t know how to play it so having this app has been a godsend to help explain how the game is played, additionally gives me something to kill time. Removing ads was a one time purchase and was super cheap as well, so I’m quite grateful for that. Even if I hadn’t removed the ads, they weren’t too intrusive. I have two issues with this app that knock it down from a 5 for me. 1. The multiplayer is broken, it’s been broken since I’ve downloaded the app and I have no idea if this will ever be fixed. I’d very much like to play it with my friends over the phone but not sure I’ll ever be able to. 2. Screenlock occurs once you’ve opened the app. It locks into a horizontal view but also blocks your ability to swipe up to exit the app, so the only way to exit (that I’ve found so far) is to swipe down and -hope- that you have a random push notification to click to pull you out of the app. Otherwise you need to restart your phone per use. Assuming these issues aren’t just user error on my part, they’re pretty critical to the normal enjoyment of this app. But it’s worth noting this is the only (and a pretty decent version) Caravan app that I could find. If Caravan is your game; I’d still suggest trying it out. ### 4/5 — Exactly as read in the guide book! *2023-10-22* I felt like playing some Caravan and I was wondering what would show up if I had looked for Caravan on the app store, then this showed up, which was a big surprise for me. So naturally I downloaded and played the game, which didn’t disappoint, because it plays exactly like it’s instructed in the guide book! Well almost, Joker doesn’t discard all the suits of an ace card like it’s supposed to. It does reflect that originally you weren’t supposed to be able to discard cards in the beginning, which doesn’t show in Fallout: New Vegas when you’re able to discard as many cards as you like instead of shuffling because of possible glitches, but it does show in this game as it instead shuffles when you have no numerical cards. I wish it wouldn’t randomly crash as much on hard difficulty, but overall it’s a lot of fun! ### 3/5 — 3/5 Production of great card game *2023-03-05, version 2.1* Victory conditions not properly implemented and boots player to home screen on loss/win. Card functions do not operate as per game rules; caravans inconsistently permit players to use off-suit cards w/o first applying Queen, Jokers played on Aces function as Jack instead, etc. Background tileset, SFX and music all above par. Great game for those seeking to play Caravan away from New Vegas game on console/PC and practice deck building strategies. ### 4/5 — Been working for ten years *2022-12-19, version 2.1* Crazy how long this app has been working we need multiplayer back though :( ### 2/5 — Does not follow original rules *2022-08-31* The app itself is clunky, does not have an aesthetically pleasing interface, and crashes with every complete game. The most frustrating part however is that the rules of caravan in FoNV are not followed in regards to the jokers. The joker played on a non face card is supposed to eliminate every non face card of the same numeric value except the one it’s played on. This game eliminates all of them even the one it’s played on. Also noticed that when two queens are played on one card it only reverses order once, or it at least keeps the same suit as the original card the queens are played on. There's a screenshot of Goodsprings in the background and New Vegas style music playing. But that's where the similarities end. The rules of this game DO NOT match caravan. Jokers take all of a number including the one played on, and they don't work to take all of that suit when played on an ace. The placement system is twitchy and will often place cards in the wrong location. I’ve enjoyed the game thoroughly, and have played it with others, who have enjoyed it too. Even figured out I’ve been playing it wrong with scoring wins! (It’s supposed to be 2 sold caravans, not all 3!)
