## What is Caravanserai?

You are a merchant on the Silk Road. Your route stretches from Chang'an to Constantinople — through desert crossings, mountain passes, bandit territory, and storied caravanserais. Every step is a gamble.

THROW THE DICE
Tilt your device to throw. Watch your dice tumble across bazaar cloth, stone floors, and desert sand. Each throw resolves whatever the road puts in front of you — a tax checkpoint, a rival merchant, a mysterious stranger with an offer you can't quite trust.

BUILD YOUR CARAVAN
Hire guards and companions. Stock goods and buy upgrades. Manage your gold, your health, and your inventory across a run that never plays the same way twice.

CHOOSE YOUR MERCHANT
Five archetypes — Silk Trader, Spice Merchant, Arms Dealer, Scholar, Nomad — each with different starting resources and a unique ability that can turn the run. Unlock more as you travel.

MASTER THE ROAD
Short runs for a quick crossing. Long runs for the full Silk Road experience. Difficulty modifiers for merchants who want the road honest and brutal. Silk Road Marks carry over between runs, unlocking new routes, archetypes, and caravan options.

THE ROAD REMEMBERS
Every run leaves its mark. Every thrown die carries the weight of the ancient trade routes. The caravanserai waits at the end of the day's march.
