### 5/5 — Saving money

*2021-01-19, version 4.0.1*

Love this app. Have my KBB, Manheim and Carfax all in one place and is the fastest and most accurate out there. Also love the new indie auctions support. Had a question the other day, and they answered the phone immediately and were super helpful.

### 5/5 — Best auto app - trim selection and options better than others

*2021-01-18, version 4.0.1*

Auto trim selection and vehicle options is huuuge! 95% of the cars I scan don’t require me to do anything, just mileage and go. Better prices than other apps. I wish I would have signed up years ago.

### 5/5 — BEST VIN SCANNER YET

*2020-08-18, version 3.3.2*

Awesome app scans the barcode and text!
Affordable price easy to use and you can change the order of your providers!

GET CARBLY ASAP!

### 5/5 — So easy to use

*2019-07-02, version 2.3*

Great app. I haven’t had to type a VIN since I started using it. I just point my phone at my computer screen and it finds a VIN number, looks up vehicle details and shows all of the market pricing and vehicle history. If you’re a car dealer, I definitely recommend signing up for this service immediatly.

### 5/5 — The best option for car dealers

*2019-05-29, version 2.2*

Found this searching for autoniq so did the free trial. I’m glad I did. This is like the modern version of autoniq but better in every way. Easier to use, has better market data, has VIN text recognition and is cheaper. No brainer.

### 5/5 — Text recognition is great!

*2019-05-27, version 2.2*

Saw that they have text recognition for VIN numbers but wasn’t sure how well it would work. Whoa, was I surprised! I pointed the camera at a contract I had on my desk and it immediately found the VIN and pulled up full details of the vehicle. To an old guy like me, that is just magic! Amazing app.

### 5/5 — So easy to use

*2019-05-08, version 2.2*

The big numbers at the top of the screen are great. Took me a while to trust it (old habits die hard), but after running about 50 VINs I trust it without question now. Great app and way less expensive than others.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Dealer

*2026-06-09, version 6.7.1*

I had a terrible experience with Carbly. The service feels completely money-hungry, with high costs that don’t match the value provided. For what dealers actually get, the pricing is excessive and honestly feels like a robbery. I wouldn’t recommend it to other small dealerships looking for fair, transparent solutions.

### 1/5 — Frozen app

*2025-08-13, version 6.5.2*

In the last 2 weeks the app for me froze several times . I called into customer support and they were zero help . Autoniq for me I guess .

### 1/5 — Can’t use more than 1 device

*2024-10-08, version 6.3.0*

You can only log in from 1 device. If you login from more than one device they suspend your account. I use my phone when at the auction, my laptop at home and desktop at the carlot.

### 1/5 — The owner it’s such a unfair person

*2024-09-30, version 6.3.0*

He accused me of stealing. I am simply using different device to login and he literally insulted me by accusing me of stealing and he canceled my membership without my permission. I would like to critique this website. There’s so many times in Auction. I saw the MMR. it’s totally different than auto or laser appraisal or even mmr.com on the CR bottom line is not accurate. I end up buying several car over price because of them given wrong information I like the chrome extension but that’s about it. They don’t have all the Auction listed and there is a delay information relaying to them versus Awic and laser. Appraisal gets a right away so I’m gonna go ahead and switch it, cancel me, unfairly one suggestion for the owner do not ever accuse your customer of stealing, you should know better than that. How dare you say something like that to your customer you made a lot of money with me did you not know to talk?

### 1/5 — Rude people to work with

*2024-02-07, version 6.1.0*

Horrible customer service. They are so rude and disrespectful

### 1/5 — Worst booking app

*2022-10-15, version 5.2.0*

This is the worst booking app I have used its definitely not a Autoniq killer this app is pathetic with poor layout and very slow operation not mention they have no customer support went through the free trail to give it a shot and now I cant get a hold any one cancel my subscription what a joke buyer beware

### 1/5 — Broken

*2018-07-02, version 1.0*

Would help if you could sign up

### 5/5 — The best vin scanner

*2022-08-14, version 5.1.0*

I’ve used the other ones and this is the best. Love the integration with edge pipeline. Keep up the good work

### 5/5 — Look no further

*2022-04-18, version 4.7.0*

Saw a bunch of people using this app in the lanes a few weeks ago. Unbelievable. I practically run all of my vehicle sourcing through this now. Best price, easiest to use, and I can actually talk to a person who knows what they're doing on the phone if I have questions. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

### 5/5 — The Best!!

*2021-10-09, version 4.4*

The best vin scanner I have used. It actually works and loads all your info quickly. If your a dealer you need this app.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Autoniq killer

*2021-05-23, version 4.1.4*

I used Autoniq for years before I tried Carbly. I had them both for a few months to compare, and it’s not even close. Autoniq’s interface is slow, confusing and just plain ugly. Carbly has more features, costs less and is way, way easier to use. I do auction research ahead of time and have all of my watchlist vehicles ready to go at the auction. Importantly, the pricing is more accurate and the books load faster. I obviously cancelled my autoniq account, and have only been using Carbly for over a year now. Couldn’t live without it.

Oh, if you have a question or want a new feature, just call them. Seriously. Whenever I’d call autoniq, I was speaking to just some support person. The Carbly guy I talked to knows the industry and even gave some valuable advice on a car I didn’t know much about (early 2000s BMW)

### 5/5 — Great valuation tool!

*2021-02-13, version 4.0.1*

Great tool to pull in all of the values, market info, and evaluate a vehicle quickly.

### 5/5 — Best Option for Dealers

*2021-01-28, version 4.0.1*

After the autoniq update, which I can’t stand and from reviews other people can’t either I started looking around. Wow, where has this app been? Fast, reliable and way easier to use. No regrets at all.

### 5/5 — Long time user

*2021-01-27, version 4.0.1*

Been using Carbly for over a year now, far and away the best.

### 5/5 — Best option for dealers

*2021-01-24, version 4.0.1*

Very slick app. Speedy appraisals with the data I need. Very good auction support and the VIN scanner even recognizes my awful handwriting.

### 5/5 — Use for auctions and trades

*2021-01-21, version 4.0.1*

I’m a small dealer and I’ve always struggled to justify the cost of VIN scanners in the past so I just used whatever was free but that didn’t really give me the right data. This is exactly what I needed. I’ve noticed lots of other guys in the lanes are on Carbly too. If you can afford CARFAX you can even link that without paying more.

### 5/5 — Use it in the lanes

*2021-01-20, version 4.0.1*

Saw a bunch of guys using this in the lanes last week and asked one what it was. He gave me a quick demo, and I thought it would be crazy expensive. Nope, not that costly, and all of the pricing books I need to set ceiling prices. I'm hooked, and already added another user for my co-partner..
