## What is Carbon · Car Collection?

Your cars deserve better than a photo album.

Carbon is the iPhone app for people who love cars. It brings together, in one garage, the cars you own and the ones you dream of. Type the name of a car: Carbon fills in its spec sheet. All that’s left is to add your photos and your memories. For the ones you own, Carbon also keeps track of their due dates and their documents.

You don’t need a collection: one car that matters, ten, or only dreams, there is room for all of them. And since your iPhone goes everywhere with you, so does your garage, ready to show when a friend asks what you drive.

YOUR GARAGE
- All your cars at a glance, each with its photo
- Your figures up top: how many cars, how many marques, and the total of your purchase prices
- Your dream garage alongside, until the day you tap “I Bought It”
- Favourites, filters by origin and era, instant search

THE SPEC SHEET, ALREADY FILLED IN
- More than 9,000 verified spec sheets, 244 marques, from 1914 to today
- Power, torque, 0-62 mph, top speed, engine and gearbox
- You add what makes yours unique: colour, mileage, purchase price, and as many photos as you like
- A car missing from the catalogue can be added by hand: the marque, model and year are enough

DUE DATES, DOCUMENTS AND LOGBOOK
- Insurance, inspection, service, oil change, timing belt: Carbon works out the next date and sends you a reminder when you choose
- A timeline shows the next twelve months, and a due date marked as done goes into the logbook
- Registration, insurance certificate, invoices: scan them with the camera or import a PDF, and they stay filed with the car
- A logbook for each car: its history, then your drives, maintenance and memories, dated and with photos, year after year

STORIES, CARBON’S MAGAZINE
- 395 cars told as in a magazine, six minutes’ reading each
- How they were born, why they marked their era, the films they starred in, the rivals they faced

SPEC BATTLE
- Two cars head to head, eight criteria, and every criterion won is worth a point
- The duel can be shared as a single image, composed like a poster

MY CARD
- Your garage summed up in one image, ready to send to friends and family
- Your prices stay hidden if you wish

A GARAGE THAT GROWS WITH YOU
- Combined power, marques, countries, eras: your garage reads like a dashboard
- 81 distinctions to earn, from bronze for the easiest to platinum for the rarest

YOUR COLLECTION STAYS IN YOUR HANDS
- No account to create, no ads, no tracking
- Everything stays on your iPhone, documents and reminders included
- One gesture hides your prices when you show your garage, and Face ID can lock the app

FREE UP TO TWO CARS, PREMIUM BEYOND
The free version has no time limit: two cars, real or dreamed, the whole catalogue (more than 9,000 spec sheets), three Spec Battle duels a month and the opening of every Story. Premium unlocks:
- As many cars as you like
- All 395 Stories in full, rivals and anecdotes included
- Unlimited Spec Battle duels
- Export of your collection as a spreadsheet (CSV)

Give your collection the place it deserves.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-11

Carbon now supports every currency.

- Choose yours in Settings › Currency: the full list, with search.
- The price you enter is the price you see, with no conversion. If you had chosen the dollar, the pound or the Swiss franc, your prices now appear exactly as you entered them.
- Mileage is entered in your units: in miles if you use imperial units. If you had already entered it in miles, please check it for each car.
- A new collection starts with your iPhone’s currency and units.
- My Card and Spec Battle cards give the photo more room, and their figures line up.
- Settings › About: rate Carbon on the App Store or share it with a friend.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-10

The cars in your garage now have their own due dates, documents and logbook.

- Due Dates: insurance, inspection, service, oil change, timing belt. Carbon works out the next date, sends you a reminder when you choose, and a timeline shows the next twelve months. A due date marked as done goes into the logbook.
- Documents: registration, insurance certificate, invoices. Scan them with the camera, or import a photo or a PDF. They stay on your iPhone, filed with their car.
- Logbook: drives, maintenance and memories, dated and with a photo if you like, now laid out year by year, with a timeline to move from one year to the next.
- Gallery: as many photos as you like, shown in full and added up to ten at a time.
- Spec Battle: against an electric car, displacement no longer counts, and the spec sheet shows “Electric” instead of “0.0 L”.

Thank you for making Carbon the garage for your cars, and for the ones you dream of.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-04

Carbon now speaks English. With your iPhone set to English, the whole app switches over, including all 395 Stories, written for English-speaking readers.

The Stories have also been enhanced, and this version brings minor improvements and fixes.

Thank you for making Carbon the garage for your cars, and for the ones you dream of.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-29
