No ads even for the free version. And the best part? Pro is $5 and there is no subscription fee. Just 1 time. What’s not to love? Thanks Carbon. ### 4/5 — Near-Perfect Life Counter App *2023-06-13, version 3.0.9* While the default life counter app in the official MTG companion app is actually pretty good, this app steps it up by giving additional customization options and a cleaner interface. So, I definitely recommend giving this app a try and I do believe that the additional $4 to unlock everything is reasonable. However, I have one major issue with this app that prevents me from giving it a full 5 stars. For Commander games, I wish there was a way to keep track of whose commander dealt damage to who. Player 1 might have dealt 2 commander damage to me, but there is no way I can also show that Player 2 dealt 3 commander damage to me as well. While this can be mitigated by having dice, I think having dice defeats the point of having an app like this. For other MTG formats and 2 player Commander games though, this app truly shines. The problem is that the app has been abandoned by the developer (last updated over 4 years ago). As such, it is missing a lot of the stuff that comes standard these days in other apps. Maybe the iPhone Quantum - Alpha Centauri Colonists Edition will have the necessary computational power to be able to store names. I’m just kidding of course. We promise!”. Welp, it’s been awhile- what is the status on getting player names in app!? ### 1/5 — Screen Burn *2023-03-12, version 3.0.9* After using this for one round of commander during a tournament at my LGS it burned the lines into my screen. It lasted about an hour and within that hour I now have faint lines in my screen. ### 1/5 — Where in 2020, why the app won’t rotate??? *2020-11-14, version 3.0.9* Yeah I know that I can set the landscape mode for the game display, but the home screen, the setting screen and even the in game options screen like history and dice roll screen are all lock on portrait mode so that’s really annoying while playing. Did they know that most of the case are built to stand in the landscape mode and not in portrait. ### 1/5 — Feedback *2019-02-04, version 3.0* Hate to write these sort of reviews... When I opened the app I was greeted by some simple animations and some very good menu design, settings worked fine and from the looks of it very worth going pro. But... Once I picked my life total the app crashes. I’ve just downloaded the most recent update and no matter what life total I choose it crashes the application. 20,30,40 and Custom don’t work at all. I’ve done several fresh reinstalls with no changes to the settings or anything but each time it crashed. Tried sending the logs through the support email but even that crashed my phone. I’m willing to accept the fact that perhaps it’s a hardware issue, but I’ve a fairly new phone with the most recent iOS update.
