### 3/5 — Missing a lot of artists

*2026-07-12, version 6.14*

Someone needs to call Monstercat

### 4/5 — Loving the app so far…

*2026-05-19, version 6.8*

Really liking this app especially being a house head 😅

But something I’m finding annoying is that I keep liking tracks and adding them to my playlist but they have all now disappeared which is very frustrating!

Also I love Audio Rehab and have only just seen there is a playlist on here but it will now not let me open it! Seems to be a bug as it’s not letting me open certain playlists and typically it’s the ones I want to listen too 🫠

### 3/5 — Pas encore parfait

*2026-03-24*

### 4/5 — Great but

*2026-03-17, version 6.7*

The app is great for finding new artist labels etc. I just wish it had apple car play functionality. Would give five starts if it did.

### 5/5 — Best of best

*2026-02-19, version 6.1*

Tbh I think this might be the best app on my phone

### 4/5 — Amazing

*2026-02-12*

### 5/5 — FAB

*2026-01-25, version 5.15*

Great tunes

### 5/5 — The best and ONLY free Electronic/Dance oriented streaming app

*2026-01-20, version 5.15*

Carbon is great, even at the free level. But I have no issue paying $2.99/mo for the Pro membership so I can skip ads and get the HD versions of tracks. Carbon reminds me of what DI.fm used to be before they got greedy, started charging everyone $9/mo and got rid of their best music libraries. Carbon doesn’t have quite as many genres to choose from as DI. But it doesn’t matter because Carbon’s music selection is 100x better than DI’s and - revolutionary idea - you can actually choose individual tracks you want to listen to, instead of being forced to listen to random radio selections like on DI. Don’t get the wrong idea, I don’t mean this review to be just a comparison between Carbon and DI. They both have their pros and cons. It’s just for me, Carbon has A LOT more pros than cons, and it’s very much the opposite with DI. Plus you can actually support individual artists directly with Carbon, which I thought was a really nice feature to include in the app.

### 5/5 — Get pumppppped

*2026-01-18, version 5.15*

Awesomeeeee

### 5/5 — Review by veteran DJ

*2026-01-12, version 5.14*

I have DJ’d many types of venues and events and glad to see new talent through this app. Old school days were going to certain record stores before hits became mainstream and having the latest music was key to success of a dj. Thanks for your efforts with this app.

### 5/5 — A very unique take on dance music app

*2026-01-03, version 5.14*

Just download it, you won't regret it. It does so many things right! Love everything about it. Export function is a pure win.

### 5/5 — Heeyyyy bin voilà !!!!!

*2025-12-31*

### 2/5 — Almost brilliant!

*2025-12-24, version 5.14*

I’d give the APP itself a solid 9 - 9.5 for design and ease of use. However, I do have a couple of issues…

1) the music offered up based on genre selection is wildly all over the place at best. I don’t mean there’s subtle argument/opinion as to whether a specific track is one genre or another. I mean it’s laughable how things get categorised (TBF, this could be the artists not the app)!

2) and I suspect maybe because of number 1… to use an old saying “you must kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince”! but for my taste the ratio of dislike to like is I guess 20 to 1 or something like that! Of course this down to ones’ subjective taste, but if ones taste isn’t catered for! Something Spotify does very well with their “radio” option or suggested tracks.

I really want(ed) to like this “tinder for music” app, but with these 2 things combined, the effort to reward ratio is far too low.

So great concept but for me it’s only good for a short term play out of curiosity. I can’t see it staying on my phone more than a few days!

### 5/5 — Un pure kiff

*2025-12-19*

Un pure kiff

### 5/5 — Version française

*2025-12-13*

Bonjour

### 5/5 — 🫶🏼

*2025-12-03, version 5.10*

Mortel ! C’est l’app qui me manquait ! 😍

### 5/5 — The only dance app you need

*2025-12-03, version 5.10*

A friend told me about this app and it’s fantastic with something for everyone and every mood chilling or ready to dance

### 5/5 — Great concept but needs fixes

*2025-11-28, version 5.8*

Navigation from popup menu on player screen is broken. Otherwise awesome app, been waiting for something like this.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — L’app ne marche pas

*2025-12-18*

### 1/5 — Overated

*2025-10-31, version 4.19*

No Drum and bass

### 1/5 — I want to love it

*2025-09-25, version 4.12*

I want to love it but I can’t use it. You open it plays right away, no controls to pause the music, I freak out, tap on all the wrong things and quit the app. Every, single, time!

### 1/5 — Weird idea of "underground"

*2025-07-13, version 3.31*

There have been many versions of apps like this over the years. Just B-tier mainstream "underground" dance music curated into a Spotify-like app.

The real underground is still on Bandcamp and Soundcloud, and you'll need to start with the real underground and empowering artists if you want to create a long-term success.

SoundCloud started as *the* web2.0 app to upload your music to the internet, before that was a thing (you needed to host your own website otherwise)

Bandcamp launched as a place to upload and sell your own records. It was first-to-market.

How can you provide real value to artists today? Start with that question and laser-focus on it.

### 1/5 — Not great

*2025-06-05, version 3.20*

Meh and also there’s no way to cancel the subscription without emailing them.

### 1/5 — Not broad enough

*2025-01-18, version 2.58*

No indie dance or disco genres. No post-punk, electroclash etc. It’s fine if you want to find the same songs in the same genres as everybody else, but quite useless for the more eclectic types

### 1/5 — Fake / Scam App!

*2025-01-03, version 2.56*

It will play a few songs, but almost all the buttons in the UI are fake and don’t do anything.
This app is subscription farming.

### 1/5 — Sadly…A façade

*2024-12-10, version 2.53*

I hope the person that made this application knows, that you are moving the underground scene so backwards with this… I first hear of this app I was all for it.. in hopes it was a new stream service where artist can upload their music, specifically to an underground crowd… I said wow at first.. but then I really said wow out of shock… I’m an artist and label owner and I know a few talents listed on your app whom I spoken to about this.. they told me they and their labels had no idea about this stuff… this person could be just buying the tracks, made a fancy app to make a big playlist on it, and figured out they can charge people monthly for it… it’s all in the scheme of money… I hope this application changes for the better of itself before it gets flagged by the underground scene very quick..

### 1/5 — Selection and app needs work

*2024-11-14, version 2.50*

App doesn’t learn about you, doesn’t sync with playlist providers or Discogs eg
It’s all Trance
Tech House - Trance
House - Trance
Melodic House - chill Trance
Trance - Harder Trance
You get the picture

### 1/5 — Too many things to consent to

*2024-10-15, version 2.40*

Deleted.

### 5/5 — Current default app for consistent tunes. 100’s of free hours with no ads

*2026-06-10, version 6.10*
