### 5/5 — Carbon Voice is my go to every day tool for voice notes and more.

*2024-10-24*

Note: This Review was dictated in Carbon Voice with some slight editing.

Carbon Voice is one of the first tools I open every single day. It’s become an essential part of my daily routine, helping me stay organized, productive, and creative. I use it to chat with people, brainstorm ideas, manage my to-do lists, and even create content for LinkedIn and X.

I’m currently experimenting with it for writing a book, and it’s been a game changer. It is a voice notes app but so much more—it’s the start and end of many of my workflows.

Simply put, Carbon Voice is a tool I would find it hard to live without.

### 5/5 — Hyper efficiency boost

*2024-02-04*

Carbon Voice is awesome multimodal communication. You can choose to talk and listen, or type and read. And when you are in voice mode, you can listen to others in real time rather than every other communication app that makes you record a message and then send it once you are done. This makes it impractical to use all other voice applications for any sort of a real time conversation because it introduces huge lags between each message. in Carbon Voice, I can choose to be a synchronous, or I can choose to be synchronous. I’m the CEO of a NASDAQ tech company, and I actually took the time to measure my communication efficiency. In speaking on Carbon Voice, I am four times faster than I am typing with my thumbs and more than two times faster than I am typing with a full keyboard. And the transcription is amazingly good to where you don’t have to speak out punctuation anymore. In fact, I’m now using it to compose emails and even longform presentations because I can just speak in a stream of consciousness and get a well punctuated grammatically, correct transcript seamlessly back.

### 5/5 — Carbon Voice is the new standard in async voice communication

*2023-08-21*

I’m a big fan of the under appreciated power of asynchronous voice communication. For instance, in the time it would take to organize a call, you might have already had the entire conversation. And you get a listen and correspond back when you have time. Async voice messaging does not fully replace live meetings but it does delay the need for them considerably.

Having said that, I’ve been wanting more from Voxer for along time. Voxer is good with the basics but it could be so much more and it hasn’t added anything new features in years. So, I have always monitored for different tech that would come along and replace it. Over the years, it never happened. Then, I met Carbon Voice. As soon as I started to use it, it was instantly better than Voxer.

Here is a list of things I appreciate about Carbon Voice:

You can pause a message in the middle of leaving one, collect your thoughts, record some more. You can do this as many times as you want.
Instant transcription of all message (Just about perfect every time)
Export your transcripts
Tap on part of a transcript to go right to that part of the message.
Speed up or slow down playback.
Send people a link to your Carbon Voice box.
Share links to messages.
Async meetings has become a standard practice already with my team. Here, you invite people to a async meeting and create an end date and time for people to reply. People in the group get reminders along the way and a summary of the meeting at the end.
Record messages then share with various people (this has really come in handy).
Create discussion groups easily.
I use carbon voice:

For personal use (notes to self for transcriptions)
Messaging friends
Messaging my work team
Messaging clients
Getting feedback on our app and on our work
One of my valued apps already. Carbon Voice is the new standard in asynchronous voice communication.

Really looking forward to them adding (hopefully) :

More functionality to Apple Watch
Letting you create agenda notes you can reference while you leave a message (to help you stay on track with your thoughts)
Automations to Notion and other services
And more…
