App didn’t update your booking status. They have charged double as my time exceeded only 7 minutes. The driver literally fell asleep while driving and we were almost on the verge of hitting the divider when we all shouted and he opened his eyes & took control over the car. We were at 100 Kmph while it happened, the car would have toppled 4-5 times if we’d have hit the divider, & maybe I wasn’t alive to write this if I wouldn’t have screamed. Although I’m not giving 1 rating because of this but because of the rash driving, overtaking the cars at the last moment, accelerating too much on the 1st/2nd gears, narrow turns, and while he was resting in Amritsar he kept sitting in the car keeping the AC on. These 2 things - excess acceleration & AC on while car was idle for hours got too much pressure on the engine that it started indicating red symbol for engine-check on the dashboard. Now I’ll also have to take my car to the showroom just to investigate that. While I was booking, I did ask CarChalak to assign me a slow driver, a matured and an experienced person but this wasn’t followed and we were sent a beginner I guess. Sandeep, the driver was well spoken n everything but he is extremely weak in his profession. As it was late at night, I had asked the driver if we can take a halt at night for a sleepover at some hotel but he insisted to continue driving back. After the nap incident, I just couldn’t trust him & I myself took the wheel and drove home for the last 150 Kms. I do not intent for any refunds coz I’ve already paid your complete fee online but Im just glad we made it home safe. Carchalak app driver called and fixed the pick up time also but he didn’t come at all. And when i asked him then he said he was sent on another ride. My mood was really so spoiled really. Avoid at all costs if you value your family's safety. The driver assigned for our round-trip was grossly negligent from the start: he missed highway turns, tried to dangerously cross a sunk divider, and unilaterally overspeeded while ignoring our repeated commands to stay within the limit. At our meeting venue, he abandoned us and went to sleep inside the vehicle with his phone off for an hour, leaving us stranded outside in the heat. Later, he recklessly accelerated the car while I was trying to retrieve my belongings, nearly causing severe injury to my already fractured hand. To make matters worse, since this morning, this driver has been spamming my phone with horrific vulgar abuses, extortion demands, and explicit death threats ("जान से मारने की धमकी"). CarChalak clearly does zero background verification or safety vetting for the drivers they send to people's homes. We are actively filing a criminal police FIR against the driver and will be dragging CarChalak to court for absolute failure of passenger safety. Utterly traumatizing experience. 0/5 Stars. ### 1/5 — Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible service *2025-12-04* I booked a driver through this service yesterday to attend an important event, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The driver claimed that a dog suddenly came in the way, but I did not see any dog at all. Instead, he ended up damaging my car badly — the headlights and fog lights were pushed inside, and there is a big bump on the car body now. The worst part is their behaviour after the incident. They did not take responsibility, did not offer refund, and simply acted like it was my fault for booking them in the first place. This is completely unacceptable. I trusted them with my car, and it came back with severe damage. If you value your vehicle and your peace of mind, please avoid booking with them.
