## What is Card Cameo?

Card Cameo turns your camera into an instant trading-card identifier. Point your phone at any card and Card Cameo names it, prices it, and tells you what it is worth right now.

Every scan produces a snapshot of the card: a portrait-in-relief identity, backed by a live price signal.

Recognition upgrades
• Vintage cards handled correctly — Beta, Unlimited, Revised, 4th, 
  and Collectors' Edition are distinguished by border color, frame 
  era, and corner shape rather than defaulting to the most famous 
  printing.
• Rules-text OCR + set-line OCR fine-tune the picked printing when 
  two versions share the same art (Lightning Bolt, Sol Ring, etc.).
• Confidence builds over time — the longer you hold a card, the 
  harder it is for a single blurry frame to knock the identification 
  to a lookalike.

Pricing
• Foil Mode toggle is now labeled and immediately shows the foil 
  price for the identified card. Non-foil / foil switch takes effect 
  as soon as you tap.
• Displayed price locks to the most-common recent printing instead 
  of jumping to whichever variant briefly appeared last.

Camera controls
• Focus presets — cycle Far / Medium / Close-up. No autofocus 
  hunting; each preset snaps instantly.
• Soft green detection halo replaces the old jittery outline — 
  glows around the card and interpolates smoothly as it moves.

Showcase mode
• Reimagined with real 3D crystals — a "cameo" of the card in its 
  identity color, with an elemental-crystal shape (hex bipyramid, 
  faceted, glowing from within).
• Fine-tune sliders in the Showoff Settings sheet: Gem multiplier, 
  Gem size, Text size, Emit frequency. Long-press the sparkles 
  button to open.
• Continuous emission stream instead of bursts. Money floaters 
  linger longer so the price is readable.
• Higher slider ceilings for those who want the maximum shower.

Under the hood
• Detection rectangle no longer shudders — Vision jitter is smoothed 
  frame-to-frame.
• Card-name and printing stability tracked across a rolling 3-second 
  window.
• Cheaper per-crystal rendering — the fleet uses Blinn shading and a 
  single core light instead of the earlier PBR + envmap setup.
