I also like the basic strategy section (even though I use a different app for that) but I would switch, if the cards wouldn't be laced out vertically (which is very uncommon to the usual casino style). I would switch if the cards would be in the same horizontal layout as usually played in the casino. Would make the training more realistic and adaptable to IRL play. Apart from that, like the app :) **Developer response:** Thanks! I can look into this for the next update I’m trying to finish. I try to keep the app in one orientation to make it so the user doesn’t have to constantly rotate their phone, which is a catch 22 because that means it is harder to fit everything in portrait mode. I tried on my other phone which is on the first beta of iOS 26 that released a while ago and it still works fine. I really like this app but the developer needs to update it so it can support the latest version of iOS since the app hasn’t been updated in a year. **Developer response:** Thanks for downloading. Pay the 3-4 bucks for no ads it’s worth it. Plus the developer threw the option on there to pay for his private pilots license and I hope he got it because I understand the struggle and I’m trying to pay for it myself hopefully taking my check ride in the next few weeks. Level 1, second time dealing the running count I enter is never correct despite me knowing it is. **Developer response:** Hello, can you please provide more details on the setup to investigate? Are you using HiLo or another count system? Any information is helpful. There are massive improvements coming in the next version of the app that I hope will change your one star review. Thanks, Justin ### 1/5 — This app is supposed to help you do just one thing… *2025-02-05* When you are in beat the clock mode, it does not animate the card flip, so you cannot tell if it is repeating a card or not when it is 2 consecutive cards of same value and suit. On the modes where it does animate, it really animates too slow, hiding the value of the next card. It just does not feel natural or work sufficiently. **Developer response:** Hey Matt! Justin ### 1/5 — Needs work *2024-04-19, version 4.4.0* Dealt Out KO is broken and even when naming the correct count it tells you that you fail and then when you go back and watch it counts to the count you originally guessed. Tried to reach out to support, report in the app, and no response. Running the latest iOS and app version. Update: I have deleted the app from my phone, rebooted my phone, have done a fresh install of the app, and when I open the app I get the version updates page and then a white screen that just says “loading app data” and nothing ever happens after that. **Developer response:** Hey JDS, Did you download the app as an update or was this a fresh install? I can certainly look into fixing this for you. Update for your Update: Thanks for that information. I’ve started completely re-writing the way the app loads to prevent issues like this occurring. I can’t say for certain I found the bug causing this issue for you, but I’ve found a few “troublesome” spots that desperately need improved. Justin ### 1/5 — App Still Doesn’t Work *2023-06-16* I have downloaded the 4.1.4 version 4x already like you said. In your response to everyone you said you have fixed the problem with the “infinite loading.” Well you haven’t. Because the 4x that I have downloaded the 4.1.4 version I keep getting stuck on “loading app data.” It won’t move off from that constant spin cycle. You can’t play the game because it won’t allow you to move any further. It’s stuck on the “infinite loading” part. I hope that’s enough context for you. **Developer response:** Hey Whateva! Please update to version 4.1.4 to fix the issues you are writing about. Your version of the app is out of date. If you are still having issues, please provide context so I can investigate further. If the app is stuck loading data there may be an issue with your account in the database. I can’t find your account if I do not know any of your account details. I’m doing my best as a single developer to find the issue for you. I’m sorry that a free app is causing you so much pain. Added Context: I am a single person working on the app while having a full time job that requires traveling and long hours. I apologize for the bug and have been trying to investigate the issue when I can. I understand that you are looking to use the app as soon as possible. Justin ### 1/5 — Bug *2023-03-15, version 4.1.0* The pro mode for the dealt cards mode doesn't work. ### 1/5 — It’s not correct *2022-12-13, version 3.0.3* The KISS 1 has the correct guidelines, but the app doesn’t follow them. 10’s are not counted - just face cards. The KISS 3 has reversed red and black deuces - it wants you to count black as 0 and red as +1. It’s not helpful if it doesn’t count by the rules of the counting system. Waste of money. ### 1/5 — Paid $5 but ads still there *2022-11-29* This app was useful until the began to appear even after I spent $5 removing them. After re downloading the app my profile has now disappeared and it’s asking me to pay again. Happy to remove this review if the problem is fixed, as the app is generally useful. **Developer response:** Hey Luca, In other responses I know I have promised an update to fix this issue and some others. I can promise you that will be coming in the next month. A few personal issues have set me back and kept me from working on this app. This is still no excuse. I do hope you stay with the app and trust the update should be here in January. I am pushing full force on a complete rewrite to the app to fix multiple bugs I personally have found in the current version.
