Hasn’t been updated in 6 years, but there’s just nothing else. Artificer is practically unusable. You cannot make two color cards look like they should in this app, they have to be 3+ color or mono color. Sidenote: it runs slowly sometimes, delayed responses and whatnot, but that only really happens after using the app for a long time. However, I have come across a need for some features that I think would be beneficial to the users of this app: - Make cards that transform into other cards, as this would be very useful for making more complex cards. - Be able to add extra text to planeswalkers besides the ability text. - Support for artifact tokens, since this would allow for some much-needed functional customizability. - Adventure effects on cards, because it would be cool. As for visual customization, I think these features would be quite nice: - Full art lands - Allow alternate card skins (as in, borderless, translucent text boxes, karlov manor magnifying glass, etc.) Given its current features, I still consider it an amazing app for those who want to make MTG cards such as myself, but it could use some more options on how to make cards. ### 4/5 — A Game With Growth Potential *2024-01-18, version 2.2.5* This game is great. It’s got all the materials needed to make a decent Magic card, I get to see all the amazing things people are making, and if I ever get confused about Magic card terms, I can just use the app to find it out. The only thing I would say is this: 1. Double-Sided Cards. A feature for a good Magic card. 2. Vintage and Alternate Card Designs. Some option in card appearance. 3. Some Direction In Card Format. A solution to confusion in Magic card making. It may not be perfect, but you’re doing great. It’s better than I could do, and the Patron thing is totally understandable. Many of the the rates in the set have 5 lines of rules text and 3 lines of flavor text. Have better system for selecting your photos 2. Better cropping options for your photos 3. Better border options for the hybrid cards (could provide picture examples if you’d like) 4. Options for full art and or full art borderless 5. In general better border options (again I could provide pictures of examples if you would like) 6. A more customizable menu integration for your saved folders. 7. And the options to make planes chase cards. It is so hard to use and why do I need to become a patron to change MY own card. Not only does it make it a pain in the side to just find the pic you’re looking for, it doesn’t even WORK when you do find it. Hitting the Finish button after selecting an image brings you back to the card editing screen WITHOUT PUTTING THE IMAGE YOU SELECTED IN THAT SCREEN. However in the community section, there are many inappropriate pictures of almost nude women and people making out. My kids use this app for creating cards, and now got exposed to these disturbing pictures. It is brilliant for printing out cards and saving them. If you want to make your own card pack, I prefer to use this app, the text isn’t too small like the other app I checked out, Card Creator is the app for you! But 2 Glitches and suggestions, 1. please add a search bar for seeing cards, and also, 2. The photo place, where you take a photo of the picture you want to use, why is the camera turnt at 90 Degrees? Left is up. Up is right, right is down, down is left, so please fix that, but overall amazing! 5 Stars. You saved my butt, Thank you Card Creator ### 5/5 — Awesome, couple of things though. *2026-07-01* This app is actually so much easier to use than other apps, and ever since MTG cardsmith implemented the 30-card limit this place has been a lifesaver. There are a few obscure card types missing such as battles, plane cards and others, but that matters very little. The basics are here and that means the rest can be made with a few simple extra steps (I do it all the time by making plane cards out of land cards)! However, there is one glaring problem: the difficulty of selecting images. The way it’s done is very confusing, and the size of the photo library is tiny. If this was updated, I’d say this would be a masterpiece of an app. This is an amazing app, and I’m glad it isn’t demanding money for everything. Thank you a lot for this masterpiece. ### 5/5 — Great Game, Can be Improved *2025-11-10* This game is super helpful for designing Magic cards, but there are a few things that it isn’t capable of: 1. You can’t add abilities to tokens. 2. You can’t make your own expansion symbol. 3. For planeswalkers, you can only have 3 abilities, no more no less, which means you can’t have static abilities. 4. It would be helpful if the game kept track of the amount of each type of card you have in each folder. It would make set building much easier 5. You can’t make the oracle text have italics, of which you need in order to write some keywords like “raid” or “morbid” or fathomless descent” 6. You can’t add the symbol that means the card is double sided. Thank you for reading my opinion. Also, for those of you thinking about becoming a patron: it’s definetly worth it! ### 5/5 — Great app *2025-07-28, version 2.2.5* This is a wonderful app. There is a good spread of cards and the developers do not pressure you to buy premium. They also are really good with listening to feedback. The only thing is the text space runs out rather quickly so you can’t write anything more complex than about 4 lines. Also would be good if you could add planeswalker passives rather than just flat abilities. I do however, have one tiny thing I’d like to request of the developers of the app, and that is to be able to move your cards in the collection area. It would allow people to move their cards into new folders and reorganize them how they choose, something that would help I think a lot of people who just got a hold of the app in particular. Either way, can’t thank the creators enough for making such a good app! ### 5/5 — A breath of fresh air *2021-07-12* I’ve come to expect all mobile apps, especially the numerous garbage card making apps. But this is a breath of fresh air! No ads, a reactive developer that listens, the only paywall is cheap and it’s only for something not really needed (Plus since the dev is kind enough to have no ads they need that paywall, app development is a business and fees need to be paid). A really great app overall! My only complaints are some minor QOL changes and a big bug I’ve been dealing with for a while. The big bug is after being on the app for a while it starts to slow and lag, eventually becoming seriously slowed and then crashing. However I have noticed it’s not as severe as it used to be, so I assume they are working on it. The other complaints are just some quality of life things, mostly being modern abilities, the new card types such as sagas and adventure cards, and the ability to create your own card text abilities (Maybe a separate menu where you add them like within the glossary. It doesn’t need to be a public sharing thing but maybe later you can add the option to share) Overall an amazing app with amazing devs!
