The problem is that when you use it (which you have to if you want to beat anything) the game slows to a crawl. The game engine was written so poorly that the more effects triggered by events (e.g. illusion → elemental debuff), the slower the game gets. Louis can blow through 10 attacks in 3 seconds while it takes Oriana 15. Playing a card and waiting 15 seconds to play another one is excruciatingly painful. It’s as if the turn handler is just a giant loop with a thousand ifs in it that repeats for every buff in play. Do your players a favor: point some AI agent at the codebase for a couple hours and have it fix your game engine (as long as you have thorough test coverage of course). To add insult to injury, the game doesn’t save state during a battle. If the game disconnects for whatever reason (it freezes and you have to close it or you just need to pause), you have to **start the battle over**. This forces users to finish every battle they start, regardless of how long it takes, if they don’t want to repeat it. A massive faux pas in a single player game.
