## What is Card School?

Classic British card games, ready whenever you are. Card School brings Crash, 7-Card Brag, Gin Rummy and Chase the Ace to your iPhone and iPad, with no account needed and no internet needed to play the computer.

FOUR GAMES, ONE APP
- Crash (13-card brag): split 13 cards into four hands and outplay your rivals, with eight regional rule presets or your own house rules.
- 7-Card Brag: discard and split seven cards into a three-card and a four-card hand.
- Gin Rummy: build melds, cut your deadwood and knock first. First to 100 wins the match.
- Chase the Ace: stick or swap, dodge the King and keep your lives. Last player standing wins. 3 to 6 players.

PLAY AGAINST THE COMPUTER
Solo play against Bandit, Vic and Quack at Easy, Medium, Hard or Mixed difficulty. Everything works offline.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS (BETA)
Invite friends to play any of the four games online through Game Center. Invites only, with no chat. Computer players can fill empty seats.

LEARN AS YOU PLAY
How to Play guides cover the rules and hand rankings for every game, and a guided first hand walks you through Crash.

KEEP SCORE
- A pegboard scoreboard on every table.
- Stats for each game, backed up to iCloud.
- Game Center leaderboards, including Today's Points, a daily board for points scored in Crash and 7-Card Brag.

Card School is free to play with ads. An optional Remove Ads purchase removes them for 12 months.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.1 — 2026-10-15

• Smoother showdowns: drag your hand onto your pile with a bigger, clearer target. Your pile lights up as you drag, and the tray takes up much less room, so the whole table stays in view
• The Home menu bar now matches whichever table felt you choose
• Easier-to-read rules and difficulty settings in dark mode
• Help improve Card School: choose to share anonymous stats about which games you play. No names, no tracking, and you can turn it off any time in Settings
• Bug fixes and improvements

### 1.4 — 2026-10-13

Chase the Ace, the classic way
Chase the Ace now plays the traditional pairs game. All the cards are dealt, you put down your pairs, then take a card from the player on your right. Get rid of all your cards and you’re safe. Be the one left holding the Ace and you lose!

• Pick a card from your neighbour’s hand and shuffle your own to hide the Ace
• Play against 1 to 5 computer opponents, from Easy to Hard
• Play online with friends in the multiplayer beta
• Prefer stick or swap? It’s still there: choose it under Rules when you set up a game
• Separate stats for each version, and updated How to Play

### 1.3 — 2026-10-12

Gin Rummy and Chase the Ace join Crash and 7-Card Brag, so Card School now has four classic card games to play offline against the computer.

NEW
- Gin Rummy: standard two-player Gin. Knock, go Gin or undercut your opponent, first to 100.
- Chase the Ace: 3 to 6 players, three lives each, last one standing wins.
- Easy, Medium, Hard and Mixed computer players in every game.
- How to Play guides for all four games.
- Multiplayer (beta): play all four games online with friends via Game Center.
- Today's Points: a daily leaderboard for points scored in Crash and 7-Card Brag.

IMPROVED
- Send feedback or report a problem straight from Settings.
- Better layouts on iPhone SE and iPad landscape.
- Bigger tap areas on the action bar.
- Large text now works in Gin Rummy.
- Clearer screen titles on the felt in light mode.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-28

*added a play button to daily deal
*added iCloud support for stats tracking, surviving a delete/re-install cycle.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-28
