Exactly the right feature set I was looking for; I'm a Science student at university and the WYSIWYG online editor with easy options for images, symbols and sub and super script was exactly what I was after. Leitner card review system is a must have and the clean interface is a bonus.

This nice little app let's me learn my flashcards offline and then sync them with a cloud service.
While the english translation is not perfect, the folks at card2brain make due with a free service and responsive support.
 A great "hidden" feature: Language cards can be learned in both directions, eg. english->spanish and spanish->english
