### 2/5 — my data is gone & i miss my dog

*2026-07-27, version 2.6*

was a great app to use that was recommended by my vet when my dog first got diagnosed with CHF. he recently passed away and i didn’t have the courage to open up the app until now. i didn’t expect that i’d never be able to see the last heart rates of his that i tracked. The lack of care and responsibility regarding user data management and accessibility is beyond disgusting and the company as a whole should be ashamed for not even giving users a chance to save the data before the app was revamped.

### 2/5 — What about cats?

*2026-07-25, version 2.6*

It was great, now it’s not. Shame on Cardalis. It WAS easy to use, easy to email data to my vet. BUT the update last week lost all my breathing rate data and my log in & account info. A few days later and I have to log in again but my password manager doesn’t recode the app. I’m not starting from scratch yet again. Very frustrating. Also, you know cats need Cardalis as well right? Why limit the account info to dogs only? How hard can it be to include cat breeds? 5 stars if your next update doesn’t delete data & finds all my old account details AND you respect/include cats (or other critters!). Zero stars if you don’t fix this and will go back tons stop watch function on phone, pen & paper.

### 1/5 — Wrecked the App

*2026-07-23, version 2.6*

Along with so many others, all data was lost and no way to recover it. What a waste of time.

### 1/5 — App update caused data loss

*2026-07-23, version 2.6*

I’ve been using this app for almost two years. How did you all not think this was going to be a problem for dog owners tracking a chronic condition for their pet? This is a huge miss and from reading the other reviews I’ll definitely have to find another tracker.

### 1/5 — All data gone with app update

*2026-07-23, version 2.6*

My vet recommended this. I used it for 1.5 years of tracking resp rate for my dog with heart murmur and with app update all data lost! Where is it? Tables, charts, gone!! Lost the previous 4 stars I would have given. Had to give 1 or review wouldn’t upload

### 1/5 — New Update is Horrible

*2026-07-23, version 2.6*

Opened the app only to be prompted to create an account with this new update.

Now all historical data is lost without warning.

### 1/5 — AVOID - recent update destroyed years of data

*2026-07-23, version 2.6*

The developer (Ceva Animal Health) knowingly destroyed years of user’s data with the recent update, without any advanced notice or way to recover it. The loss of years of data on my senior dog is distressing. Recommend tracking your pet’s resting respiratory rate elsewhere if you want to be sure you’ll be able to access it in the future.

### 1/5 — Deleted all my pets data

*2026-07-22, version 2.6*

Look at ur apps reviews and give back all the data you deleted for your customers pets who are sick and using your product please!!

### 1/5 — All Data Lost

*2026-07-22, version 2.6*

People use this app to monitor their pets Breathing Rate- an insight to their health and with the last update ALL readings were wiped clean- months of tracking and monitoring- beware!

### 1/5 — Wtf

*2026-07-22, version 2.6*

Updated app and completely deleted my account and all my dogs data. Are you serious!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Four years of data lost to an update

*2026-07-22, version 2.6*

We have a dog with seizures and a heart murmur and this app **was** the one routine process that was simple. Low and behold, an update erased four years of data and now we’re having to use spreadsheets. Great job, Cardalis, vibe coding your paperweight of an app!

### 1/5 — Dire upgrade

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

The version prior to the upgrade was good, easy to use and view history. Whoever signed off the upgrade should be sacked. All historical data now lost, need to log in each time and instead of the nice big heart to tap on to record breathing rate, a tiny pixel sized target difficult to trigger. Looking for a better app

### 1/5 — Now unusable

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

Used for the past few years to monitor more than one dog successfully. The recent upgrade has now made this unusable. Along with losing all past records, it doesn’t easily respond and it’s too hard to click without looking when watching the dogs. I’ll be exploring alternatives.

### 1/5 — DATA LOSS !

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

DO NOT UPDATE !!

### 1/5 — Are you kidding me????

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

I have a cat with heart disease. I need to monitor his breathing. I’ve now lost years of data. As others are saying, with no notice. Making improvements is not destroying the old. Unbelievable. I guess a pen & paper is still always the best.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

Just says "server error", pointless and frustrating

### 1/5 — Bring the old app

*2026-07-21, version 2.6*

It wasn’t broken. Why change? Awful now

### 1/5 — Lost years of data after update

*2026-07-20, version 2.6*

I cannot believe there was no warning about losing data with the update. I lost 2+ years of invaluable health data for monitoring my 20 year old cat’s heart disease.

### 1/5 — Horrible Update - Lost Years of Data

*2026-07-19, version 2.6*

Lost years of data with this new update. No advance notice was given - they just simply got rid of all of our past years of data. Horrible experience - There wasn’t any need for deleting our old data.

### 1/5 — Irresponsible update lost important medical data

*2026-07-19, version 2.6*

The update erased all of my dog’s health data which I’ve been monitoring for a long time now and since the update I also keep being logged out. Appreciate that the app is free but when it is something important like this it’s irresponsible to “completely revamp” the app without considering the real consequences. My dog has her scan next week and I have nothing to show the vet they’ll just have to take my word for the range.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — LOST ALL OF MY DATA

*2026-07-27, version 2.6*

This was a decent app to track the respiratory rate of my small dog with a heart murmur. I check roughly once every other week. This week I go to check and I now need to login (I have no login) and I have lost 100% of the data that I have been compiling for the past 6 years. No notice. I also can’t even create an account so I’m annoyed all around. Complete and total fail, Cardalis. People actually use this app to maintain and manage pet health, you’ve just screwed a lot of us for no reason.

### 1/5 — LOST YEARS OF DATA

*2026-07-27, version 2.6*

Years of valuable data completely lost without warning!

### 1/5 — Update destroyed a great app

*2026-07-27, version 2.6*

The recent app has just completely ruined a simple product that worked well. I don’t want to log in to measure my dog’s heart rate every single time. It’s impossible to switch between dogs without changing the setting for which one is the “main” dog. Every single extra step increases the chance of the dog waking up while you are trying to get the app working. Clearly updated by someone who doesn’t have a dog. What a tremendous shame.

### 1/5 — Lost years of data

*2026-07-26, version 2.6*

My pup has severe mitral valve disease and we were using this app for years to track his heart rate. Now my hubby and I are not able to log in and we have lost years of data, right before his upcoming cardiologist appt. Very disappointing!!

### 1/5 — All data lost after a year

*2026-07-26, version 2.6*

I relied on the app to keep respiratory rates and notes for 2 Maltese beauties, 14 year young sisters with heart conditions. I loved that I could have their vet check the reports, graphs and my notes on them. But without warning all their data and my account are both gone. How irresponsible to not give the users at least a chance to print results before erasing a year’s worth of information. Simply awful.

### 1/5 — Deleted Years Worth of Data

*2026-07-25, version 2.6*

I’m furious. My dog has a heart murmur and it deleted two years worth of data for my little girl. No apology, no promise to fix this, absolutely furious. The new app isn’t even as good. I’m so angry.

### 1/5 — Deleted data

*2026-07-24, version 2.6*

Devastated as the app has updated and erased years of data which was really important to the health of my pets. There should’ve been warning and a way for us to download and keep our data. Gutted.

### 1/5 — Update erased all history without warning

*2026-07-24, version 2.6*

I understand wanting to update your app to improve services. But developers updated the app and provided existing users zero warning a change was coming that would clear out years worth of history with no way to recover. To say I am disappointed is an understatement.

### 1/5 — No good

*2026-07-24, version 2.6*

They make it mandatory to put in my dog’s breed, (Japanese Chin), but don’t have that listed in the options.

### 1/5 — Don’t update

*2026-07-24, version 2.6*

Like others, I lost my dogs respiratory rate history. I can’t even get past the reminder screen - “server error.” I should have read reviews before updating.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App support please

*2026-07-17, version 2.6*

All of a sudden the app has logged me out after a year and I can’t log back in it’s saying my email isn’t recognised and I can’t contact you via the link below. I urgently need access to my account for my 2 pets that have heart disease

### 5/5 — Change made the app rubbish

*2026-07-09, version 2.6*

Had to restart from scratch so all their history is gone. It’s really clunky and having to select the dog and make them the main instead of just being able to tap on their picture to record their breathing is annoying.

### 5/5 — Time zone problems

*2025-03-10, version 2.5*

Very useful app for following dogs heart. However the app is showing wrong timezone. Dont know how to change this.

### 5/5 — Utilissima

*2024-05-24, version 2.5*

Utilissima e semplicissima applicazione per monitorare la frequenza cardiaca del proprio cane.

### 5/5 — Useful tool for our pup

*2023-07-23, version 2.5*

Even though we’ve recently lost our pup to heart disease I’m super thankful we had this app to monitor our boy. This app did prolong our time w/ out mr dog, I’m super thankful.

### 5/5 — Bien

*2022-01-12, version 2.3*

La app es fácil de usar y muy intuitiva. Imprescindible para todos aquellos dueños de perros cardiopatías.

Es verdad que falla en ocasiones, pero en general cumple siempre su función.

### 5/5 — Simple Useful App

*2021-12-04*

This app is designed to do exactly what it should and that is to help me count my dog’s breaths and keep track of the data over time. I did not know such apps exist and better yet, it is free! I cannot complain because it sure beat what I was doing before so thank you!

### 5/5 — Very Helpful

*2021-07-26, version 2.3*

This App is a great tool for pet owners and doctors! User friendly and helpful.

### 5/5 — Big M Govig

*2021-07-26, version 2.3*

App is easy to use.

### 5/5 — Cardalis app

*2021-07-26, version 2.3*

Outstanding app for sick dogs
