Somewhere in your house there's a binder, a shoebox, or a stack of cards in a drawer. Cardbase helps you quickly find out what they're worth — and which ones may be worth grading. Point your camera at a trading card. Recognition usually takes about two seconds. No need to type card names or look up set codes. Graded slabs are supported too — the label is read automatically. The fastest way to import a collection Scanning is designed to be the main workflow. One photo per card, roughly two seconds each. A full binder can be done in an evening instead of a weekend of data entry. Batch mode keeps the camera open so you can work through a stack without stopping. Cards the scanner is unsure about are queued for confirmation instead of being silently guessed. Sold prices — with clear market context Most price guides show asking prices. Cardbase focuses on completed sales data and always labels the market a number comes from. Certain games are priced from Japanese sold listings; others use US market data. You can always see which market you’re looking at. Cards that trade regularly show 7, 30 and 90-day price history so you can better judge recent movements. Know more before you pay the grading fee Photograph a raw card and Cardbase measures its centering from the photo. This version measures centering only — it does not score corners, edges or surface. When there aren’t enough real sales to price a specific grade, Cardbase indicates that instead of inventing a number. Your collection as a portfolio See everything as one total, watch it move over time, and open any card’s price chart. Sort by value, set or date added. Organize cards into collections and display totals in HKD, JPY or USD. Sell when you’re ready When a card hits your target, list it on the marketplace directly from your collection. On iOS, leaving a screen and coming back redraws the line on Home and Collection without restarting the app. • The legend is a toggle again. Tap a grade to show or hide its line, as many at once as you like, and the Compare button under each cell is gone. • Buys and sells are marked on your Collection value chart at the point the value actually moved, so an unpriced add and a same-day buy-and-sell both show up, and today's sell appears the day you make it. • When several operations land close together, the chart keeps the newest one visible rather than the largest. Your collection • A failed read is no longer reported as an empty collection. One bad response used to make the whole collection look gone. • An item that cannot be opened says why instead of swallowing the tap. • Sold items is now Trade history. Free shows your last 5 trades, Pro the last 12 months, Ultra everything. • Recent activity is ordered by when it happened. • Changing the currency on a card no longer changes it for your whole account. Scanning and browsing • Picking a card in Scan no longer closes the whole page. • Dragging to scroll a list no longer opens the card under your finger. On Search results a scroll could open whatever you started the drag on. Everywhere else • Grade pickers are painted in each grading company's own colour. • A Pro prompt now names the feature you just tapped, and it stops offering free readers things their plan already includes. • A calmer palette across the app: orange is reserved for what you can act on, so prices, headings and card art read first. • Sheets follow the app's own Light or Dark setting instead of the phone's. • The report-a-problem page no longer reloads itself. ### 1.7.0 — 2026-09-03 A new opening • The app now plays an animation while it starts, instead of showing a static screen. Giveaways • Free to enter, and using the app the way you already do earns extra chances — scanning a card, running a centering analysis, inviting a friend. • The full terms are published in the app, and every number in them comes from the draw itself. • Your invite link now tells you when someone joins on it. Sealed Boxes & Packs • A sealed box or pack now opens its own detail screen, the same as a card does. • Mark one sold from that screen, and correct the date you bought it. Marketplace and messages • Search finds a seller by name. • A picture you send in a chat arrives as the picture you sent. Collection and Home • The collection header now moves with the chart and your recent trades instead of sitting apart from them. • Past week measures a real week, and the day's movers are colored to match the line. Elsewhere • The You tab is reorganized so every row says where it leads, and the rows nobody used are gone. • Buttons, toasts and notices were redrawn to stay legible on older iOS and on Android. • Dozens of smaller fixes across scanning, pricing and five languages. ### 1.6.1 — 2026-09-01 Portfolio • Your value chart now draws a cost-basis line as the step function it is, marks the days you bought and sold directly on it, and fills the band between cost and market so gains and losses read at a glance. • Swipe the portfolio card on Home to reach your all-time realized profit and loss. • Marking a card sold shows what you paid and your live profit before you confirm, and the sold price gets its own line. Marketplace • A listed card is marked in Collection and shows your asking price, so you can change it or unlist from where the card lives. Relist whenever you want. • One conversation per listing, so cards from the same seller stay separate and the newest message is always in view. • Delivery is something buyer and seller can agree between them, and listings in another currency name that currency. • Fuller marketplace filters: every brand is selectable, each showing how many are there. • Blocking and reporting: a blocked person won't appear in browse, make an offer, or read a thread. Scanning and photos • A scan uploads exactly what sits inside the viewfinder window, matching what you framed, so identification is more accurate. • Scan photos can be recropped, moved and reset, and HEIC photos are supported. • Batch scanning gains a long-press menu on results, and you can step between cards awaiting confirmation without closing the screen. Elsewhere • Wishlist is now one tap from Home. • You is a single page, and shows the plan you're on. • Order-status changes notify you, and the inbox brings every notification together. • Faster launch, smoother scrolling and lower memory use. • Dozens of text, layout and price-display improvements across five languages. ### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-29 • Cardbase has a new look — a new logo, a new icon and a refreshed design throughout. Same app, same collection. • Sign in with Google, through Google's own account picker — and every sign-in now lands you on Home instead of the screen that asked you to sign in. • Card actions are reliable again: long-press a card, or tap the ••• in its corner. • No more false "offline" — the app stops claiming you have no connection when you do. • A failed update can no longer lock you out of the app. • One price block per card, showing today's price. Raw is listed before PSA 10, and a price borrowed from another grade now says so instead of passing as the card's own. • Nothing shrinks to unreadable any more — prices and headings stay legible on dense grids. • A card's price chart now marks the days you sold one. • Sold cards settle at the bottom of Collection instead of mixing in with what you own, and your collection total reads as market value rather than what you paid. • Market: block a seller without having to report them, and a blocked seller stays out of your feed, your threads and your offers. • Profile & Account: addresses can be edited and cleared, Thai addresses are accepted, and a phone-number change request now completes end to end. • Display Currency opens on the six currencies people actually use, with the rest one tap away. • The onboarding clips no longer interrupt whatever you were listening to. • Report a problem straight from You. ### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-24 • Scanning identifies cards on your phone with no connection. This version's on-device library covers Pokémon and One Piece, English and Japanese prints. • When a scan is unsure, CardBase offers cards from the collector number printed on the card. • Leave the app and come back. The screen is where you left it. • A grade's number always appears with its grade. • Every price names its market.
