My monthly plus ticket wouldn’t show and the driver wouldn’t let me on without buying a new ticket. The app eventually worked but said I had no tickets then 5 minutes later my monthly ticket showed. If the app doesn’t work then what’s the point of it. Enables you to confirm that the bus has not yet passed your stop. Not so good is the accuracy of the Departures at a stop. This is seldom accurate and has caused me to miss the bus on several occasions. Timetables seem accurate enough. She then suggested I need to delete my cards from my wallet and try that way. I had to buy a second ticket! I purchased a day ticket, unaware of the significant disruptions due to a city-wide event, as the bus officer failed to inform me at the point of sale. The lack of transparency and failure to communicate effectively left me stranded, significantly inconvenienced, and out of pocket. It’s alarming that Cardiff Bus considers posting notifications on digital platforms sufficient, neglecting passengers who may not have access to or the habit of checking these sources regularly. This oversight demonstrates a disregard for customer service and the primary responsibility of ensuring all passengers are adequately informed about service changes that could heavily impact their plans. This incident has severely impacted my trust in Cardiff Bus. Refusing to acknowledge the situation or consider a refund under these circumstances adds insult to injury, showing a worrying lack of customer empathy and service accountability. I urge Cardiff Bus to reevaluate its communication policies and customer service principles. Passengers deserve clear, accessible information, especially when it affects their ability to navigate the city. Your service on this occasion was far below the expected standard, and your response to my complaint was disappointing. I expected better from a service that plays such a critical role in the daily lives of Cardiff’s residents and visitors. ### 1/5 — Bus not tracking on app *2024-01-29, version 57* Too many days I try to catch a 44 at 6:30 am I use the app departure tells me 5 min 1 min due try to track a bus and there is nothing in st Mellons or even close to st Mellons showing on the tracker . After standing in the rain waiting for a bus that then the departure shows as 38 mins , I walk to another stop for the 45 only to have a 44 pass me on my way . It was 5 mins late and not showing up on the tracker. This is happy2 to three days out of five making me late for work it is not exceptable and unprofessional to say the least . I am more than disappointed more like furious .
