Very insightful, deep, thought provoking of self. Very good meditation material. The reader sounds British and speaks clearly and calmly, and he sounds like he understands what he is reading. He sounds like cardinal Neumann giving a sermon. Now for the Catholic sermons! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 4/5 — Superb App *2018-09-27* The professionally read homilies of Blessed Cardinal Newman serve a critical role in anchoring people to an interior life of prayer and patience. These are daily food for the soul. Only complaint is that in Volume 1, sermons 12-14 do not load. I’ve listened to all of the sermons at least once and most 2-3 times. While written as an Anglican, the late Catholic theologian and fellow convert), Fr. Louis Bouyer, C.O, stated that Newman’s views developed fully as a Catholic, “were in their nascent state in Parochial and Plain Sermons”. This is well worth the small price for over 72 hours of audio in the full version. Amazing value and deeply enriching for all Christians and especially for Catholics. ### 4/5 — Great content, great customer service *2013-12-30, version 1.3* This app has some great sermons of one of the greatest Catholic minds. Three of the four sermons were by the same individual - a man with a slight English accent, very refined and speaking at the just the right modulation and tone for my taste. A quiet, thoughtful-sounding speaker and very appropriate for these sermons. I am not inclined to pay for very many apps, but this resource was just too good to pass by.
