### 5/5 — It’s my favorite app!

*2024-04-10, version 3.7.0*

I love the variety of workouts, the music and the expertise of the instructors. The cardio workouts has made me a better biker, hiker and runner. Thank you Cardio Cast!

### 5/5 — Favorite workout app

*2024-03-14, version 3.7.0*

I have been spinning (and running) with CardioCast since way back in 2017 when it was simply known as CycleCast; I stumbled across a used spin bike for $60 on Craigslist, needed something to get me moving on it, and I’ve never looked back. 7 years later it is a rare week when I don’t do at least one if not 3-4+ workouts just with this app. I have my favorite coaches for sure, but I enjoy pretty universally their style, great music, and motivation. I once read someone complain that the classes weren’t hard enough, but I guess if you feel that way, maybe you should up your resistance. I will also say, I appreciate the motivation while not being over the top. I have access to Peleton since they bought out the Mirror (my other favorite workout app) and I’ve got to tell you, Peleton has NOTHING on these folks. Thank you CardioCast for being here!

If I had one ounce of feedback to give CardioCast - more new classes! It seems as though the pace of new material seems to have slowed dramatically the last few months. As someone who has done all of the classes in several of the categories, I will just keep putting in a plug for more:-)

### 5/5 — Motivational cardio app

*2024-03-10, version 3.7.0*

New bike rider and tried out this app to see if I could manage it. This app offers a variety of coaches to music selections necessary to acquire a great workout. So glad I chose this one among others in the App Store. Great coaches!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2024-02-11, version 3.7.0*

I have had this subscription for years now (I think this is the only subscription app that I have). I love it so much. I mostly do the cycling, yoga stretch, and shorter stretches. If you enjoy working out at home this one is great with lots of variety.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-12-27, version 3.7.0*

This is a great app with great instructors. And great varied workouts. A little bit for everyone

### 5/5 — Please add new classes to spin

*2023-10-28, version 3.6.0*

I’ve been loving this app and mainly use for spin. My bf of 8 yrs was diagnosed with leukemia back in December so I’ve been working out at home due to him being immunocompromised. These classes have kept my sanity and faith in check. I thank the creators and instructors for these classes. All I ask is that there is some new content added because I’ve done every class and need to keep pushing myself. 🧡🧡

### 5/5 — Always happy I got on the bike!

*2023-10-27, version 3.6.0*

Life is busy and it’s easy to skip daily exercise. Coach Jonathan makes the ride challenging and fun. Thank you!

### 5/5 — helped turn my life around

*2023-10-17, version 3.6.0*

I’ve done about 500 rides so far, 90% with Kevin M bc I love his music taste and sense of humor. He even takes music recos and incorporates them into his workouts which is cool. This app has greatly helped my physical and mental health and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it back in 2020.

### 5/5 — Great Alternative

*2023-09-05, version 3.6.0*

Great and affordable alternative. Just audio and good music is all you need.

### 5/5 — Most useful app - maybe EVER!

*2023-09-01, version 3.6.0*

I got this app for the spin classes. Having the ability to access a fantastic spin class on my timeline, not some random class schedule determined by a gym or company, was a game changer. I mean who wouldn’t want to be able to take a class from the amazing Danielle Devine-Baum, any time?! I started exploring the other classes and instructors. The content on this app is top level. These are some of the best instructors in the business and this app gives you access to them at any time and any place. When I travel, I just take my phone to the gym, which I would do anyway, chose a class and go. When I leave, I’ve had a great workout rather than milling around an unfamiliar gym feeling awkward. I hate running with a passion but coach Cedric Green has me happily doing treadmill runs and loving them. I access this app almost daily. It has already paid for itself ten fold and I am in better shape than I have been in a while. Don’t hesitate, this app amazing!

### 5/5 — Personal coaching game changer

*2023-08-09, version 3.6.0*

I’ve hit a life-changing workout streak and have had CardioCast in my ear all along the way. My fave is Jonathan Carlucci’s spin workouts, and the music along with the personal motivation take me back to my favorite in-person spin workouts. The music pumps, the instruction/ coaching guidance is clear. Totally worth the subscription! I’ve just added rowing to my routine and couldn’t have hit the goal markers without the coaches.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App- something for everyone!

*2023-05-30, version 3.6.0*

Five stars! I just finished a 30 minute beats ride with Danielle and it was just perfect - the real motivation for finally writing a review after using the app for 2 years! I use the app for spinning, the elliptical (it’s the only way I can stand it!), the treadmill runs, and the outdoor walk/jogs. There are multiple genres of music, and everything is modifiable if you have limitations. I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Best value. Best quality

*2023-03-20, version 3.6.0*

❤️love

### 5/5 — Professional spin cycle instructors!

*2023-03-11, version 3.6.0*

Every class I have taken has been thoughtfully prepared and the encouragement and coaching is very motivating! Keep up the great work CardioCast!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible Tech and CS

*2026-01-28, version 3.7.1*

I love the audio first focus - I like the coaches a lot.
I had an active year long subscription, but couldn’t log in. Kept saying acct doesn’t exist - I tried to make a new account but couldn’t because “an active account already exists.”

I emailed support and instagram and every contact form. All for nothing. Never got logged back in. So I paid for nothing

There are other companies that allow you to use the subscription you pay for and I highly recommend you use one of them instead.

### 1/5 — No updates/Bad service

*2024-11-26, version 3.7.0*

App hasn’t received an update in over a year and customer service doesn’t exist.

### 2/5 — Instructors are good. Customer support nonexistent

*2024-09-16, version 3.7.0*

Never received a response to 4 messages I sent with issues I was having the first week other than a robo response that my question was received. Can someone just attempt to respond? Makes me think there is no customer support at all.

### 2/5 — Good content, needs UI improvements

*2022-11-29, version 3.6.0*

I was really into this app a few years ago and really loved the content, then the pandemic got me more focused on going outside. Now I’m back in and it seems harder to navigate. Why the weird non-organized image tiles and several categories for spinning based on music? I’d like to search by instructor, exercise type, and focus (hills, intervals, etc). I do still like the audio only format.

### 3/5 — The Best!

*2024-01-03, version 3.7.0*

All around best app for cardio! All kinds of music and fitness levels. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

### 3/5 — Fantastic app and concept but too much talking by the coaches!

*2023-11-01, version 3.6.0*

First, I think this app is wonderful and I love the concept, tech, and overall content. I’ve been taking in person spin/ cycle classes for 25 years and being able to do it at home anytime I want is perfect and game changing for my fitness. My one complaint - which for me, a type A introvert, is a big one - is that the cycling coaches continually talk throughout the workouts. It’s super distracting, frustrating, and interferes with me getting an optimal workout because I can’t just focus on getting into the music and using it to push my body. Yes, I can turn down (or off) the coach volume, which is a great feature, but then there’s no way for me to know when the intervals are changing, the speed which I’m supposed to be at, and if I’m in the saddle or out. Obviously, I downloaded (and paid for) this app because I want a coach to do the prep work of planning the intervals, speed, and optimum heart rate and tell me in the moment when to change them, just like the thousands of in-person classes I’ve done. I don’t need or want any of the “motivational” chatter, though I understand and respect that some people find that chatter helpful and stimulating; for me it has the opposite effect and prevents me from getting a great workout. Can you make a feature that is a written list of just the intervals, timing, pace (RPM and easy, moderate, hard resistance) and body position (seated or standing)? Or ask each of the coaches to do just a few classes where they only give that info during the workout and have all “housekeeping” at the very beginning of the workout, and somehow label these workouts so they’re easy to pick out (maybe label the ones with a lot of talk “motivational”)? That would so appreciated and I would enthusiastically rate the app 5 stars!!

### 3/5 — The okayest cycling workout…

*2022-06-17, version 3.5.4*

It’s okay. I mean it’s better than nothing. I love spin class but the pandemic ruined the availability of live classes near me. I like the workouts better than the Peleton ones at least. But they still aren’t very original or dynamic. Just very…repetitive… It’s been a couple years since I tried this app and while some things have improved, I feel the workouts are even less creative. The thing about this app that bums me out the most is that you can’t rewind or fast forward. If you get interrupted mid workout and you don’t hit pause, the workout continues without you and you can’t go back. Also, when the gym wifi cut out the other day, my workout stalled and I couldn’t get it going. When things got rolling again, the app restored the workout but set it all the way back to the beginning… It’s been super glitchy for me in general tbh. Also, I don’t at all appreciate the workout time estimates. If they say it’s a 45 minute workout, you spend 5 or more minutes listening to the trainer introduce themself and then there’s another 5 minutes of “warmup”. Then the workout ends at the 40 minute mark and the music just plays out after the trainer tells you to stretch at some point. So in reality it’s just a 30 minute workout. The time estimates should be for the actual workout. If the warmups and cool downs aren’t instructional at all, then why not just do them on your own and use the audio for the actual workout?? I dunno… I guess I will keep looking. And oh yeah, it offered me a free 7 day trial and then charged me immediately with no actual trial. Not stoked.

### 3/5 — Log in issue/stop talking so much

*2019-04-16, version 1.2.39*

I use this app almost daily and have to log in EVERY day!!! Very annoying....I have emailed and complained a few times over the past couple months and am always told they are “working on it”.

I also really like the work outs but I guess I prefer that the instructors don’t talk the entire time!!! I don’t need to know what I’m going to be doing 10 min into the workout. Just tell me when we are going to do it and how long I’ll be there. I prefer to enjoy the music more than the instructors chatter. Yes, I know I can turn down the volume of the instructor and turn up the music separately, but then I am constantly playing on my phone during my workout. Just make it simple, cue and quiet until the next change.

Other than that, it’s a good app.

### 4/5 — I Miss CardioCast

*2026-05-27, version 3.7.1*

I’ve been using this app since 2020, and loved the audio workouts. However I re-subscribed in Jan 2026 for a year, and now all of a sudden it’s telling me I don’t have an active account. Support doesn’t exist, no response other than an auto “your message has been received.” I will truly miss this app. I guess I need to file a charge back with my credit card for the rest of my subscription.

### 4/5 — Worth your time and money

*2023-03-08, version 3.6.0*

I’m a 67 year old woman who does not want to go to a gym. Have had my spin cycle for a year and used it occasionally. Couple of weeks ago I tried the 7 day free trial and have since joined. I’ve used the app about 7 times now. I’m hooked. Love the variety of instructors and music. Get a great workout and can get on with my day. Have not tried the walking portion but looking forward to it. Have recommended this to friends.

Been using app for years for spinning. Will keep using for many more.

### 5/5 — My go to….workout

*2026-06-04, version 3.7.1*

Great app NO Screen. I don’t want anyone yelling at me and I only compete with myself. I love the instructors, the music and the choice of workouts! I generally spin because it’s help a lot with my anxiety and I bust a 45 min usually 4-5 days a week. I’m almost 70 and this app helped me through some tough times. Highly recommend this app!!!

*2025-02-06, version 3.7.0*

Every instructor is amazing and educated in spinning ! Better then any gym

### 5/5 — bravo for cyclecast

*2025-02-02, version 3.7.0*

I love this app for $10 you get a nice sweaty workout with a quality instructor. You have a choice of coaches like the gym, but unlike the gym when you only have 20 minutes to ramp up your cardio they have that short option too. I wake up at 410am on the weekdays for CycleCast and the music curation is awesome as well!!
