### 4/5 — Great Tool but have some suggestions

*2026-08-24*

This app is super useful if you like statistics. It keeps track of your speed distance time as well as little stuff like elevation change which I love to track. It tracks how often you ride and goes super detailed if you pay the subscription however it’s not necessary. Some suggestions I have would be number one rework the mapping part of things when it comes to designing routes. I use this app solely for ride tracking and not route planning as it tends to lag on rides and gets very confusing. Maybe even allow the ability to export to Apple and Google Maps after a route has been planned. Number 2 I would love to see a map blip to pair with the new public mesh feature. Essentially I’m suggesting a little rider icon to appear as it would with the already present pack ride system. The difference being the icon would appear on anyone who opts in. Creating a mini map style hud for riding. Long post but I like the app and can see alot of potential.

### 3/5 — Planning is not as good as it could be

*2026-08-23*

I’m planning a trip in September from Co Armagh to Witton castle and even putting waypoints Cardo says it’s too far and won’t let me plan it so I have to break it down into individual trips between stops, when I have done it for 11 years every year so I know it’s not too far. 👎🏼

### 4/5 — Puppy

*2026-08-19*

I like the program for tracking rides and tracking total km just wish when I open on my iPad it would be full screen

### 3/5 — Good idea, but frustratingly limited

*2026-08-17*

Using the pro (paid) version.

The Cardo Ride app has some useful features, but there are frustrating limitations in the way it manages motorcycle profiles.

I accidentally deleted one of my bikes from my garage in app. There appears to be no way to restore the original bike profile, meaning the history associated with that motorcycle was lost. The only apparent solution is to create the bike again as a new profile.

Even more strangely, once a motorcycle profile exists, there doesn't appear to be any way to change its main/cover photograph. You can add photographs to the bike's gallery, but there is no apparent option to select one of those photographs as the primary Garage image. This is particularly odd because your own user profile photograph can be changed quite easily.

These seem like basic profile-management functions that should be straightforward.

Please add the ability to:

Edit or replace a motorcycle's primary/cover photograph.

Restore or recover a deleted motorcycle profile, including its history.

Properly manage photographs associated with a motorcycle.

Also as others have pointed out - privacy should be on by default for each trip and not be down to the user to manually change the settings for each ride.

The underlying app is useful, but these limitations make managing your Garage unnecessarily frustrating.
Hopefully Cardo can address them in a future update.

### 4/5 — Very pleased

*2026-07-03*

Very pleased

**Developer response:** Hi madboy1200! Thanks for the awesome feedback and the 4 stars! We’re stoked to hear that you’re very pleased with "Cardo Ride". 🏍️🔥

Since we always want to improve our line through the corners: Is there anything specific missing that would turn this into a perfect 5-star ride for you? Let us know at support@cardoride.com, or just keep enjoying the asphalt.

Ride safe and catch you on the road! 🏍️

### 2/5 — Needs to work the bugs out

*2026-06-26, version 4.5.3*

Cannot control volume on app. Could not hear directions. It had me turn down a dead end street. It totally missed a detour that was not temporary. Took me onto main drag during “curvy” ride. There was some delay in directions too

### 2/5 — No carplay

*2026-06-25, version 4.5.3*

While Cardo Ride has worked great for my trip planning and tracking I discovered it does not work with my recently purchased CarPlay screen.

### 4/5 — Please add Apple CarPlay

*2026-06-25, version 4.5.3*

This app has everything I need in a navigation app. Groups….curvy routes….auto loop generation…..importing and exporting….3d ride reviews….AWESOME!!

The one thing it’s missing is CarPlay connectivity. I keep my phone in my pocket and I’m tired of running two apps all the time.

5 stars once implemented.

PS. I emailed the dev team.

### 3/5 — Fake 30 day trial

*2026-06-18*

Je me suis inscrit avec un QR code inclus avec mon système Cardo qui disait « Scan for 30 day free pro trial » It’s only 3 day…

**Developer response:** Bonjour Frank.

### 2/5 — Good maps, poor connectivity

*2026-06-14*

Firstly the actual routes this kicks out are great! I just wish it was CarPlay compatible. I used this during my trip to France, and had to rely on the audio as it wouldn’t go through to my Innovv screen. If that gets sorted, I’d definitely continue after the trail

**Developer response:** Hi Wayne! Thanks for the feedback. We're thrilled to hear you loved the routes during your trip to France!

Regarding your point: Cardo Ride actually fully supports Apple CarPlay! If it didn't show up on your Innovv screen, it’s usually due to a connection or settings sync issue between the phone and that specific external display.

We definitely want you to enjoy the full visual experience on your bike. Please drop us a line at support@cardoride.com so our team can help you troubleshoot the connection and get CarPlay running perfectly on your setup.

Ride safe! 🏍️

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-06-13, version 4.5.3*

I live in Northern California, and we have a lot of great back roads that are twisty to tiny little towns and even though you can see them on the map you can’t actually map it out on Cardo Ride ridiculous

### 1/5 — No Yamaha XT225?

*2026-06-11, version 4.5.3*

I was wanting to use this app but it doesn’t have one of my motorcycles: 2000 Yamaha XT225. I know I could still try it… but I would have to call it something else!

### 2/5 — No CarPlay = useless

*2026-06-11, version 4.5.3*

I downloaded this recently and found it very easy to use, however without CarPlay - this is a pointless app. Ill have to find another app that works with CarPlay

### 3/5 — Good route planning, but poor navigation.

*2026-06-07, version 4.5.2*

Good route planner, but poor navigation. Ive just used Cardo Ride on a week long solo trip around Yorkshire and found the route planning side of the app very good for the most part. It took me through some excellent roads that I would not have otherwise have found and I was able to live share my location with family as I was travelling.
The navigation aspect of the app, however, featured some quite big issues.

1. Missing address/postcode. I was not able to search for my home street using either postcode or even by manually typing the address. I had to search for a nearby supermarket and manually drop a pin. I also can’t seem to find a way to set this as my home location, so I have to do this every time. This is a pretty basic thing that most free apps get right.

2. Roundabouts. The instructions for roundabouts are really inconsistent. Several times I would come up on an unfamiliar roundabout and the only information the app would give me was the street name that I needed to exit on. For example, I might need to take the third exit on the A1234 for Newcastle and all the app would tell me is “Green Street”. That isn’t helpful! Tell me the road number so I can follow the road signs, or, better yet, tell me which exit to take! (Or maybe even both at the same time!) This problem was exacerbated by the default zoom level (which the app constantly insisted on reverting back to) being way too close in to see where the route was going before I was already on most large roundabouts and by the next problem:

3. Location Accuracy. Probably the biggest problem with the navigation was that the app was always at least 30-50 yards behind my road position. I missed several turns because they hadn’t yet appeared on screen by the time I was going past them! When there were multiple turns within a hundred yards of each other, I might as well have flipped a coin to pick a turning. At one point where I had missed several turnings in a row, I thought it could have been an issue with the phone’s location services, so switched over to Waze and found that the location on there was extremely accurate, so it is definitely an issue with the app. Again this is a basic thing that most free navigation apps do to have an issue with.

4. Fuel Stops. I don’t know if this is a feature that is in there somewhere and I just haven’t been able to find it, or if it is actually absent. Whenever I was getting low on fuel I had to switch over to Waze to find a fuel station because there were no results for services/fuel/petrol that came up when I searched on the Edit Route screen of the app. Given the type of app this is, there really should be a quick and easy way to search for the nearest fuel station, divert to that, and then return to the preplanned route.

5. Speed limits. I know not to rely on an app for speed limits, but there were multiple occasions this app told me I was in a 60 limit, and it was actually a 40. These weren’t temporary speed limits, and from the looks of the roads and signs they weren’t terribly new either.

Overall this app has some great potential and is great for logging, planning, and sharing my trips but the app’s navigation was probably the most frustrating part of an 850 mile wet and windy trip!
Personally I’m not overly interested in the social media side of it, but I can see why many people would be. That said, the live sharing/tracking of my location is good, and I’ll be using it to plan my next trip. Just *please* sort some of these basic issues out!

### 4/5 — Pas mal

*2026-06-02*

Dommage que ce soit pas en français

**Developer response:** Bonjour Horus39,

Bonne route ! 🏍️

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-05-31*

After reading all the great reviews, I was really disappointed - set myself a super twisty route that didn’t come close to choosing the best riding options. The worst bit for me was the mapping , clunky, the view wasn’t good enough to sense where I was going and where stock apps like Google maps, Waze etc show smooth lines that help you set up for bends …. Cardo was like join the dots. What a shame . Love the idea of the App - just missed the mark

**Developer response:** Hello,

Thank you for sharing your review with us. We are glad to hear that you love the concept of our app, but we are genuinely sorry that your first experience with the super curvy routing and the map display left you disappointed.

We truly value constructive feedback like yours, especially when it comes to the visual flow of the map. Visualizing the road ahead with smooth, natural lines to help riders set up for bends—just like you described—is an area we focused on very heavily during development to ensure a high-quality experience.

We want to make sure we truly understand your experience to keep refining the app. If you are open to it, we would love to hear more details about the specific route or area where the map display felt clunky and the super curvy mode missed the mark. Please feel free to drop us a quick line at support@cardoride.com.

Thank you again for your valuable input, and we hope you'll keep an eye on how Cardo Ride evolves!

Ride safe! 🏍️

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not Worth It

*2026-08-19*

great idea, terrible execution. doesn’t take into account any pertinent information from google or any other service, it will try to take you through impassible “roads” or through completely closed construction areas. not a good app at all, especially since you have to pay for it. complete waste of money.

### 1/5 — Program is not ready for use

*2026-08-18*

Cardo ride is not ready for public use. Even when selecting 3D, it reverts to something that resembles a pencil drawing that is impossible to follow in busy traffic. You should not be charging for this version.

### 1/5 — Son pas terrible

*2026-08-13*

J’ai cru que c’est moi qui n’a pas su régler le son de mon CARDO , finalement non … c’est bien que la qualité n’est pas vraiment au rdv, sans parler des bugs fréquents …

### 1/5 — What a waste of money

*2026-08-13*

The unit doesn’t connect to my phone have never been able to take or make a phone call very disappointing for th $800 I spent on it won’t even charge now . I wouldn’t and don’t recommend this unit

### 1/5 — Not that great.

*2026-07-28, version 4.6.0*

App crashes a lot or freezes during the ride, forcing you to close the app completely and re-launch it and then your trip does not re-launch with the app. There currently is no option to avoid dirt roads or unpaved roads of any type so this app will take you down unpaved roads, dirt roads, minimum maintenance roads, and roads under construction. so if you’re mainly just a street rider this app is not gonna work that great for you.

### 1/5 — Too difficult to use.

*2026-07-20, version 4.6.0*

App is too difficult to use.
Complicated instructions.

### 1/5 — Review before you allow me to see the app?

*2026-07-04, version 4.6.0*

Asked for a review before I was even able to look at the app.

### 1/5 — Limited App

*2026-06-21, version 4.5.3*

The application software is very limited in the functionality

### 1/5 — Cardo, good! Route directing, awful!

*2026-06-21*

Love that it’s part of Cardo, I really want to use it. After planning a circular route and following it for 30 mins, there’s a road closure. I don’t turn off as the route says, I carry on. For some reason, this app sees that as a chance to RESET THE ENTIRE ROUTE and send me somewhere else entirely. This happens every time I do a circular route, if I go the wrong way just once it resets the route length, time, locations visited, all of it. It’s unusable! I just want to be navigated back to the route I was on, not have another one planned that won’t loop me back to where I started!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t find curves

*2026-06-19, version 4.5.3*

Doesn’t know actual curvy roads.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cardo PackTalk Pro is absolutely what I needed and use

*2026-08-29*

I originally had the Freecom 4X, upgraded to the 45mm kit and still felt like I was missing something. THEN Cardo comes out with Crash Detection and had to get to PackTalk Pro for my wife’s sanity and glad I did. Seamless, and the DMC it makes an absolute dream to ride along with new riders without having to worry about who has what Comm, etc. music sounds great, conversations come though clear and everyone can hear what I am saying. Great piece of tech and I’m 52 next week and wonder why we didn’t have this sooner! Great purchase with absolutely no regrets

### 5/5 — The best app out there!

*2026-07-17*

Edit: I beta tested CarPlay and now it’s fully released!!!! Huge kudos to the them. This app has everything I need in a navigation app. Groups….curvy routes….auto loop generation…..importing and exporting….3d ride reviews….AWESOME!!

**Developer response:** Hi IAMRAINBIRD! Thank you very much for your great feedback and the praise for our features like groups, curvy routes, and 3D previews.

We have some great news: Apple CarPlay is now officially available with our latest update!

Our development team has successfully integrated this feature, so you can now leave your phone in your pocket and mirror Cardo Ride directly onto your bike's display. No need to run two apps simultaneously anymore.

Give it a spin on your next ride, and if it works just as you hoped, we would be thrilled if you would consider upgrading your rating.

Ride safe! 🏍️
