## What is Cardzo?

Cardzo replaces the pen-and-paper scorepad. One phone, passed around the table.

Seventy-eight games are built in — Hearts, Rummy, Skat, Belote, Cribbage, Canasta, Whist, Euchre, darts, bowling and dominoes among them — each with the right sheet, the right arithmetic, and the rules on hand when someone disputes a number. Pick a game, add the players, start counting.

BUILT FOR A REAL TABLE

Big numbers you can read from across the table, in bright sun or on a dark terrace. Its own number pad, never the system keyboard, so a four-player round is three taps a person. Nothing to learn: pick a game and the sheet is already the right shape.

EVERY HOUSE RULE IS A SETTING

Your table does not play it the way the box says, and neither does anyone else's. Play to 500 instead of 100. Turn a penalty into a bonus. Change the target halfway through — the whole sheet recalculates, because Cardzo never stores a total it can work out.

Six hundred and forty-nine of these settings across the catalogue, all written out in plain language, because the argument about whether the dealer can make the bids balance should take ten seconds and not ten minutes.

THE SHEET KNOWS THE GAME

A darts leg records all three darts, not just what they added up to, and handles busts and double-outs itself. A trick-taking sheet counts down the cards dealt each round and shows whose turn it is to deal. A scorecard knows which box is still open. A round is never just a blank box.

GAME NIGHTS AND A LEAGUE OF YOUR OWN

Add your friends to a circle and Saturday becomes a season. The host starts a game night, everyone joins with one code from their own phone, and the score follows live on every screen — only the host can touch it. Each finished game feeds the boards: a league table with wins and average position, and a skill rating per game — beating the group's best at Hearts pays more than beating the beginner, and Hearts never mixes with Oh Hell. Every change is explained, opponent by opponent, and any result can be confirmed or disputed with one tap.

RULES IN FIVE LANGUAGES

English, Danish, German, Spanish and French — the interface and every one of the seventy-eight rule sets, written from scratch rather than copied from anywhere.

TOOLS WITHOUT LEAVING THE MATCH

Dice roller with hold-between-rolls, timer, buzzer, coin flip, random picker and team splitter. Open one over a live sheet and nothing is lost.

UNDO ANYTHING

Every entry, every settings change, every player added mid-match. With a note saying what it was you just undid.

THE SCOREPAD NEEDS NO ACCOUNT

Keeping score requires no sign-up and no internet — that part of Cardzo works in a field with no signal, forever, and your matches live on your phone. Playing ranked is an optional extra: sign in with Apple, and only your display name and the matches your table chooses to rank are stored, on servers in the EU. Delete the account from inside the app at any time. Still no ads, no analytics, no tracking.

Cardzo is a score keeper, not a game. It does the counting so the table can keep playing.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-09-29

Cardzo 2.3 puts every phone at the table on the same sheet.

• Join a game night with just your name, no Apple ID needed. You can keep your profile with Apple later, circles and matches included.
• Everyone at a game night follows the sheet live on their own phone and types their own score into their own column. The host's phone keeps the sheet and can undo anything.
• Casual games at a game night are live too, not only ranked ones.
• New game: Turtle King.

### 2.2 — 2026-09-10

Cardzo 2.2 keeps the counting exactly as it was and tidies the edges around it.

• Privacy policy, terms of use and contact now live under Settings › About, and the Sign in with Apple button says what signing in stores before you tap it.
• Deleting your account explains what stays with your circle and how to have your name removed.
• Small text is easier to read: captions have more contrast in both light and dark.
• A game night's live sheet is cleared from the server when the host ends the match early.
• When the server cannot be reached, sign-in says so instead of "did not complete", with the error code underneath.

### 2.1 — 2026-09-03

Cardzo 2.1 — a small follow-up to 2.0, released the same day. Nothing changes in the scorepad. In case you missed it, 2.0 brought:

• Circles: add your friends, one code, and separate groups stay separate.
• Game nights: the host opens the evening, everyone else joins with one code from their own phone — and every match knows who played.
• The live sheet: only the host can edit; the whole table watches from their own phones.
• Ranked, per game: a rating for every game — never mixed — plus a season league table with wins and average position.
• Every change explained, opponent by opponent.
• One-tap confirmations, disputes, and instant counting on game nights.
• Three new games — seventy-seven in all — and 649 house-rule settings.
• Keeping score still needs no account and no internet.

### 2.0 — 2026-09-03

Cardzo 2.0 — game night, counted.
