You can now easily run diagnostics on your enrolled device when you purchase a plan within this program. If your plan is eligible, you have a generous 10-day window from the Plan Purchase Date to complete the diagnosis. To begin the diagnosis, you must receive a valid activation code via email. Once received, you can begin the diagnostic process. You'll need a second smartphone or tablet to capture images of your enrolled device for the diagnosis. They ask to evaluate the device, but it's obvious that another device is needed to take the photos and information they request. However, this app only works with Samsung. Samsung messed up my order, so I had to re-purchase Samsung Care after receiving my phone, and had to download this app on a different device to take pictures of my phone. The instructions in the app are self-contradictory (e.g., fold the phone and take a picture of the bottom side open), and the whole process is inconvenient, and something I've never had to do in decades of owning Apple products. I'm still within the return period for my phone, so if my submission for my brand new spotless phone isn't "approved", I may just return the phone and get an iPhone now. Update - Day 2: Received an email saying my pictures were "blur" and asked me to send a 20MB mp4 video (note: if you just shoot a video with your favorite device, it will not be 20MB or less, and it will not be in mp4 format). After calling and spending 31 minutes on hold, I learned that the video has to be sent as an attachment, not a link. So, I re-shot the video several times, downloaded a video compression app on my iPad to compress the video, used VLC to convert it from MOV to mp4 and remove the audio, and managed to get it under 20MB to send to them. In short, if you didn't get Samsung Care when you ordered your device, return it and re-order it with Samsung Care - it'll be easier (or, don't buy from Samsung).
