Don’t be fooled by the 20dhs day pass! If you don’t return the bike to the dock before 45 minute you’ll be charged extra! I’ve been charged over 160 derham and my friend 40 derham extra. There is nothing on the app to tell you what is the extra charges and me and my friend got the bike at the same time and we return it at the same time. So why I've been charged that much? Be warned that if you sign up for an account to use their bikes with a foreign number that they may send multiple codes to verify your device. This seems to trap the app in a loop where you will not be able to log in as it will keep on requiring a new code. Customer service is useless as they will just tell you that multiple sign on attempts violate their terms and conditions and you will need to log in from a different device as the current one will be blocked. Tried from a second device, same result. Pathetic. Good reliable bike with reasonable price , however why should I have to return a bike every 45 minutes ? This is so stupid system , I was so concern about finding next station , my over all ridding experience was so stressful . You don’t want to be charged additional 10 AED if you exceed 45 min ride . This is like renting a car and then you need to return the car every 45 min . If you want to charge people extra money then put price per hour . I rather to get any bike than renting Kareem bike. It won’t let me add a CC saying error occurred. Restarted the app. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Restarted the phone. I will give 0 stars. The app has few buttons to access and none of the buttons is « emergency ». Thé bikes are good, but some are not working properly, so you might have to experiment a few times before going on your ride. The subscription plans are great. One day is 20 AED, 1 week is 50 AED, 1 month 75 AED. If you do bike often; it will be good to take for more. However, you get charged 10 AED for every additional 30 minutes after the first 45 minutes. The main reason this application and company fails is because of the lack of maintenance, support and emergency contact. Imagine you have a flat tyre situation suddenly. Or something broke down. What do you do? Fill out a form that they will reply to you after days. And the metre will continue to count your minutes. So by the time they respond to you, you will probably be paying over hundreds if not thousands. M’y issue was: I returned the bike to the dock. The metre didn’t stop. I tried to remove the bike from the dock, to place it somewhere else. But, it couldn’t get out, either. In short, it was stuck but the metre was ongoing. I called the police. Hoping they will figure something out, but they couldn’t. They told me « shouldn’t there be emergency number » and guess what? There isn’t. So if you’re trapped in a situation; that’s it. You’re just going to get robbed. This application and the service shouldn’t exist without an emergency number or without contestant maintenance. The app has problems. I spent over an hour trying to link my credit card to my account. Apple Pay is not available on it. And it rejects all of my physical cards. But - Careem taxi works fine for me and payments work - just not on Careem Bike. Why is this app so broken?
