Works really well for anything that can be easily fixed with a Rx or to find out whether you really need to go to the ER. I have used this app a handful of times and haven’t had any idiot doctors on here. Unlike urgent care, these doctors won’t automatically send you to the ER if you have anything more than a scrape. I often prefer the convenience of being able to see a doc when I am awake at 3am and can’t sleep than waiting till 9am to try to schedule a same day appointment with my PCP for later that afternoon. And if you do need to go to the ER, going at 3am usually means you get seen pretty much right away. If you wait till 5pm, you might be waiting for 6 hours or more. ### 5/5 — Really helpful *2023-09-16* And saved us a ton of time. Best case we would have gone for a walk in at the doctors office. Would take about an hour. Worse case we go to the local urgent care. 4 plus hours! Having a physician to address your needs 24 hours a day is amazing. I have claustrophobia and I have to have an MRI done in the morning early. It’s a 2 Hour Dr. from my home Dr. Babalola was extremely compassionate, professional, and informative everything one would hope for from a physician. I appreciate her time and even her well wishes for my health. She was exceptional better than I even expected, she’s definitely a 5star doctor. ### 2/5 — No *2023-09-12* Carefirst insurance in general is extra scammy, but we are here to talk about the app. Their app promotes how you will see the price of the appointment before you start the appointment but when I had an appointment today the ‘appointment cost’ screen popped up for half a second and then progressed to the next screen. Before I know it, I was starting my appointment so I have no idea how much this appointment is going to cost me. I have carefirst insurance so you would think since I loaded my insurance information in the app, appointment copay/cost wouldn’t be neglected. I quit using this app a year or two again but tried it again today bc I was sick and it was ‘convenient’. Last year I was getting bills for appointments 10 months after my initial appointment. Looks like I’m in for another surprise bill July 2024 since I paid nothing today. I’ve used other teledoc apps that are much better than this app which is a shame. You would think using the official teledoc app for my insurance company would have some type of advantages I can’t find elsewhere. The provider I saw today was short in conversation and juuust helpful enough to make the appointment worth the frustration of using the app. App is bad. Providers are bad. ### 5/5 — Super easy and fast *2023-08-31* My provider was very easy to talk to and answered any questions I had. She prescribed the exact medication (prednisone) that has alway been effective at treating my asthmatic bronchitis in the past! The video visit is so much easier and safer than sitting in an urgent care clinic with all of the other patients being seen for possible contagious illnesses!! Highly recommend!! ### 5/5 — Online visit *2023-07-23* Dr Nelson was great talking with me about the UTI I have,they should voice the fact that if you are a male and have a UTI,they can not do anything for you,because it’s unusual for males and they don’t have a urine sample,which this is out of his control,it should be the ones who set up the o lines Dr visits to let you know this up front,this way you don’t lose $59 which it says you can cancel and not be taken out of you account,but mine was taking the minute I hit submit,The Dr was very good and very knowledgeable of what I need to do next,and i explained that we have done this for the last 2 yrs,they go away after antibiotics but always come back 6months or so later,it’s always the same thing,ecoli,and they don’t know what is causing it to come back,but I have about came to the conclusion that it’s something that I will have to live with off and on for the rest of my life,I have been to urologists,had scopes done,everything I was told to do,so anyway Dr Nelson was a great Dr,just couldn’t help me because on the rules and me being a male with a UTI,only down fall I see is on the people who have you waiting to see the dr,they should let you know what they can’t treat before your money is taken,God Bless ### 5/5 — Just who I needed *2023-07-21* Toni is such a blessing to me. In one session she helped me more than I could of ever imagined. She gave me the strength to work through my problems and emotions. I love that she is faith based, me being a christian and knowing God is on this journey with me gives me hope that I can and will eventually be ok. God bless you! ### 4/5 — App *2023-06-19* Great app but the only thing I don’t like is how they have the waiting room set up you have to wait and watch your phone to see when the provider will join versus getting a call or text beforehand that the provider is ready( that’s how the other app worked) . I also wish there was an option for video or voice I don't always want to be on camera . Other than that I’ve had good experiences the few times I have called and I do appreciate having this feature available to me. ### 1/5 — No *2023-06-08* If you have CareFirst insurance and don’t live in Maryland prepare to have tons of surprise out of pocket expenses. First of all nobody knows what Carefirst is. Anything you’re told in the app or over the phone by carefirst staff means nothing or as carefirst puts it ‘is only an estimate and does not guarantee coverage’. Carefirst staff will try to assist you but at the end of the day if they give you wrong information and nothing happens to them while you get stuck paying hundreds of dollars in surprise expenses. You could record the entire conversation where you got wrong information from CareFirst and you still have to float the bill because they already told you their words and tools mean nothing. Don’t take my word for it. Watch your claims over the years and find out for yourself. I’m glad to see this app has gotten better over the years. My experience with Carefirst coverage has not. Oh one more thing, don’t be surprised when you get bills from appointments you had 10 months ago. Hopefully for your sake you didn’t have a bunch of those same appointments and the bills are racked up. ### 5/5 — Quick and efficient *2023-02-10, version 12.17.003* Over the years I have had several teledoc providers due to my employment changing.
