### 2/5 — Concept Great, Quality… Leaves Desire

*2026-06-30, version 1.64.1*

The concept of having a hub is great, but the actual app crashes and just doesn’t load. I’ll get a notification, do Face ID, and then it just freezes. It’s happened for over a year, even after the most recent update.

On another note, it would be nice to search doctors within the app.

### 2/5 — Love the concept hate the app!

*2026-04-02, version 1.64*

You can never seem to attest and get your points. You enter the info and it doesn’t add your points. This app gets worse EVERY year!

### 3/5 — Experience

*2026-03-18, version 1.63*

Not very user friendly. Crashes a lot.

### 3/5 — App feedback - Login

*2024-08-23, version 1.53*

No reason why approximately once a month the app forces you to sign back in and go through the process of seemingly resetting your PIN, especially since utilizing the app daily.

### 1/5 — There’s no icon to get support

*2024-02-20, version 1.47*

For days I’ve been trying to select my PCP but the app is in a perpetual loading screen. But everything works fine up until that moment. The App Store says to click the gear icon in the app to get support. But there isn’t a gear icon in the you section or anywhere in the app. There’s no way to fix the issue.

### 1/5 — No point

*2024-01-10, version 1.46*

This app only makes you sign up to get prompted to download another app that you have to download and create an account for. I cant access any information in the app because if you try to bypass the prompt to download another app, it signs you out. Does literally nothing the app claims

### 1/5 — Won't sync

*2024-01-06, version 1.46*

App hasn't synced with Apple Health since July 2023.

### 1/5 — Very frustrated

*2023-10-20, version 1.44.0*

Can’t sign in because I get hijacked by ShareCare every time.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2023-10-06*

App seems to be little more than a wrapper for the mobile site. Unfortunately, the app functions worse than the mobile site. Frequent crashes, logging out, no credential retention or Face ID, and repeated MFA requirements.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to review the CareFirst Wellbeing app. I'm sorry about the issue you encountered with the app. We request you to upgrade the app to OS greater than 14. If you have any more issues, please email us at customersupport@sharecare.com and our team will research your request and get back to you.

### 2/5 — Well-being tracker issues

*2023-09-12, version 1.43.0*

The Well Being Tracker won’t record my entries. It’s costing my Billion Steps Challenge team because I can’t add my steps.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Broken

*2025-12-10, version 1.62.2*

The app sends me notifications, but I can’t get it to open. Just hangs after taking my faceid.

### 1/5 — Where are my benefits, BCBS?

*2025-08-15, version 1.61*

Seriously, I’ve went through three different login portals and two different password resets and an app install and I STILL don’t know if the stupid health insurance plan that I’m required to have comes with, at least, a gym membership.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2025-07-27, version 1.61*

I’ve had the app for a little over a week now. Crashes all the time. Most of the time it doesn’t even open. Impossible to use.

### 1/5 — Buggy. Terrible

*2025-07-21, version 1.60*

I have to restart the app every time I switch function on the in-app menu. This version is aweful.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2025-07-19, version 1.60*

I have created an account but can not continue until the share care account links and they will not link. So no matter what I do. I cannot access my care first. Why do I need 2 separate apps for 1 account. Waste of time.

### 1/5 — FRUSTRATED

*2025-05-23, version 1.59.1*

I have had problems with this app and ShareCare. I have tried every fix with this app. Once it opens it takes me directly to settings and as soon as I close it the app completely shuts down. As for the ShareCare app that is worse. GOOD LUCK WITH THEIR TECH SUPPORT. I have been waiting 2 weeks for “some one to get back to me”. Don’t call them because they just take your information and say they will email you. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. So I can’t use either program and now have to opt out. I know my employer paid a lot of money to participate. WHAT A WASTE!

### 1/5 — Share Care app

*2025-02-10, version 1.57*

This app just directs me to download share care app. No idea why the programs and advertisements insists to download this instead of share care directly.

### 1/5 — Hard to navigate

*2025-01-10, version 1.57*

It’s very hard to navigate and to find what I need. It needs to be simplified.

### 1/5 — All useless junk

*2024-07-12, version 1.52.0*

The profound arrogance of having anything other than my insurance ID information - which I need for any healthcare. Every stock photo in this app was taken with an expensive camera, and every program built with expensive software, all purchased with money that should be in my pocket.

### 1/5 — Just wants me to download Sharecare

*2024-04-09, version 1.49.0*

This app appears not to work at all. It only gives the option to download Sharecare or quit. Pretty useless.

### 5/5 — Expensive

*2024-07-23*

I had carefirst for a couple years and they are the biggest insurance scam I’ve ever experienced. Carefirst has a nice sales pitch but then you come to find out patients, I mean customers who actually pay for their dysfunctional insurance plan can expect high unexpected costs with subpar benefits. The app is horrible. The customer support has long wait times (except for sales which you get right though). The coverage is confusing and calling to verify coverage still has no guarantee you have coverage. I hope you don’t have to file a claim, appeal or grievance because you will have to mail it to carefirst. Not email, not fax just mail and your mail will probably get lost. Use certified mail. Carefirst has lost 3 of the 4 things I had to mail to them. Luckily I knew they were scam artists so I referenced the certified mail delivery and carefirst staff decided to search their garbage cans extra hard and found my appeals, claims and grievances. Don’t walk away from Carefirst, run. Have you ever gone to an in network dentist and then received an out of network bill because the dentist was in network but their office wasn’t? How about having an in network teledoc appointment and then receiving an out of network lab bill for the bloodwork associated with that appointment? Labsork is out of network because the in network provider you saw for your teledoc appointment lives in a different state than you do and carefirst bases their lab work coverage on the residence of the provider. It’s your insurance coverage. You should have known the appointment is in network and the lab won’t be because lab work claims go off NPI residency. If you call carefirst to make sure you have in network coverage they will tell you all information given to you might not be accurate. Nice way to avoid all responsibility carefirst. Its impossible to know your coverage when carefirst isn’t even confident in telling you what’s in network.
These are the types of games CareFirst plays with their dental and medical claims. Their app is trash just like everything else about Carefirst. Don’t believe me? Try it out for yourself. If you’re healthy and don’t use your insurance, you shouldn’t have any problems with them. Your problems aren’t a priority for Carefirst. You're just a number to them. I have a $1,000 out of pocket lab bill associated with a teledoc wellness exam. It’s preventative care but somehow carefirst was able to put the claim out of network and pay less than 10% of the total bill. I hate carefirst and their stupid app. Don’t get bloodwork if it’s ordered from their teledoc providers.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to review the CareFirst Wellbeing app and for your feedback! Any improvement suggestions will be passed on to our internal teams for consideration. ### 5/5 — Review

*2024-07-13, version 1.52.0*

I love this app so easy to navigate and it’s so helpful when you need it most!

### 5/5 — Jclax

*2024-04-29, version 1.49.0*

My coach is very helpful and attentive to my health needs and very supportive as well as understanding how I operate to get better results.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2024-02-23, version 1.47*

This is a great app. I am really accomplishing my fitness goals with it.

### 4/5 — Love the app and features!!

*2025-04-14, version 1.57*

I love the RealAge questionnaire and the results- Eye opening!! The program with videos to relax and professionals who give advice.. just one thing that I find annoying is the podcasts. I am deaf and there are no captions or anything.

### 4/5 — Ok

*2024-02-28, version 1.47*

This is okay as long as you don’t have a surgery for whatever reason. It doesn’t update prescription medication or circumstances, you have to do that yourself. Aside from those things, it’s pretty good.

### 3/5 — Confusing

*2026-03-26, version 1.63*

This app is confusing. I went to sign up for a virtual challenge and it had download the share care app and when I did I had to go back to the wellbeing app to complete the process. That’s way too much and the challenges flyer mentioned none of this. I had to call customer for assistance.
