## Newest reviews (20 of 134)

### 2/5 — Data sharing

*2026-05-28, version 3.8.0*

Sharing data with family members shouldn’t be so difficult. It’s ridiculous.

### 2/5 — Irresponsible performance for a medical app

*2026-04-20, version 3.7.0*

This app is absolutely terrible for a medical app that provides connection between caregivers and their children. It requires constant logins and disconnects all the time requiring a lengthy and cumbersome login with no alternatives. There is no Face ID login option or even a PIN login option and the app logs you out constantly. It is irresponsible for a company that produces medical devices to not provide a more streamlined option to stay connected to vital information they need to keep their child safe or monitor their blood sugar and insulin levels under the guise of "security".

### 3/5 — No data from partner after update to iOS 26.4.1

*2026-04-10, version 3.7.0*

After going from iOS 26.4 on iPhone to 26.4.1, I no longer receive data for my partner. Tried uninstall and reinstall of app, and resetting network settings, but neither of those worked.

Other open issues that need a solution:

1. I fully agree with the other reviewer comment about making you pick the person you are following when you follow only one person. An annoying usability issue.

2. Integration with watchOS is needed. It is quite annoying when I receive alerts on my watch, and when I dismiss them, they pop up every 30 - 60 seconds until I go to the app on my phone to acknowledge them. This is rather annoying when my phone is not in immediate reach, and is especially annoying when I am driving and cannot fool around with my phone.

3. Quite often, I stop getting notifications altogether. When I go to the app, it appears to restart (maybe it crashed?), and then I have a bunch of notifications to clear. Am I the only one reporting this?

### 3/5 — Urgent update needed

*2026-02-11, version 3.6.0*

This app is great for the pump. update for the latest Iphone software is needed. It’s constantly logging me out and making it difficult to keep track of my daughter’s sugar levels.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-01-24, version 3.6.0*

Use to be able to sign in. When I sign in it says it’s the wrong type of account and I need a care partner account, but when I try to create one it says there already is an account. I have no way to use this app

### 1/5 — User interface is garbage from the get-go

*2026-01-23, version 3.6.0*

I have just spent an hour trying to set this account and the Medtronic Minimed mobile app and am ready to delete them both. You need this app to get the software update to use the new Abbot sensors but it won’t let me use the same username or even email to from the Minimed mobile app to create this account (got an error both trying to log in initially and then to set up a new account.) This is not user friendly at all and there is zero help in the online or print documentation regarding this. 0/10 Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — Very user unfriendly

*2026-01-09, version 3.6.0*

This app is wildly complicated and from going from Dexcom and freestyle data to this? I hate the graph layout

### 1/5 — doesn’t work

*2025-12-28, version 3.6.0*

not only does it always logs me out but now i click into the app it’s permanently on white screen. nothing loads

### 2/5 — App Closes Overnight

*2025-12-12, version 3.6.0*

This App has been a key component for two of us parents providing oversight for our son’s diabetes management. However, after a recent iOS update it now closes itself regularly, which defeats its utility, and sets up a potentially dangerous situation. PLEASE FIX THIS!

### 1/5 — Diabetics be careful, parents do not use!!!!

*2025-10-26, version 3.6.0*

I loved this app at first. It told me my blood sugar and the stats which was really nice. After a while, I would have to keep logging in multiple times a day. On top of that, it killed my phone battery. I only used it occasionally when I had my phone in my hands. After a while, I just quit using it. Currently, I am out hunting and looking on my phone would be easier than trying to dig it out from beneath all my cold weather cloths. It says I have to log in and when I do, it tells me to make a care partner account. When I make a care partner account, it tells me I have an account already and send me back to the beginning. Now, I have to tell my doctor I cannot download my pump remotely for check ups. If you are a parent and have a diabetic kid, do not use or this could be harmful or even deadly to your kid if you monitor them with this app.

This app should help diabetics

### 3/5 — Alert noise too quiet

*2025-10-25, version 3.6.0*

Even with volume all the way up, it is difficult to hear at night when sleeping. Could we get some optionality with alert sound?

Also, super tired of getting logged out with every update. This doesn’t happen with other app updates.

### 1/5 — Cannot log in after update

*2025-09-29, version 3.6.0*

This app is terrible for partners trying to help with monitoring blood sugars for those with diabetes. It disconnects all the time, takes multiple clicks just to open the graph (even if you’re only monitoring one account), and after the recent update (as of 9/29/25) the log in button doesn’t work. The app is a brick.

### 1/5 — This app is terrible!

*2025-09-24, version 3.6.0*

We love the pump itself, but the app is terrible. It keeps logging me out, and sometimes I can’t log back in. I have no idea what my daughter’s reading is while she is at school. The app has logged me out again, and there’s no way to fix it. I wish there was a better way!

### 1/5 — Sinks

*2025-08-16, version 3.5.0*

Not worth 2.5 stars it sinks

### 2/5 — STOP LOGGING ME OUT!!!

*2025-07-14, version 3.5.0*

I love the idea of this app. I enjoy passively monitoring my partners blood sugar and checking on her overnight without disturbing her sleep, or knowing if I should get her a drink with carbs or not without having to ask her.

However, I am absolutely sick of this app logging me out every few days. My partner went low last night and I didn’t get a notification, only to wake up in the morning to it being an issue.

When it works, it’s great - plenty of ways to customize your notifications. It would be perfect if I didn’t get logged out every time there’s an update or hotfix, or whatever is going on.

### 1/5 — User and PW very often

*2025-07-10, version 3.5.0*

Since the last update, now you have to enter the username and password very often, honestly they have damaged the application.

### 2/5 — Redundant notifications

*2025-07-01, version 3.5.0*

In theory, I love this app. However, PLEASE for the love of all that is good, make it to where I can acknowledge and dismiss a notification from my watch please. Also I’m BEGGING you to make some type of way for notifications to stop if they’re no longer applicable or if the diabetic in question has addressed the event. I can understand if a parent monitoring a young child would want the notifications to continue, but I can trust my husband can be trusted to not dismiss an alert because he’s annoyed. Maybe it can be addressed in the settings or something where users can choose what they’re comfortable with. At this point though, I’m desensitized to just about any notifications from Medtronic now because almost every one that shows up is something that’s already been addressed and resolved. Desensitizing users to the alerts your app provides is counterintuitive to the app’s purpose and is extremely frustrating.

### 2/5 — Frustrating

*2025-06-30, version 3.5.0*

When it’s working it is fine but it disconnects often and then takes forever to reconnect. If you delete the app and try to reinstall it good luck!!! I can’t get back in.

### 2/5 — VERY DISAPPOINTING

*2025-06-10, version 3.5.0*

The Medtronic pump is wonderful! I wish I was reviewing that. Regarding the app… Positives are that it’s better than having nothing, but that’s a pretty low bar. The app is fine when it’s working. Problem is, it constantly logs us out which largely defeats the purpose of the app. It won’t stay signed in overnight so we don’t hear alerts. When I go to check the girls’ blood sugars in the morning, I’m not logged in. I have to login again, then I can see their numbers. But by mid to late morning, it’s logged out again. Same in the afternoon, same in the evening. (Secondarily, the app does not use Face ID, nor is it compatible with the Passwords app. I have to open Passwords EVERY TIME in order to log in!) Even when logged, I gave up on the alerts because there are too many and it’s too complicated to program them to be of any use. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I’m glad our girls are old enough to manage the pumps themselves for the most part, otherwise the way this app fails to allow us to monitor them effectively, we probably couldn’t use the Medtronic pump.

### 2/5 — New update

*2025-06-08, version 3.5.0*

I received an email saying to update my app. I did that on May 24, 2025 now I can not see my daughter’s information on my phone. Her minimed mobile app on her phone is working just fine. Feeling frustrated…..

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App is riddled with bugs

*2026-06-15, version 3.8.0*

App is constantly telling me my partner’s pump is disconnected and it can’t read their blood sugar. However, when I open the app, it show their correct blood sugar (verified on their pump) and is updating perfectly. This app is constantly sending false signals, which gets very annoying because it won’t stop until you physically open the app and verify that the blood sugar is being displayed.

### 1/5 — Login every time I open the application

*2026-05-08, version 3.8.0*

This is horrible
I have to login every time I open the application
And the password is very complex by the police

And the SMS doesn’t send the value of the sugar in the blood

### 1/5 — The Definition of AI Slop before there was AI

*2026-04-15, version 3.7.0*

I'm not sure what set of programmers you dragged out of the muck somewhere that pays a dollar per hour, but you really need to get some new programmers.

And what do you have running your servers? Bunch of gerbils on exercise wheels? You guys make app changes and all you ever do is break things. Nothing actually changes in the app.

If it wasn't for third-party apps, your pump would be the most useless POS there is.

### 1/5 — Concern !

*2026-04-12, version 3.7.0*

No data still on app so I can see wife’s sugar etc or sensor info it’s ok on her pump etc & I did receive a email about a outage from Medtronic but come on now that was awhile now

### 1/5 — No data

*2026-04-12, version 3.7.0*

I monitor my mother all day and for 3 days now I’m not receiving any data. This is ridiculous. She’s 87 and needs help monitoring her sugar. When we try calling we are told there are high call volume and that she will be called back. We have put several calls in and got one Callback and was told to be patient. That was three days ago and now we can’t even get in touch with anyone.
This is very troubling to us. When we first got this system, we had no problem getting in touch with someone now we can’t even get a call back.

### 1/5 — App shut down

*2026-04-11, version 3.7.0*

Fix your damn all!!! It’s been down for 3 days!! My daughter fell low and didn’t know till I heard faint beeping in another room and you have failed to keep us updated and fixing the issue!!!!!! Your app doesn’t even have a timer to go off if the app isn’t working after a certain amount of time!!! Horrible customer service by the at!!!!

### 1/5 — iPhone 13

*2026-04-04, version 3.7.0*

Bad . Bad . Bad . Disconnect login (user) after 15 min. Every 15 min connect login and pass.

### 1/5 — Pump

*2026-02-24, version 3.6.0*

Medtronic customer service is close to none. Can’t get a hold of them to replace faulty equipment, especially new sensors.
Try alternatives if you’re able.

### 1/5 — Keeps logging me out

*2026-02-24, version 3.6.0*

The app keeps logging me out and it’s difficult to monitor my kid’s blood sugar, its very annoying and stressful

### 1/5 — Why do I have to log in every time?!!!

*2026-02-07, version 3.6.0*

Every time I use this app I have to sign in. It doesn’t give me notifications when my wife is low anymore because it logs me out. I wouldn’t mind if it was financial info but this is blood sugar. I should be able to decide if I trust my password protected phone to have easy access to this info. Not to mention you cannot use Face ID to make it easier to log in. THE APP WONT EVEN REMEMBER WHAT COUNTRY I AM IN!!!! This app has become completely useless.

The people who made this app useless need to go to app hell.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2025-04-01, version 3.4.1*

Excelente

### 5/5 — The screen in my app is black and doesn't show numbers. Can you please help me fix it?

*2024-11-15, version 3.2.1*

not working

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-05-29, version 3.2.1*

Let me preface my 5 star rating. I don’t use the alarms in the app. I let my pump alert me. I have no need for family members to see my data. These seem to be the major complaints of other users.
The good: This app uploads automatically once a day to carelink. I like being able to see the graph of my blood sugars and being able to see the automatic boluses and basal and when the basal is being suspended. It helps me analyze the timing of boluses and eating to see how it affects my blood sugar.

### 5/5 — T1D-MammaBear

*2024-05-23*

This app was great in the beginning but it recently stopped sending my phone alerts! If I don’t manually check the app I have no clue what my son’s BG is. I get this when I click on the alert icon “Notifications are disabled. Tap settings to allow notifications “ When I tap it takes me to the Siri settings for the app with Zero options for notifications. Also there is no settings in notification and it does not appear in celular app refresh settings. Also it has always lagged about 10 minutes from my sons actual info.

**Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear this. Our technical support team would like to see if they can help. Please give them a call at 800.646.4633 option #1, at your convenience.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2024-05-08, version 3.2.1*

Awesome helpful

### 5/5 — Awesome app update

*2023-05-09*

So, I had left a review about the app only supporting/following one diabetic patient. I also emailed Medtronic and the app support group about this issue. I am extremely pleased with their response! They updated the app and now I can follow multiple people at the same time! Thank you to the Medtronic team and app developers! We really appreciate you listening to our requests! The school nurse will now be able to follow multiple kids with Medtronic devices. Thank you so much!

**Developer response:** We're thrilled to see your update!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!!

*2021-08-26, version 2.2.0*

I absolutely love this app. It is such a comfort knowing that I can see how my child is doing at anytime of the day (or night)!

The one that that could make it better is if I had it on my Apple Watch.

### 5/5 — Keeping my sister safe

*2021-05-24, version 2.1.1*

The app works awesome as long as you keep it updated. It alerted me when my sister was not responding to her low alert and she didn’t have low suspend enabled, so I called her and she was taking a nap! Her cat was trying to wake her up too. So thankful for this tech!

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing this with us! We're glad everyone is safe

### 4/5 — Apple Watch and Widget Please!!

*2024-09-17, version 3.2.1*

The app is fine - it is very helpful to keep an eye on my kid while at school. Please please please - can there be an Apple Watch complication so I can get the numbers on my watch. The main app that links to the pump has this so I am not sure why this one does not.

Also, would be nice if there was a widget option for the Home Screen as well. Anything to make it easier for daily management would be great. These seem like basic app functions.

### 4/5 — Positive Experience

*2024-05-09, version 3.2.1*

I wish it was easier to share this information with family in case of lows or extreme highs, so they can be in informed ICE.
