Then there’s the biggest complain I have, which is the play location doesn’t sync with the phone, so if I am listening to a Podcast and got out of the car half way, the Podcast app does’t know the last played position. I can understand why this behavior exist, but what’s weird is that whenever I launch CarMediaPlayer again and want to continue my Podcast, it started all the way from the beginning. ### 2/5 — Works *2014-08-02, version 1.7.2* Still no clock on the display. How hard is it to add a clock, how much cell service you have and how much battery life on your phone? I have high hopes for this product and I can't wait to see what it becomes. ### 3/5 — Music videos *2014-02-08, version 1.7.2* Nice looking app, easy to navigate, was initially very excited about the app until i realized that Music videos won't work in a playlist format. They filter to the video section and I have to select one after the other. As you can imagine this is extremely annoying as they are only 4 minutes long. Wish I never upgraded to the iPhone 5. The 4s was great. Spent over $100 in cables to adapt AVIC-z140bh to work with the lightning connection so I could watch the 200 music videos I've purchased from iTunes over the years. I won't buy anymore till someone figures this out. I also agree that the clock needs to remain on the screen. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2013-12-11, version 1.7.0* I was not able to make this product work with my iphone 5 and appradio 2. I updated the radio, wasted lots of money on wiring, and yet I still don't have a working player. I spent 2 hours on the phone with pioneer and they could not help me. They blame apple. Absolutely garbage. I will never purchase another pioneer product ever again. What's the point of an iPod icon on home screen and you can't control your music, Pioneer. It's glitchy and slow for iphone5. I run a clean iPhone OS and can promise you that this app doesn't work. You'll open it. The app radio2 will hang on a blank screen. The app will take you to the home screen on your phone and that's it. Exit, restart, reinstall do nothing. This app is completely garbage. Apple needs to issue refunds on things like this. This is all too common with the appradio. ### 2/5 — Crash crash crash!!! *2012-09-24, version 1.4.0* I have always bought a Pioneer for my car but it seems that his time Pioneer was a little to in a hurry to roll out the Car media app and AppRadio app for iphone . Car Media app crashes everytime on video playback( not enough beta testing i suppose) and on the AppRadio app my Igo nav does not work, keep asking me to buy addon from the innapp store.... The appstore says just .... addons not available....... Cmon Pioneer this Iphone / radio merger could ger you way ahead of the competition but without working software there is nothing to gain on this battle field you want to get onto. Pioneer first get you battle gear ready before heading into war. As soon as I got an iPhone 6, I noticed the display changed ever so slightly. It was a good looking change, but for some reason it took 5 seconds to skip forward a song, and couldn't even go back a song. That went on for about a day, now it won't even work. I reset my phone, tried both AppRadio and CarMedia Player, it just won't work. Bluetooth doesn't even properly connect. Waze integrates perfectly but the pioneer apps always require you to acknowledge the connection. Pain in the rear! And please, please, put the clock on the screen. It can't be this complicated to play video from my iPad and iphone when I paid $150 for the necessary cables to do so through my pioneer deck. If this a software issue it needs to fixed ASAP. Otherwise, I've completely wasted my money. ### 1/5 — CRASH! *2014-03-29, version 1.7.3* I just updated IOS 7.1 on my iphone 5s and now the appradio and carmedia player do not operate. I've gotten bugs to this point but this is ridiculous. I have to restart my phone, go through the entire connection process, maybe the app took. As soon as I back out to operate any other functions, I am prompted to reconfirm connection and likely the appradio doesn't activate, blank screen. When it does activate, the carmedia ceases to function. I am left handling my phone manually and watching my activities on the screen with no more touch capability. UPDATE THE OS ON YOUR DECKS PIONEER!. I spent almost a grand for your nav deck to end up with this. This was very important to me and much appreciated. Five stars. ### 5/5 — Pretty sweet *2012-05-18, version 1.2.0* I've been having issues with the appradio recently, even before getting this app. It happened after the update to the iPhone app that lets the head unit and iPhone talk. Any time tried using the app menu it would just go black and stay that way unit I backed out of it. Today, I did an update for the software on the head unit with the new firmware and now it works perfect again. The update is kind of a pain being that you need two different microSD cards because it's done in two seperate updates; the second of which has three things it updates individually. By the way, read the instructions before doing it otherwise it'll seem to take longer than it needs too (also, you will have to reset the time and date when done.) I downloaded this app the same day I did update and I'm really impressed with it layout and how you maneuver the menu for it. I don't normally do playlist so playlists being in alphabetical order (as read in other reviews) doesn't affect me. The controls are smoother and much quicker to do on the fly unlike the iPod player that is standard on the head unit. It's a big difference when driving and selecting music. I don't see why pioneer didn't just change the old iPod player with this one in the first place. But all in all, I'm loving this app when driving. It's what the appradio absolutely needed when it comes to listening to iPod on a drive. ### 5/5 — Amazing perfection!! *2012-03-29, version 1.0.0* I think this an interface that has been perfected! I now love my appradio in a whole new way. Excellent design and it works with iTunes match. A lot of thought has been put into this design. Now all that needs to be done is replace the default iPod app in the firmware with this one. This was deff worth the wait!!!! The only downside is that you cannot use the steering wheel controls to change tracks or in my case (avh-bhs5500) the buttons on the head unit don't work either.
