## What is Carnatic Music Tools?

Carnatic Music Tools brings the three things you reach for in daily practice into one app, built around Carnatic conventions rather than Western ones — talas with angas and jatis, swaras with their variants, and ragas by their arohana and avarohana.

• Tanpura drone: a four-string Pa·Sa·Sa·Sa tanpura with a natural, shimmering tone. Pick any pitch
  (kattai) and octave.
  • Pa or Ma jod tuning — switch the first string to Ma for ragas without Pa.
  • Keeps playing in the background, on its own or together with the metronome.
  • A waveform shows which string is sounding, and playback starts instantly.
  • The Raga Trainer's practice drone now uses the tanpura sound.
  • Metronome and tanpura volume controls, together in Settings.
