I don’t have a clue ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-12-22, version 1.4.0* Was unable after several attempts to even sign in. Refered me to customer support which is nothing more than automated emails that give you the run around. Asked for refund but refused. Can’t even get into app to cancel. Ongoing. ### 1/5 — BUYER BEWARE! Unexpected recurring charges!!!! *2025-12-17, version 1.4.0* I paid $49.99 for their overpriced ebook, then got hit with an extra $30.99 monthly charge even though I never logged in or used the service. I canceled as soon as I saw it, and they still refused to refund that first subscription charge. I didn’t even know that I had been signed up for a service at all. I thought that I was just buying the book. When I contacted them for a refund, I was told that the recurring nature of the service was clearly laid out during the checkout process. When I assured them it was not, they told me that it was in the terms and conditions. When I asked them to send me a copy of the terms and conditions, they refused. Their refund policy states that they can provide a refund at their discretion. The cookbook, in my opinion, is not worth $50 but I was willing to accept the fact that I had just made a bad purchase. The monthly charge for an account that I had neither set up nor logged into (I didn’t even know I had it) was what I wanted to be refunded but was denied. Carnimeal will reply to this review that the recurring charges are clearly stated. THEY ARE NOT!! Do not assume you are making a one time purchase. If you do buy it, (I wish I never did) cancel immediately unless you truly want a monthly subscription. ### 1/5 — A BIG SCAM *2025-12-01, version 1.3.3* This app is the biggest scam around. You do a one off fee and then they charge you a monthly fee. Very hidden in terms and conditions. Scum bags ### 1/5 — Less Than mid *2025-12-01, version 1.3.2* Online when going through buying the book, it slams you with 20 questions of add ons. It wasn’t very clear, and I apparently bought the app access instead of the ebook. I asked to exchange it and basically got hit with a “to bad, so sad”(of course not word for word). I made sure to check if it was a subscription and cancelled it. The app, less than mid. I personally did not like the interface of it, it is “my personal preference.” In my opinion, the app was 2/3 stars-> 0 stars, the online support wasn’t great nor good. Too bad for me, I can’t hit 0 stars. ### 1/5 — Beware! This is a SCAM!!! *2025-11-25, version 1.3.2* The product is as generic as it can get, and any benefit it gives is overshadowed by the fact that there is a forced recurring charge that you as a customer are not even informed of until it is too late. THIS IS A BIG SCAM, and the company is willing to sacrifice their reputation for a $30 charge. The customer service is practically non-existent, and you are responded to with generic templates emails. You are never informed of a recurring charge on your invoice/proof of purchase (the wording is “one-month plan”, instead of something like “monthly plan” which would be indicative of needing impetus for cancellation. There is only some small print in a passing page during your initial purchase. There is nothing sent to you either before you are charged for the recurring fee, and you only know when you are charged and they will refuse to refund you, and will not be able to show you any proof that you were indeed informed, other than that passing small print in your initial purchase. They will hide under the verbiage that all purchases are non-refundable. This is a hoax, and I have not dealt with a more deceptive company. ### 1/5 — Feels like a SCAM *2025-11-21, version 1.2.4* Went through the app to order the cookbook. In all of this they sign you up for a $31 subscription. So a month later when you see the charge and reach out, they tell you too bad, we won’t refund you. Keep in mind, in the app there is nothing about viewing any subscriptions. So you do not know about it until the charge hits. Seems shady to be automatically signing people up for outrageous subscriptions, yet having nowhere on the app to view your “subscription”. Looks like I will be disputing this charge with my CC company. Be cautious. ### 3/5 — Misleading *2025-11-04, version 1.1.15* Not really solely a carnivore diet app has a lot of other stuff. But that’s not an issue because you can choose an all carnivore plan diet. The most annoying is logging in your exercises and what you ate. They make you choose meals instead of just putting in what you ate. ### 2/5 — App is quite poor *2025-10-23, version 1.1.3* The app doesn’t carry over preferences on food exclusions when setting up based on your plan, and only has a limited choice of products for exclusions - for example, unable to exclude seafood or other main allergy types; it also seems to like recommending organs as a meal or Parmesan cheese as a snack, and one can’t stop this, only swap out the choice each time ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Limited Options *2026-03-24, version 1.6.0* I was hoping for more breakfast options other than eggs since I don’t tolerate eggs, right now I’m substituting fairlife protein shakes for food for breakfast, I only saw one recipe I might try for making breakfast sausage other than that it’s basically leftover steak strips or chicken ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-03-11, version 1.6.0* They sell you on a personalized meal plan in a booklet. They then generate an AI slop PDF that they delete after about a week. Avoid! ### 1/5 — They won’t stop charging my account *2026-02-24, version 1.5.5* I’ve never signed into this account and they’ve charged me for three months now and have no idea how to get ahold of them without opening an account ### 1/5 — Dodgy! *2026-02-23, version 1.5.5* Bought the book and got a month’s worth of app access. Only opened the app once, as it’s not really good. And these people signed me up for life!! The ONLY reason I download and opened the app was because it was allegedly included with the book purchase. I accepted the terms to use the app and was not clearly informed I’d be charged after the one month had ended. It didn’t even ask me to add payment details!!!Automatically liked it to my Paypal account. Totally misleading and abusive! ### 1/5 — SCAM SCAM SCAM *2026-02-21, version 1.5.5* I bought a book from this company & without my knowledge or consent they “automatically” registered me on their app. I hadn’t downloaded the app, given any details or agreed to any payment, but after the first month started being charged. The charge was the first indication that I was even registered with an app I never downloaded. They won’t refund me quoting that I didn’t cancel on time but how could I cancel something I didn’t even know I was signed up for. They are scamming people with hidden charges. Check the reviews they have done this to many people & refuse to refund even after saying to contact them for help. AVOID. ### 1/5 — Arnaque !!! *2026-02-13* J’ai fait l’achat du livre qui est livré correctement avec un e-book et j’ai validé l’abonnement pour UN MOIS. Et mauvaise surprise sur mois suivant, me voilà engagée pour les mois suivants et prélevée sur mon compte sans mon autorisation. Apparemment la supercherie se trouverait dans les petites lignes des conditions générales de ventes. Pourtant le récapitulatif de mon achat ne l’affiche pas. During my purchase, my account was automatically enrolled in a subscription that I did not knowingly select or authorize. When I noticed the charge and contacted customer support to explain that I had not agreed to the subscription, the issue was not resolved. What concerns me most is not just the charge itself, but the way subscriptions can be added without clear, intentional consent from the customer. This is something people should be very careful about. I strongly recommend that anyone using this platform review their checkout selections closely and monitor their statements to ensure they are not enrolled in services they did not intend to purchase. After years of nothing but gaining despite my healthy lifestyle: eating clean and gym routine I decided to do Lion first. That’s no joke! I found it most difficult as I have a lot of mental aversions to meat. I then added eggs and pork. Game changer. I was finally eating enough. After 2 weeks I have added heavy cream and avocado to my diet. 3 weeks in and I’m leaving this review and reporting I’m down 23 pounds. 38 more to achieve my goal.
