## What is CarPlay Tests?

For use by MFi Licensees only. CarPlay Tests app will help you test and validate audio, video, performance and other key requirements needed to successfully certify your CarPlay implementation. For more information about CarPlay certification, visit the MFi Portal at mfi.apple.com.

### 2.19.5 — 2026-07-13

This update includes:

• Renamed Location Recorder utility to Location Performance, which now generates on-device GPS compliance analysis with new pass/fail KPI view. the enhancements also include a redesigned home screen and a revamped CSV export/sharing flow.
• Fixed navigation hang that occurred in “Legs” characteristic screen in Vehicle State Protocol utility. The new view for that specific characteristic shows a summary of the respective leg data.
• Redesigned the CarPlay Tests app UI displayed on the vehicle's accessory.

This update includes:
	•	Added Aux Out playback support in Siri Quality utility.
	•	Expanded Voice Activity mode in Siri Quality utility to support testing all 9 languages simultaneously.
	•	Support for uploading custom playlist during Apple Device Playback test type in Siri Quality utility.
	•	Fixed a Display Plug-in test error that caused an interruption in the AirPlay session.
	•	Fixed an error when switching between patterns on Video Patterns utility.

	•	New Video Overlay utility allows users to test whether different types of overlays are correctly displayed during video playback.
	•	Check Feature String utility now supports videoPlayback as BETA.
	•	Added descriptions for every default route in the Route Guidance utility.

This update includes:
	•	Enhancement to play and detect sweep signals in Channel Routing test instead of constant frequency tones.
	•	Ability to play audios in Channel Routing test result details.
	•	Bug fix in Mixing and Audio Playback utilities for the case where Main Buffered audio wasn’t resumed by the app after a phone call.
