It would be handy to have an App that works with my smart thermostat but this application is fundamentally flawed. Carrier should withdraw this application and fix it. Irritating to buy new thermostats that you can control on your smartphone but there is not a current app with a nice interface that's user friendly. There is nothing beyond the basic functionality you'd get in a $10 programmable thermostat. The app displays weather, but there's nothing you can do with it. No way to link it to adjust the thermostat. There is no way to set a recurring schedule. It tells you the humidity, but you can't adjust it. There is no way to set alerts. (ie. tell me when the indoor temp reaches 100 degrees and the AC is off.) No reminders for changing filters. No way to save multiple profiles for programming. It doesn't keep track of how long the HVAC has been on, what time. These are simple things that should be incorporated in the next version to make it useful. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — So dumb *2021-12-09, version 2.3.5* I'm constantly having to re-log in to the app with my email and password. It's so inconvenient and unnecessary. Phone apps are supposed to make things easier. So quite often I'll just go to the thermostat instead of using the app. Kinda defeats the whole purpose. ### 1/5 — App is full of bugs, just as bad as the thermostats *2021-06-29, version 2.3.5* Frustrating app to use, doesn’t display any weather ### 1/5 — Useless *2020-12-15, version 2.3.5* After connecting only with my iPhone but not my iPad, this app now refuses to connect to Carrier from my iPhone as well. Returns “invalid user or password” message even though I can log into Carrier with the same credentials via a browser.
