I downloaded the App, but it doesn’t work. Received my new account number, but their Webpage doesn’t let me register. Customer service couldn’t help me either. I’m not planning on using WesternUnion quick collect unless Carrington pays delivery fee. And that folks, has been my first experience with Carrington Mortgage Services, a very disappointing experience. ### 1/5 — What a joke! *2022-06-15, version 4.6.7* They deserve no starts at all……This is a horrible mortgage company. Just got switched to this company in January without our consent, and we are ready to refinance already. You never get a straight answer about anything. We are definitely not pleased with them and looking to refinance immediately. ### 1/5 — Is this an app? *2022-06-08, version 4.6.7* This “app” is a glorified LINK to the website, but not functional like the website. It’s very limited. I was better off just going to the website for full account access. ### 1/5 — Worst mortgage company ever *2022-05-20, version 4.6.7* Transferred to Carrington from Chase, Chase is wonderful. Carrington has been nothing but issues, been trying to have them fix a name spelling error they made, for 6 months now and still not done, now can’t make payments via the web, app or when I call. Don’t use Carrington if you have the choice 👎🏼 ### 1/5 — Terrible *2022-03-04, version 4.6.7* The app is broken. It won’t accept login information (exactly the same as online). A month after reporting it to customer service and still nothing done. Apparently it is “a known problem”. Maybe it’s just another indication of the customer service level. ### 1/5 — Predatory mortgage company *2022-03-03, version 4.6.7* Like many others, my mortgage was bought out by Carrington. What normally would be a small hassle of switching accounts and adding the payment info again has been a literal nightmare. Login credentials get rejected every time on the app. Phone wait times are currently over an hour. The web portal is virtually inaccessible around the end/first of the month. Loads of ridiculous fees added for basic services like autopay or phone pay. Refinance elsewhere as soon as you can. ### 1/5 — App not working *2022-02-28, version 4.6.7* As another user wrote can’t log in using app. I am able to log in using web browser. There are blank check boxes, it keeps saying i havent paid before therefore i cant make my first payment?? Doesnt make any sense. Then it tells me my name is too long, so i change it but then it defaults back. The website seemed way better at first but then i started getting the same errors. So yeah, no good ### 1/5 — New Transfer - App Broken? *2022-02-10, version 4.6.7* I just got transferred to Carrington from Cenlar (which had a fantastic mobile app btw), but after days of trying to sort through their app and a customer service call I was finally able to get access to my web based account, just tried setting up the app however, and the buttons don’t even work? Anyone else have a solution to this or is the mobile app just a total bust? ### 1/5 — The app no longer works *2022-02-09, version 4.6.7* I used to enjoy using this app. I could pay my mortgage in a matter of minutes and check on my account. Then once it let me start putting in my login to my password I would hit submit and nothing happens. I have been trying to make a payment for a week they won’t answer my phone call their online payment doesn’t work and even their app won’t let me log in to make a payment. It does absolutely nothing when I click the sign-in button after inputting my credentials. Currently on hold for 40+ minutes on the phone. This mobile app doesn’t even work. Won’t allow me to login. It’s 22 and they don’t answer the phone, have an inefficient website that doesn’t allow you to make a payment, and now an App that just doesn’t work. I hate that these clowns bought my mortgage. Just take my money! In a lot of the info panes, the font is the same color as the background so you cant read the selections or know what you're typing. ### 1/5 — Not a good company wish I was never transferred to them *2022-12-09, version 5.0.9* This mortgage company is trash. My mortgage was transferred to them and they have yet reported my mortgage payments to the credit bureaus. One of my creditors sent me letter decreasing my spending usage because it’s reporting on my credit report that I don’t have a mortgage or a failed to keep one. I e called them twice and still they have not reported my payments or that I have a mortgage. They are trash and I’m annoyed I wish my mortgage was never sold to this company. I give 0 stars if I could. I pay my mortgage on time and it doesn’t reflect my report it’s been 5 months think I need to report them because this is messing up my financial suability. I’m very upset ### 1/5 — Invisible text *2022-12-01, version 5.0.9* There is invisible text all over this app, especially in important areas like payment information. It’s crazy that something as simple as changing the font color so we can actually make a payment hasn’t been done. ### 1/5 — This app hardly functions. *2022-11-15, version 5.0.9* Their website is hardly any better. Carrington should really reinvest some of the money back into this app. This is a bad deal for people like me who prefer the convenience of simplicity. Carrington seems to do the opposite and make things more complex. Research some other financial institutions and see how functional their apps are. ### 1/5 — Who ever updated this app needs to be slapped. *2022-08-03, version 5.0.9* Since this recent update m, I had the most trouble making a payment. First off I had to re-enter my banking information. While doing so, there are only buttons asking witch account type, but beside the buttons doesn’t show an account type to select. I just had to guess. Fortunately, the confirm payment screen showed which type of account. In addition, after submitting the payment, I get an error saying cannot connect to my bank. I mean, like really, it’s the same account since I started. How about leave well enough alone… so frustrating!!! ### 1/5 — Why do I need this app *2022-08-02, version 5.0.9* I am so tired of being forced to download payment apps. A lot of the text isn’t even visible when processing a payment. Hopefully I did it correctly. ### 1/5 — Cannot use the app for payment *2022-07-29, version 5.0.9* The text boxes are invisible when attempting to toggle between different options while trying to input payment information, so you cannot see what button you are toggling (Account type: two options you can check, can’t see what either option is, for example) ### 1/5 — Useless App *2022-07-01, version 4.6.7* For several months this app has not worked. I open it and all I see is the top line of the first page. I decided to delete it and start over. Well, once I reloaded, I signed in and tapped the “face of” button. Now I am stuck with the acknowledgement on the screen because the box won’t stay scrolled up to allow me to select accept. It’s a fairly simple app. Not sure why they can’t get this right. ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works great! *2020-10-05, version 4.5.9* I loaded this app and made my first payment in mere seconds. It’s well integrated with the Carrington website so getting up and running was effortless. Next time will be even easier using the Quick Pay feature. ### 5/5 — A few minor bugs. Great new app. *2020-07-02, version 4.5.7* I’ve been hoping for a faster way to log in away from my computer to pay. Very convenient. I’m sure the minor bugs will be worked out in the next update release. Flawlessly made a mortgage payment using the app this morning. Thanks. ### 4/5 — One thing missing.. *2022-04-04, version 4.6.7* I’m mostly happy with the app overall. A lot of people are complaining about the convenience fee for paying online but I am not charged one. Perhaps because I pay them via bank draft instead of credit or debit card. One thing I do NOT like about the app is that it does not show when you have a PENDING payment already submitted. It should be easy enough to put on the summary screen or at least on the payment screen. This is important especially for people who pay via bank draft since those don’t clear and post immediately like a credit or debit card. ### 3/5 — Please fix app login when 2 factor authentication is turned on *2022-02-13, version 4.6.7* App will not let you login when 2 factor is enabled. They also haven’t reported to the credit bureau since getting our mortgage transferred to them. Our credit score dropped 56 points because of this.
