## What is Carroted Maps?

Carroted Maps puts your team on one live map, with or without cell signal. Share live location with your group, see everyone on GPS, drop pins and routes, and chat right on the map. When the network drops, pair a LoRa radio and keep going over an off-grid mesh network.

The group location tracker for hiking, hunting and ski groups, search and rescue teams, festivals and event crews, overlanding convoys, airsoft teams and field workers: anyone who needs to know where their people are.

TEAM MAP: YOUR WHOLE GROUP, LIVE
• Everyone appears on the team map the moment they join, with heading and last seen
• Live location sharing for 15 minutes, 1 hour or 8 hours, even with the phone locked
• Pins, routes and zones the whole group sees instantly, with photos, voice notes and comments
• Record your GPS track and save it as a route for the team
• Search people, pins, places or a pasted coordinate

OFFLINE MESH: KEEP TRACKING WITH NO SIGNAL
• Pair a LoRa radio running Meshtastic or MeshCore firmware over Bluetooth
• Locations, pins and messages hop radio to radio across the mesh, 10 km or more between radios
• An offline group tracker and messenger for places with no cell service
• Mesh channels are encrypted with your passphrase
• Relay Bridge links a radio group to an online group, so both see the same live map
• Radio-only groups need no account
• Set up your radio in the app: channels, region, power, repeater mode

CHAT ON THE MAP
• Group chat sits over the live map
• Voice notes and photos
• Mention a pin and teammates tap straight to it
• Over the mesh, every message shows pending, sent or failed

ROUTES TO ANYONE
• Tap Route on any pin, teammate or live vehicle for the way there by car, on foot or by bike
• Distance and time at a glance, and save the route to the map for everyone
• Navigate hands any place to Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze

REPLAY
• Scrub back through the group's map, people and chat, change by change
• Find an item someone deleted, or see who was where during an operation
• Works for radio groups too, recorded on your phone

GEOFENCE ALERT ZONES
• Draw a geofence around camp, a venue or a no-go area
• The moment someone enters or leaves, the group gets a push alert
• Zones watch radio trackers and live data as well as people

LIVE DATA AND API
• Push vehicles, GPS trackers and sensors from your own systems to a group's map
• Each one shows live with its heading, metrics and details, and dims when it goes quiet
• Read and write pins, routes and zones with your personal API key

MAPS AND LAYERS
• Standard, satellite and terrain maps
• Weather and traffic layers, as many at once as you need
• Map areas you have viewed stay on your phone and keep working offline

GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS
• Invite with a link, a code or a QR scan
• Admin, member and viewer roles
• Organizations hold many groups with shared members
• Cloud backups and file export for every group

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2026-07-12*

Pretty cool app. It’s nice to see some alternatives to native application. The app is simplicity yet offers some nice features. Stressing team integration and tracking on the front end is cool. Overlays are a bonus. Developer is responsive and constantly working to make it better.
