Their representative gave numerous false points in his report. I was surprised to see that the report listed my car as being scratched and dented from all sides, including the roof. No wall of the car was listed to be in a satisfactory condition. Thus, when the car was put up for auction, there were no buyers at all. That’s their strategy. List so many problems in the car, that it looks as if the car has been through so many accidents and has been badly damaged all over. Even though there are just a few scratches with passage of time Abe nothing else. Thus, resulting in very low price for sale of your car, which they will buy, Polish and resell at a premium. What a waste. Not to mention that they charge ₹149 for inspection, and another ₹353 for downloading the car’s report. Their report lacks credibility. Do not waste your car and money on their inspection. Do not trust them for sale of your vehicle. Do not pay them for inspection or its report. Kindly fix at the earliest ### 5/5 — Experience Selling Car Online-Quite Satisfied. *2023-09-21* I was looking at selling my Hyundai Creta 2013, have not sold anything online ever. I was little hesitant too. Spoke to one local dealer and that was enough for me; many annoying calls and very low offers. Had heard of cars24 from a few people. Downloaded the app, features and options kaafi accha laga. I registered and a person visited and finished the inspection of the car one Saturday morning. Bandha, full inspection kiya almost 45 minutes including tyre thread 😊, paint thickness, etc. My Creta was well maintained, idhar udhar scratches the. Offer was shared, while it seemed a bit low to me, in comparison to the quotes I received from my local dealer, this seemed okay, and I agreed. The documentation was done, the best part was the payment was transferred to my account promptly-this made my day, I was crazy anxious until the money came. They were lowballing telling Vento ka resale price nahi hai. I booked an appointment for a home inspection with CARS24. Gaurav was the executive who visited us. He took almost 45 minutes to inspect everything in the car. He told me they auction the car online and there are 1000s of dealers who bid for the car and we are given the best bid offer. I quite like this system. I received the quote by evening and it was by far the best price; the local dealers were just trying to rip me off. I went ahead and the amount was transferred to my account right away. What surprised me was that I had an expected price in my mind which was realistic, and I got that price from CARS24. They have been selling and buying cars for years now and I am sure they are using data points to arrive at offers. Do din ke baad inki legal team ke Bhaskar naam ke ladke ne call kiya aur mujhse details maangi or 24hrs ke andar reply sajayega bola. Uske baad se har roz mai inke call center me call kiya but ab Tak koi exact solution nai mila. At the end Bhaskar ne bola sir iss car ko hame wapas se sell kardo aap app me sell ur vehicle ke section me jaake car k inspection k liye register karlo. Inspection ke baad inki sales team ke Vicky from Moti Nagar branch ne mujhe contact kiya or gaadi ki 3.30lac me sell karne ka option bataya. Mr Arun Kumar Kannan was the sales person who helped me purchase my car. He understood my requirements very well and took extra efforts to help me buy the car of my choice through Cars 24. He is very professional and at the same time very friendly and approachable. He has an in-depth knowledge of Cars & also very well understands customer needs. Mr Abhishek Tripathi also helped me to close the deal in a timely manner. Initially, you showed my car’s estimated value as around ₹4.6 lakh and informed me that the car inspection was free. After the inspection was completed, the inspection person asked me to pay ₹600 for sell car in auction and after this your car actual value showing. I paid the ₹600, expecting my car to be valued close to the amount initially shown. After receiving the payment, you added my car to the auction and then informed me that the maximum value of my car was only ₹3.4 lakh. Why was this information not clearly disclosed before I paid the ₹600 inspection fee? This is misleading and unfair to customers. If the maximum valuation was only ₹3.4 lakh, you should have clearly informed me about this before taking the inspection fee. Please explain why the valuation was initially shown as around ₹4.6 lakh and then reduced to ₹3.4 lakh after I made the payment. After this, one of your customer executives called me and asked me to pay another ₹799 to list my car on the customer platform. He assured me that my car could be sold for more than ₹4 lakh. However, I would have to spend additional money again without any guarantee of getting that price, which I am not willing to do. I have now decided to approach Maruti True Value, where I understand there are no hidden charges or processing fees. I went through their “get instant car price” portal which gave me an estimate. Then i was instructed to book a free appointment of the car. After the appointment was completed, i was shown to select two types of their auction plans. I was manipulated to buy the costlier option. I was told that the auction and inspection report would appear shortly after i complete their review and ratings of their service employee. The worker did his work professionally so i added a tip. When the inspection report came of my car, it had false information relating to my car such as Spare key not available RC not available Even though all documents were duly provided to the representative. He did not ask me about the spare key too, even though i had it with me. Overall inspection of the car was with very poor accuracy. I had recently serviced the car which eliminated most of the minor issues in the car. However in the review, everything was exaggerated to be otherwise. This is done deliberately to lower the price of the auction. On the other hand the inspection person who visited gave wrong information about my car in inspection eg. “He mentioned that pollution certificate is not there for the car, even though I shared the document on the app where the RC clearly indicates the PUC expiry date which was valid.” It seems that they intentionally devalued the car, as my car was in good condition and made me a sale offer that was pathetic. The inspection person not only manipulated me to buy a membership for 3 months ad campaign on Cars24, but also asked and took a tip from me. This was done before they gave the value of the car. After that, when I received call from them for selling the car, they started the conversation with the words “nobody will give even this much for the car”. I was extremely disappointed with their approach. Eventually I reached out to Spinny, where long story short, I sold my car at a price INR 1 Lakh higher than the price quoted by Cars24. I tried to sell my car through Cars24, and their engineer came to inspect it. After the inspection, I received a call from a lady named Ayushi from Cars24. She said that if I wanted to list my car for sale, I would have to list it on the Cars24 app and pay an amount of ₹2,124. After that, I would start receiving buyer price offers, and if the offer wasn't satisfactory according to my demanded price, I would get a full refund within 15 days through their refund policy. I told her I would discuss it with my family first. After that, the lady called me 3-4 times daily, urging me to pay the fees. I was busy with work at the time, so I asked for some time. But she kept forcing me, saying that according to their policy, I would get a good price for my car, or I would get a full refund within 15 days. So, I made the payment on November 22, 2025. Now, the important thing is that it's been 41 days since the car was listed, and I've only received one offer, which was a very low price compared to my demanded price, so I rejected it. When I call the lady named Ayushi, she doesn't answer, and when she does, she says, "Sir, I have submitted a request; your refund will arrive." But no refund has come, and now she has stopped answering my calls altogether. These people claim Cars24 is a No. 1 trusted company. So who is responsible for this now? After that nobody comes, after waiting for hour or two when you call their representative he will say waiting for advance from channel partner and once done they will update you. After that they just back out and gives the reason which shows you have not accepted the price within given time, you are at fault. Then you try to follow up to representatives which do not reply to messages or calls. You try to schedule call back from given link but no call back received afterwards It's scam now if you go to local dealer again they will now offer lower that what was offered earlier. I think they are sharing profits with local dealers with such collaboration. The executive initially promised an offer of ₹2.40 lakh and scheduled a vehicle pickup accordingly. Since I'm currently in the US, I arranged for my sister to be available during the pickup time. However, the pickup agent failed to show up not just once, but for three consecutive days. It was only on the fourth day that someone finally arrived, only to redo the inspection—something that had already been completed earlier as part of the initial process. After this second inspection, I was told there were "deviations" in the parameters, and the previously agreed-upon amount could no longer be honored. To make matters worse, they suddenly mentioned a ₹6,000 deduction for a challan at the very last moment—something that had never been communicated before. I had other offers but chose to proceed with Cars24 assuming the deal was almost finalized. In doing so, I compromised ₹10,000–₹15,000 just to avoid delays. Unfortunately, the executive is now unresponsive, and there has been no follow-up or resolution from their side. Is this how a professional service should operate? I was told by their inspection agent that by paying ₹1100, my car would be listed for auction for 90 days. Based on this assurance, I made the payment through the app. But right after paying, I was shocked to find out that the ₹1100 was only for the inspection, and I was prompted to pay again if I wanted to actually feature in an auction. This is a clear case of miscommunication and misleading sales tactics. I would never have opted for the inspection in the first place if I knew it wasn’t tied to the auction listing. It felt like a trap to get me to pay, and now I’ve wasted my money for something I didn’t want. Cars24 needs to train their agents properly and be transparent with their pricing and process. Customers should not be tricked into payments under false assumptions. Extremely disappointed. I do not recommend using their service unless they clean up their act. Update : While Cars24 did provide me with a refund, I am disappointed that their team has been repeatedly pestering me to change my review to 5 stars, saying that their management is pressuring them. Genuine service should naturally earn positive reviews, not forced ones. You can search for the brand, make, year of manufacture, ownership status, insurance, city in any combination that meets your needs. I also like that they upload pictures, exterior and interiors that includes scratches, and paint work, or mechanical defects if any. I bought a 2019 Baleno from CARS24. The pre-sales and post-sales team is good. They ensured that I had a great buying experience. The car detailing was done well, a couple of things that I pointed out were addressed. RC transfer took almost 2 months but it was more of an RTO issue. The team also reached out to me on follow up calls for feedback. Few things I liked from the service team, transparency from day 1, every little policy was explained in detail, 7-day return policy and Seller Protection Policy. All my doubts were clarified. My company was sending me onsite and I had to sell my car immediately, a well-maintained Ford Ecosport. I booked an appointment on the App. The person came to my apartment and inspected the car in a very detailed manner. Got a call the next day with an offer, was a little lower than I expected but then a good price, Ford discontinued in India might have been a factor too. Once I agreed to the price and gave my consent, things moved fast. The team from CARS24 asked for a list of documents and once I handed them over to them and signed a few papers from their side, the payment was credited the next day to my account. It would have been near impossible to sell it through local dealers so easily. I see more ads and more features in most online apps. With CARS24, the noticeable difference I see is their collection of cars across brands and cities. I read somewhere they buy used cars, refurbish them thoroughly and then list them. That could explain the inventory. Another feature I sort of like is the HD pictures; both exteriors and interiors. I was looking for Hyundai Verna, found more than 410 listings in Bangalore alone. Every detail you want to look at, ownership, insurance status, repairs, scratches, etc. I booked a test drive. I am a car enthusiast and I had done my homework. Should say, their process is as hassle-free as it can get. Once I confirmed my choice and finished the paperwork, the car was delivered to me within 48 hours. Very happy customer. With CARS24, I booked an appointment after I browsed the brand, the year of manufacturing, specific colour, etc. for hours until I found something that suited my needs and budget. The online listing on Cars24 had all the details, insurance, ownership, and a few minor scratches on the bumper; everything with clear pictures of both the interiors and exteriors of the car. I would say I came out a happy customer with a car I love driving. The documentation part was taken care too. I had nothing to worry about at all. I bought my last car with a local dealer back in Bangalore where I was working. These are two completely different experiences. The experience with the local dealer was not something I would want to go through again. Too many calls, too many follow ups and unkept promises. Finally, I had to spend a substantial amount from my pocket to live with the car I bought 😊. Most models, single owner, comprehensive insurance paid, and in the colours that I was looking for were available this time. I was spoilt for choices. The team support was good too. I booked a test drive for VW Polo GT 2017. The test drive went smooth; I pointed out a few things and the team made a note and assured me it will be fixed. I went ahead with the booking and pretty happy with me decision. I am always in favor of buying quality used cars instead of showroom cars.
