My phone is constantly dying with new iPhone updates and once that happens, I’m not able to get in without support that’s not always available in time. Please have your developers create compatibility for Apple Watch to be able to UNLOCK DOORS. Or at least a 4-6 PIN option. Joke of a company ### 1/5 — Electronic keys never work work *2025-12-21, version 2.47.2* Literally the worst app I have ever used. Rose Management uses this app for 18 dock in stamford and the electronic keys never work, my guests can never figure them out, and I can’t even use the app to access my own unit. Carson should pivot and do something else because they clearly can’t do what they claim to do today. ### 1/5 — I would rather be a victim of a hate crime than use this app *2025-12-20* You have a far higher chance of surviving omaha beach as a first wave, 15 year-old private than getting this unusable, rage inducing, braindead app to open the door to your own apartment. I would rather spend my night in a lawnchair on the freeway than stading in front of my door with groceries locked out of my own apartment because the carson app is too moronic to let me in. If I see the yellow light blink on my door one more time I will consider taking the quick way down to the bottom floor by jumping out of the 5th story window. If your apartment complex uses the carson app I would suggest finding a different apartment or consider the homeless life as it will be far less aggrivating than dealing with this ineffectual and good for nothing excuse of an app. Im actually considering self-harm after my most recent experience being locked out of my apartment. Save your mental health and future life as an alcholic by refraining from download this app. ### 5/5 — I LOVE this app! *2025-12-03, version 2.47.1* I am obsessed with this app! It makes my life so much easier. We use this to get into our office and elevator and it is so helpful ### 1/5 — Breaks account every 30d *2025-11-26, version 2.47.1* The functionality to share access again after the 30d limit expires does not work. It deactivated the account. Every single time. The response I was given was to create a new account… so I have to create a new account every month. ### 1/5 — Basic and nothing but *2025-11-24, version 2.47.1* Works but sometimes that’s really not sufficient. Guests need the app to enter which no other app needs. Widget only gives you the ability to open the app which can pretty much be solved with just the app on a Home Screen, the widgets need to be customizable based on which doors I want to have. Can’t solve that problem with Siri either cz it doesn’t tap into the Apple APIs for Siri shortcuts. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2025-11-22, version 2.47.1* This app is deeply flawed and consistently unreliable. More often than not digital keys stop working and do not update. Trey, Engineering at Carson ### 1/5 — Main Reason I’m Leaving My Apt *2026-05-15, version 2.47.6* This app is nothing but an inconvenience. It delays me getting into my own house, the amenities in my building, and it hardly works on a regular basis. Please, don’t consider this app unless you want constant frustration ### 1/5 — Awful *2026-05-02* If I could give this app zero stars I would. I’ve been using this app to house sit for my friends for two weeks and this app has worked exactly twice. There is no key to get into this building and only this app which continuously says I’m out of range while standing next to the door- even while always allowing the app to access my location. My friend who is overseas had to call tech support and deal with that while I was stuck outside the building as a single woman in the middle of Brooklyn. So awful- I’ve never had to use an app so dysfunctional before and this one is supposed to be your keys?? With new release, why on Earth did you add a new screen after clicking Unlock. Makes no sense and forces user to immediately close the nonsense screen to be able to SEE the door unlock as guest enters. App developers are making a bad mobile application, worse. There is no Quality Control and the app developer(s) need to consider another line of work. If you use this software for one of your buildings, you will be constantly troubleshooting for your tenants. Building access is quick and reliable, package notifications are super helpful, and it’s so much easier having maintenance requests and other building features all in one place instead of juggling emails, keys, or different systems. The app is really well designed, easy to navigate, and makes day-to-day life in my building so much more convenient. Definitely one of the best building apps I’ve used! ### 5/5 — So good *2026-07-21* I was happy with the newer touch screen intercoms when I first moved to NYC- love just using the app rather than a key. Then we got Carson, which seemingly does the one thing the other systems can’t and that’s handling visitors accordingly. Ppl loitering around our building when we had bmx would still just wait until somebody got fed up and let them in. With Carson, they can have a real conversation with the tech doorman who will let them in or turn them away…none of the in between guessing. Our property manager became a Carson customer and I haven’t had any package issues since. I also can reserve amenities inside my building now. Couldn’t do that before.
