## What is Cart Ledger?

Cart Ledger helps you answer one practical shopping question: is today's price actually good?

Log what you paid, where you bought it, the package size, and the unit. Cart Ledger calculates unit price and shows how today's price compares with your own history.

Use Cart Ledger for the repeat staples you buy again and again. Check your latest price, your best price, your usual price, and whether a pack size changed over time.

With Cart Ledger, you can:

- log grocery prices with store, date, package size, unit, and notes
- see unit price before saving an entry
- review latest, best, and usual prices for each product
- compare the stores you actually shop using your own entries
- see a simple deal status based on your personal history
- spot when a package size changed in your history
- favorite staple products and jump back to recent items

Cart Ledger is manual by design. It does not fetch live prices, scan receipts, or rely on a public grocery database.

Price history stays on-device first, and no account is required for the core experience.
